Mig Alley Update Thread
hgbn replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Thanks Przemek... Still experimenting since the dented uneven surface bump mapping used on the fuselage is no use on the wings... Simply looks awful So I need to figure out another way to makes those surfaces look right. But I learn something new each time I discover some tricks. -

Mig Alley Update Thread

One of the reasons why this mod is taking so much time to create. Is my personal quest to get those natural metal finishes perfect. Experimenting with different techniques. Learning to think in 3D no longer 2D while skinning. Now its 3 different maps for the same surface. You have to fit together in a higher equation. So one map doesn't spoil the greater picture. I'm not a professional graphic artist so its a lot of trial and error. But I'm slowly getting in the right direction -

A-4Ks rotting away in NZ news from few years back
hgbn replied to MAKO69's topic in Military and General Aviation
Well history have shown countless of times. If you are not having at least a deterrent force of some sort you're going to be attacked. Its just a matter of time. So is the money saved worth the risk?? Especially in these times where no one is safe from terrorist attacks. they simply pick the easiest target available for maximum effect. it only takes one airliner to do the job. Yes you can shoot it down with a SAM. But you will need a close up confirmation to check if it isn't just mechanical trouble before doing so. -

EU is such a waste of good money Technocrats living in their own little world of bureaucracy and trying to regulate everything in the slightest detail. -
Swedish Campaign (The Scandinavian Front)
hgbn replied to JonathanRL's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
Knowing the Danish politicians thinking of that era ( whuzzes) . They would probably deploy defensive forces only. At least at the start. To avoid spreading the conflict. -
Happy Birthday Ant :drinks: :drinks: Hope you'll have a good one M8

Swedish Campaign (The Scandinavian Front)
hgbn replied to JonathanRL's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
Yes and no to RDAF. Yes if the scenario is only a Scandinavian issue. I'm quite sure if only Sweden was attacked. And not all of NATO. The Danes would come to aid their Swedish brothers. No if its an all out attack on western Europe. Since all Danish forces would then be committed elsewhere in NATO. -

I agree.. anywhere where water exist in liquid form. The chances increase to find life in some form.

I thinks it is pretty arrogant to rule out life in other parts of the universe. Think about the billions of galaxies containing billions of stars each. No way Jose. There is life somewhere else. The question must be how common in the Universe it is instead?

I think all banks have forgotten the golden rule of any investment.. DON'T INVEST MORE THAN YOU AFFORD TO LOSE.. They shouldn't be any different than any other company.. If you can't run your business properly it has to close.... Sorry can't help you should be the response from the government.
