  1. ANY F-15 CREW CHIEFS HERE?

Thats the kind of stuff I like to hear, but I do know that your engine change is alot harder than ours
  2. What is wrong with the USAF?

I know the Army is doing 12 to 15 months, on a tour, but how long are the Marines going? Do they have an average tour, or do the just do it like a TDY?
  3. ANY F-15 CREW CHIEFS HERE?

i am going to F-16's in July. They just opened 7 levels up for other fighters last year, and now I have orders. I am going to block 30 16s
  4. It would be nice to have an all carrier based game, kind of a naval version of WOE
  5. What is wrong with the USAF?

it would be 10 times better if they would close mountain home
  6. I was meaning as far as having a game where you could fly from several different carriers, kind of like on the single mission sort with carriers instead of runways. Unless you can mod the carriers for use during single mission I dont know if you can do that or not
  7. f-15 mid air breakup

Probably a little late, and Im not sure if anyone mentioned before, but keep in mind that over half of USAF 15E's have 220, not 229. And ill tell you right now from a maintenance standpoint, the 229 sucks. Pilots love them, we hate them. The Strike Eagle has the same wings as far as I know, I want to say that I put a C-Model wing on my jet a few years back after a pylon related incident. The Landing gear and Cockpit/Avionics are two of the biggest differences. CFT's can be removed in a matter of minutes as long as they have no gas. 2 bolts, 8 cannon plugs and 3 panels. 2 bolts. pretty scarey I cant speak as to how much the airframe is beefed up, that is more sheetmetal shop than crew chiefs, but excluding CFT hardpoints, all the other hardpoints are the same as light greys
  8. What is wrong with the USAF?

You guys seemed to miss the whole "From a crew Chief Standpoint" part of my comment. We only deploy as long as the jets can stay. And they can only stay a few months before they eat up phase and PDM hours. We dont have to deal with the 6 month to a year deployments like other people. I aint knockin your decision, thats your decision. But if you want to tear up what I said without paying attention to the whole thing, go right ahead.
  9. What is wrong with the USAF?

Ive only been in for 10 years, and it has changed alot. From a crew chief standpoint, I can definately tell you that it is mission first, not family. Nobody forced us to join. We all volunteered. On the other hand, it would be nice if there was more family consideration, but I think my wife has learned to deal with lots of 12's. On the third hand, I'm not doing 18 month long tours carrying M-16's and such. Bless the Army and Marine guys for doing that, but I would say ive got it pretty good. I just hope my jet puts the bombs on target to help those guys out.
  10. are there any active duty guys on here? I see alot of guard guys.....Im active duty, been F-15E Crew Chief for 9 years, and now i'm beeing forced to Lawn Darts
  11. I forgot about the skyray. The F-101, F-102, Phantom 1, Cutlass and Skyray should just about complete the USAF and USN bunch as far as operational fighter jets go anyway. The Marines are missing the AV-8B and the Skynight. I cant think of anything else.
  12. thanks guys I look forward to learning alots from yall
