  1. Yes, WOE supports intercept. Also, FWIW, if you want intercept missions in WOV random single missions, you might try looking through the menu folder and replacing the 'singlemissionmenu.dll' file with the one from WOE. It changes the available missions in the drop down list (it'll have SEAD instead of Iron Hand), and it might add intercepts. Just back-up everything first. To get them (from the blue side) in a WOV campaign, you'll have do some major alterations to the campaign_data.ini to get the N.V. to go on offensive and then give them squadrons with strike capability.
  2. I haven't tried that yet. It would fun to play around with it, though... (in other words - go for it!) Let us know how it works. I don't know enough about the different air campaigns to know which target areas to focus on at what times.
  3. Freetrack

Yes, I have it and use it. I spent a few hours with a friend soldiering up the hat and getting it to work. I am 100% glad that I went the $25-$30 route and did not spend a ton of money on track IR. Of course, I can't compare the two, but I can't see how track IR is $150 better. There is a support forum at the free-track website and there is a whole section on hardware/software setup. I'm sure you could find all the info you need to get up and running.
  4. Really looking forward to this mod. I'm just worried about setting aside enough time to download and install all the mods required. Maybe next time the one installer could have all the required downloads/mods included in it... Maybe you could call it an all-in-one insaller...
  5. OK, so I was doing some SEAD in the A-6A the other day, and noticed it was a little difficult due to the lack of a visual RWR. The stock WOV A-6A doesn't have one, and that's accurate as far as I know. A-6B's had sort of a visual RWR, and they were the ones used for SEAD. There are three ways I could deal with this: 1. Add the RWR to the A-6A pit - I know there is a mod for this available, but since the real A-6A didn't have an RWR, I don't want to add one to mine. There's something about hearing the RWR but not seeing it that makes things a little more exciting. Ya know? 2. Create (or download) an A-6B with the RWR in the pit - Yeah, this would be fine except that I'd have to go into the campaigns and add A-6B squadrons and change all the mission rates, and I don't think having a squadron with 100% SEAD and 0% everything else will work with the way the campaign engine works. 3. Find some way to be able to "convert" the A-6A into a 'B' during SEAD missions only - I was thinking about doing something similar to the Bombsight for the Canberra in the falkalnds mod, where pressing the tailhook key brings up a bomb sight view with a working bombsight. Is there a way to do something similar in the A-6A, only use maybe the bombay key and have it bring up a RWR? This would allow you to fly the aircraft as an 'A' normally, and just bring up the RWR when you're on SEAD missions (when you're in the "B"). What do you think? Anyone know how to make it work?
  6. Try these. F_15E_LOADOUT.txt F_15E_DATA.txt The loadout is based off of something I got from a website detailing loadouts used in some of the more recent conflicts. The data.ini update just adjusts some of the load limits for stations to match the loadout.ini file.
  7. Tree mods, for sure. Widesky after those.
  8. The SA-8 has always worked for me and been one of the more aggressive SAM's, actually... The SA-9 and SA-13, however, seem to be a little pickier about what they'll fire at. Try flying right over one at about 4-5 thousand feet. Also, I changed the weapon data for my SA-9 missile so that the FOV's and lock on chance match that of the SA-13. I get a lot more launches that way.
  9. The bird dog is still in my aircraft folder...
  10. How are you celebrating tonight?

    How am I celebrating? Drunkenly!
  11. Hey all, I noticed last night when playing some strike missions in the 'ole F-100D, that the inner weps stations have a max load of 680.40, which allows 3 MK82's on a TER, but only 2 Snakeyes. So, I was thinking of bumping the limit up to 763 to allow 3 snakes as well. That weight will allow only 2 CBU-24's, 2 M117's, and 2 BLU-1's on each inner pylon. Since I'm tweaking the numbers, I thought I try and find out what the F-100 could acutally carry on those inboard stations (ie - should I increase it even further to allow 3 CBU's, 3 M117's, etc...). However, I couldn't find any loadout information for the F-100 online anywhere. Does anyone know what munitions they carried on TER's on the inner pylons? Thanks! PS - I checked the weapons fixes thread, and noticed that it has the same weight limit (680.40), but then lists 3 CBU's on TER's in the loadout update, which is a bit confusing since 3 CBU's will be somewhere above 1000kg total.
  12. I know FAC has never marked targets, but I thought I remember him at least being there and flying in circles before. However, lately, I haven't seen him anywhere. Even made sure that UseFAC=True in the campaign_data.ini file. Doesn't really matter, though, since he never did anything anyway...
  13. Yeah, I saw that one, thanks. Just requires the load limit to be raised quite a bit. All attempts to be authentic aside, cluster bombs would be my weapon of choice as well It's interesting, I finally found a few pics of F-100's loaded out in Vietnam, and I didn't see a rack used on any of them. There were M117's, BLU1's, MK82's, and Snakeyes all loaded on the inner pylons, but they were always just a single bomb... Curious to see what Dave comes back with...
  14. Ahh... but WOE has carriers too. You just have to extract them and make a couple .ini edits! Unless that counts as one of the mods allowed. My answer to the "Big Question" assumed that I could use carriers in WOE.
  15. Nope. This game series doesn't offer much in the way of multiplayer.
  16. How Southern are yew?

33% Dixie. You are definitely a Yankee. Not surprised. I've lived in CA my hole life. Only southern state experience was going to Virginia for one weekend once for a Rugby tournament.
  17. 1) WOE 2) Tornado GR, F-14A, MF A-7E 3)3 seasons germany CE, Widesky 4) ANW 4 seasons
  18. The one advantage to having actall CAS missions is that you have finer control over the mission types for squadrons. If you use only static targets, F-105's and A-7's have the same chances of getting strikes up north or CAS. I actually found out that having the ground war did not affect the air-to-air missions the way I thought, so I removed the static CAS target version from the download, and reverted back to the real ground war. It seems like it will work pretty well. Glad you're enjoying it!
  19. It's in the stock weapons in WOE/WOV after the October 08 patches.
  20. Hey all, I'm creating "late" model F-4's for the later campaign in WOE. I read that F-4E's may have gotten the dispensers around '73 or '74. Is this accurate? Would the F's and M's have them as well? Around the same time? Thanks!
  21. OK, so the E's will get them around that time. What about the F and M? Would they have had them by 1979, or would they have come later?
  22. Interested and waiting to see if WoV and WoE get any sort of similar revamp.
  23. Cockpits...

I have one, but it looks a lot like a desk or a kitchen table with a laptop on it and a Saitek Aviator on one side. Not too impressive in pictures.
