  1. Alright, thanks. Seeing as how Bunyap is not around, I guess getting it resized isn't really an option. I just went in and used the SUU-30 model for the CBU-87 and CBU-89. Doesn't look perfect, but the weapons don't overlap and I think it looks better. Is it the same story for re-skinning a weapon? I was thinking that the rockeye model would work as well, just needs the CBU-87 skin on it. Sorry if these questions are rediculous. I know nothing about the 3D modeling and skinning aspect of the series. Thanks for the help!
  2. Great Mod so far!!! FYI - I went to fly CAS in the F-15E, and had no A/G weapons. In the loadout.ini for that A/C, CBU-58 is called out. However, it's not in the weapons data.
  3. Check post # 18: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=30147
  4. Check out my WOV Ground War Enhancement in the campaign downloads section. It adds SPAD's to Rolling thunder, as well as adds CAS ops for A-7's, A-4's, and F-100's. I have a modified LBII that I use with F-111A's added, but that isn't included in the download. You can just follow the instructions in the Knowlede base, though, to add an F-111 squadron.
  5. FOTI and Memphis Belle are two of my favorite movies. FOTI could be considered in "B" movie category, but I love it. Danny Glover cracks me up. I just ignore the rest of the crappy acting... One of the reasons I like these two movies is that they came before the age of CGI-everything (even stuff that doesn't need to be). There are acutally real aircraft flying in the movie, and it makes the movie so much more enjoyable and realistic for me. I mean, how much would the Sandy scene suck with CGI skyraiders...?
  6. One of my all time favorite movies and books. Many people have asked about DIANE in TW sims, and the answer is no, it can't really be done. Mig Buster's CCIP add-on is the closest thing you'll find. I've also found that you can use references on the Bombsight glass and/or cockpit to figure out the correct release points for various altitudes/speeds. Then you can forget about your troubles, forget about your cares, and go... ...DOWNTOWN!!!
  7. I have the AV8R. Great all around stick good for jets, props, multi engine, and helo's. I recommend it.
  8. He brings up a good point about the Highway Runway Airfield mod and CA_Stary's latest tree mod. Do those work together? I realize that's one thing I forgot to check when I installed the latest tree mod...
  9. There are three downloads to download on this page: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...amp;showcat=339
  10. I currently have the modded flare effect (I think it's out of EE2 or EE3...?) in all my installs. I was trying to copy and add the appropriate files to my ODS install. But I couldn't get it to work. The flare ended up looking all pixelated. Can someone tell me which files I need to copy out of EE2 to get the flares to work properly in ODS? Thanks!
  11. FYI, there's a typo in the loadout.ini for the D. For the strike loadout, the rack type is MER and the quantity is BRU3A. Results in no loadout on strikes.
  12. Just curious, did the F-111A have internal chaff and flares when it was first rolled out? The old F-111A didn't, but the new one does...
  13. Whatcha building right now?

My next project, once I have some free time. http://www.parkjets.com/F-18-jetset44.html
  14. FC is correct, you'll have to buy WOV. Also remember that that mod works best with the older patch (august '06), not the latest '08 patches.
  15. I'm working on modding the WoV RT and LBI campaigns to add missions striking VC camps and such in the South Vietnam and Laos. I'm using the primary and secondary air offensive targets to control the frequency of strike missions in the south, and I'm curious about the ratio between strikes up north and strikes down south. Now, I know some aircraft and units were specialized for CAS and missions in South Vietnam (F-100's and Skyraiders, maybe even A-7's). But for a lot of the other strike aircraft (F-105's, A-6's, F-4's, A-4's), how often should they be hitting soft targets in the South vs heading up North for heavily defended targets. Is it a one to one ratio? Should one or the other be the exception? Like I said, I know it varies between aircraft types, units, and individuals, but I'm just looking for a general idea for how to balance my campaign. Input from experts and those with experiences welcome! Thanks!
  16. Hey guys, I have another question along similar lines to my first one. I've created separate campaigns to deal with the war up north and the war in the south. It just works out best that way with enemy air opposition and some other things. So now I have extremely fine control over target locations. For the "war up North" campaigns, there are no targets in the south. It just works out best that way with enemy air opposition and some other things. For the war in the south, it's still possible to have units tasked with striking targets in the North. So, two questions: 1. USMC air units - Did they ever go north, or did they only fly in the south in support of ground units? 2. Were there any squadrons in the USN (A-4, F-4, A-6, A-7) that only flew in the south, or did all of them share some part of the work load up north? Thanks for your help!
  17. Yeah, I think that's the jist of what I figured out.
  18. I tried all sorts of combinations of Forest and Farms and the 3 seasons mod using different data.ini's in or not in folders. What I found was that the game only looks for a data.ini in the main terrain folder. If it doesn't find one there, it pulls the one out of the .cat file. Therefore, all three seasons need to share the same data.ini. Since forest and farms uses a different data.ini, it's not compatible with the 3 seasons mod. What I did (CA_Stary, I think you suggested this) was put the autumn data.ini and all tree and building files in the main terrain folder as well as the autumn folder (even though the data.ini doesn't need to be in the autumn folder). The results was autumn and winter during the right seasons, and during summer/spring I get the default tiles with the autumn trees placed per the autumn data.ini. It still looks pretty good, but some summer trees that are compatible with the autumn data.ini would be ideal!
  19. Has anyone else noticed that if you select a squadron the doesn't start at the beginning of the campaign in any of the 3 WOV campaigns (13th TFS in RT, for example), you just get tasked to strike the Noi Bai airfield over and over again? Any ideas what's going on?
  20. OK, so TK confirmed that it's probably related to the patch, but it doesn't sound like it's going to get fixed. So for me, for now, I'm considering WOV broken with the latest patch and reverting back to the old patch. No more gun jams, armed recon, or terrific AI. :( BTW, does anyone know if FM data from the Sept '08 patches will work with SP4? I have a lot of aircraft_data.ini files that I've tweaked weapon stations and such on, and I'd like to just copy those over to the SP4 if I can.
  21. Here's TK's reply. Not too promising... http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB/viewtopic.p...p;sk=t&sd=a Does any know/remember if this happened with the older patch? *edit* - had to go home at lunch, so I did a clean install with the old patch and did not get the Noi Bai issue. So it's definitely something to do with the newest patch.
  22. OK thanks. I posted there as well. Hopefully I'll hear something about a fix soon!
  23. Because I just did it about a week ago! My WOE, WOV, Falklands 1982, WOK, OTC, and LBIII installs all fit on 1 DVD. Another DVD to back up the .rar files for all the downloads in case I need any of them.
  24. Maybe you already got this, but all you have to do to prevent getting unusual mission types for a given aircraft, is go into its data.ini file, and remove those missions types from Primary and Secondary roles in the top of the file. I've done the same thing for my Thud's, and I only get Strike, SEAD, CAS, and Armed Recon in campaigns. No more A/A.
