Maybe a dumb question. But does the readme not say this patch is for Exp 2 users only?? I can imagine people getting in trouble applying this patch to a install without the exp pack

Okay you need to to locate the folder where you original installed the game. Probably in the program files folder. Then you copy the SF2E exe and paste it in the same folder. Now rename the exe file you copied to whatever you want and run it. Now you have a "mod" folder inside Username/saved games/ thirdwire/ whatever you named the exe where you drag and drop the content of the NF4+ Hope this will help you

Check that the file size you get is the same as stated when you download the file. Sometimes I have to download the same file several times to get the amount of data needed. If you get less, you get that error message.
