  1. Actually this is a very good question because the information you want for creating multiple installs is not in the knowledge base.... there is reference to it but when you scroll through the topics it is not there. It was covered in a thread long ago and Icant seem to find it. I want to have different installs at separate patch levels .... I think I remember something about renaming each exe and it's corresponding mod folder for each install? Could some one set me straight on this please?
  2. Now that is just freaking awesome!!!
  3. Im betting he is using terrains that have their own environment system ini. If he were to copy the environment system ini in his flight folder and rename it "Whateverterrain" environmentsystem- meaning the exact same name as the file in his terrain folder- and then replace the offending terrain environment system ini with it, I think his problems will be solved Remember to back up the terrain enviornment system ini before you replace it.... rename it .... just at a 2 to the beginning of its name and the game will automatically move the file up to the top of the folder so it will be easy to find it later if you need to change something.
  4. It took me a while to warm up to SF2 because most of the mods I could not live with out had to go through a conversion process in order to work with SF2. It took a lot of time but now that its done I could never go back. The graphics are much better and the massively improved the frame rates allow much more eye candy to be installed . Overall I am much happier with SF2.
  5. yes if you build custom missions, or you could invest in Yap2, many of their missions require you to taxi from the parking slots and some even start in the hangar.
  6. I lock the target and hit F8. I will often lock up the lead blip at extreme range and as it comes into firing range I order my wing man to attack it, then I give the order for the squadron to engage air.... at this point the enemy is going to have a massive spike on their RWR and the formation will usually break, also as you close on the enemy formation the better your radar will separate individual aircraft in the enemy formation.
  7. Return of the Commodore 64

The first computer I ever used my high school had these back in 82/83.
  8. HOLY CRAP I JUST FOUND STOLEN PROPERTY

Nice job Bro!!! glad to see that there still are still people who care enough to do the right thing.
  9. That is looking like you have updated the F-4N Gunny, I see AN/APS-126 antennas on the intakes, very nice job.
  10. The Feb 2010 patch is fine, I am running it with no problems. you should reinstall the game into local disk (C:)/Users/your name.
  11. 1-The F-4 had much more speed and much more power. 2- Give that phantom a slatted wing and things get much better for you. On the F-4 a gun is there as a weapon of opportunity, if the shot is there you take it, if its not you use your primary weapons. If you take away the f-4's primary weapons you have hobbled it and if you then you use it with only the cannon in anything other than a zoom and boom vertical fight against a MIG-19 you are asking for trouble Also remember that TK's migs are way over modeled when it comes to power and ability to fight in the vertical. The MiG- 19 is a tough customer... and must be respected but in real life and with skilled pilots it did not dominate the phantom in the way you describe.
  12. What patch level and operating system are you running? This sounds like the old pre 08 patch level bug on Vista,
  13. A huge thanks to you for all of your hard work on this terrain Pureblue. This map is fantastic and is going to be right up there with Starys Formosa, Israel and high res Germany as being my playground of choice I just spent some time sightseeing, flying around some of the vast expanse of this map, and it dawned on me that this map holds tremendous possibilities out side of pureblue's original scope. I personally like both the Turks and the Greeks, and as they are traditional allies of my country I don't really see myself getting into shooting either side down. However it is clear to me that this map may be used in many different scenarios, that are limited only by our imagination. As I said, this map is fantastic as is.... but imagine the pure scenic value of flying over this map if at some point in the future Starys Israel tiles were added to the Israel/ Lebanon/ Syria/ Jordan region and perhaps some of the desert storm tiles to the Egypt Libya area. All I can say is WOW!! Thanks Pureblue.
  14. The SU-27 is at Marc fighters... the there is a mod for the 35 somewhere... I don't think there is a 33 yet .And I'm betting everything your looking for is already put together in Nato fighters 4+ or the modern warfare Formosa campaign. If not all of the edits are covered in the knowledge base.
  15. Really Liking the improved graphics and frame rates Of SF2... It took me forever....and a ton of aggravation to get the mods could not live with out updated to work in the SF2 environment but in the end the move to SF2 was worth it .

  20. There is some truth to this and it is one of the very few legitimate complaints about M.F. Aircraft. Next time you fly this bird compare the canopy frame thickness tho the width of the multi function displays and you will begin to realize that this is a legitimate issue. That said we all need to remember that the cockpit read me stated that the model was incomplete and that many planned features were not yet implemented. We also need to remember how much we all pushed the MF design team to release the new F-14 because we could not wait to get our hands on it. Personally I do feel some eye strain when flying this bird in dark/ overcast conditions and think that the pov feels a little cramped in... to far forward. If we were able to zoom out and back much further like we can in many other pits the framing issue would not seem so bad. We should be able to zoom back to a point that it is possible to see all of the instrument panel thru peripheral vision with the HUD in the same view. My solution is to always fly with Trackir and to have the zoom out key mapped to my stick, within easy thumb reach. I also Fly this bird the way it was intended, as a true interceptor. Meaning that when I fly it I direct my AI team mates as an integrated BVR killing machine wiping out the majority of the enemy flight at distance , then closing in to mop up any stragglers who escaped the salvos of BVR shots. I also like use this as an AI bird in my scripted missions, defending a multiple carrier groups from waves of bombers/ Attack aircraft along side F-4S and F-18A Flights. Makes for some great eye Candy.
  21. Well at least now we know why he disabled the forum over at third wire. LOL And to think i just broke down and bought that P.O.S. expansion pack 2 thinking that it was finally up and running. I just threw my cash away....
  22. When arming an aircraft with two different makes of IR missiles, is it possible to set up the game so that the two missiles use separate IR growl sound files?
  23. Thanks for clearing that up, I had a feeling that was the case but it was worth a try.
  24. This is something that has bugged me since the start, and it is at the top of the list of things I would like to see updated. I fly mainly scripted missions in which several flights work together to achieve an outcome. As the sim steps into the late 70's and beyond, it really is desirable to implement realistic modern attack strategies. By the way Pfunk your Black Sea terrain is really a blast to fly...great job on that.
