  1. I think we may have taken a wrong turn... A-10 anti-shipping:
  2. A very "What If" Royal Air Force: A very "What If" Royal Air Force:
  3. Have you tried YouTube? I'm sure I've seen it on there before.
  4. The only campaign I've ever played with a limited weapon list is Operation Desert Storm; It might be worth looking at how the modders have set out the INIs for that. Do you have the LimitedSupplyList line of text in your Data INI? [CampaignData] StartDate=1/17/1991 StartTime=2:00 StartDateDeviation=0 EndDate=03/01/1991 RunCampaignBeforePlayerStart=FALSE ForceWithInitiative=1 NavalCampaign=TRUE SurpriseAttack=FALSE MaxMissions=100 NormalMissionRate=3 NormalMissionRateDeviation=1 OffensiveMissionRate=1 OffensiveMissionRateDeviation=1 LimitedSupplyList=TRUE StartScreen=DS.jpg StartText= CampaignBaseScreen= CampaignEndWinScreen=DS_WIN.jpg CampaignEndLoseScreen=DS_LOSE.jpg CampaignEndStallScreen=DS_WIN.jpg CampaignEndKIAScreen=DS_LOSE.jpg CampaignEndWinText=DS_WIN.txt CampaignEndLoseText=DS_LOSE.txt CampaignEndStallText=DS_WIN.txt CampaignEndKIAText=DS_LOSE.txt It might also be worth checking the weapon resupply times (again copied from ODS): [Force001] Alignment=FRIENDLY Nation=USAF BaseArea=KKMC AB // BaseArea=Coalition Regional HQ AirOffensive[001].Primary=WEAPON_FACTORY AirOffensive[001].Secondary=COMM_BUILDING,COMMAND_BUILDING AirOffensive[002].Primary=CHEMICAL_WEAPONS_PLANT AirOffensive[002].Secondary=COMM_BUILDING,SAM_RADAR,EW_RADAR,SAM_LAUNCHER AirOffensive[003].Primary=NUCLEAR_POWER_PLANT,POWER_PLANT AirOffensive[003].Secondary=FUEL_STORAGE,CHEMICAL_WEAPONS_PLANT AirOffensive[004].Primary=AIRCRAFT_FACTORY AirOffensive[004].Secondary=NUCLEAR_POWER_PLANT,WAREHOUSE AirOffensive[005].Primary=NUCLEAR_POWER_PLANT,POWER_PLANT AirOffensive[005].Secondary=AIRCRAFT_FACTORY,CHEMICAL_WEAPONS_PLANT AirOffensive[006].Primary=WEAPON_FACTORY,COMM_BUILDING,COMMAND_BUILDING AirOffensive[006].Secondary=CHEMICAL_WEAPONS_PLANT,NAVAL_BASE AirOffensive[007].Primary=CHEMICAL_WEAPONS_PLANT,NAVAL_BASE,AMMO_STORAGE AirOffensive[007].Secondary=COMMAND_BUILDING,COMM_BUILDING AirOffensive[008].Primary=LARGE_RUNWAY,MEDIUM_RUNWAY,SMALL_RUNWAY,HANGAR AirOffensive[008].Secondary=COMM_BUILDING,COMMAND_BUILDING,AMMO_STORAGE AirOffensive[009].Primary=NAVAL_BASE,ARMY_BASE,COMMAND_BUILDING AirOffensive[009].Secondary=AMMO_STORAGE,FUEL_STORAGE,HANGAR AirOffensive[010].Primary=ARMY_BASE,AMMO_STORAGE,FUEL_STORAGE,HANGAR AirOffensive[010].Secondary=AIRCRAFT_FACTORY,WAREHOUSE GroundOffensiveAllowed=TRUE StartGroundOffensive=0 StartOffensiveDate=02/24/1991 StartInterdiction=5 Morale=100 Supply=90 NormalSupplyRate=80 OffensiveSupplyRate=5 DefensiveSupplyRate=5 SupplyForOffensive=50 AircraftReplacementTime=5 AircraftReplacement=80 GroundUnitReplacementTime=15 GroundUnitReplacement=100 RandomTransportType=ANY WeaponResupplyTime=80 StartAirDefenseLevel=3 RulesOfEngagement=FALSE AllowRandomAceCreation=FALSE LimitTargetToActiveRunway=FALSE MaxSecondaryStrikes=4 The aircraft supply list itself looks OK.
  5. I've found that No 4 sometimes engages but it's somewhat hit & miss; it certainly doesn't happen all that often. I find that they've got to be a higher skill then No 3, No 3 has to get shot down or when you end up in a very chaotic knife-fight No 4 might release IRMs for self preservation or some kind of combination of all three.
  6. There's possibly a few reasons why this could occur; I get it a lot in more modern campaigns where flights are armed with LGBs/EOGBs which the AI no longer fires - their flights instead tend to continue across the map until they hit the edge or until they get shot down. Most CA packs compensate for this with providing dumb versions of the weapons but it's worth checking the Loadout files. Without knowing what aircraft & weaponry it'll be difficult to narrow down.
  7. I should have been a Harrier pilot instead! (Apparently the game engine decided to swap my Nimitz class aircraft carrier for something a bit smaller... )
  8. On a recent sortie I brought a Hawg back with no landing gear left intact so this was certainly an improvement!
  9. The actual size of the screen won't push your hardware any differently than a smaller screen would as long as the resolution is no difference. Sony TVs tend to have low input lag which makes them very good for gaming compared to several other brands - but this is model dependant. Picture quality on Sony Bravia models are generally excellent so there's certainly far worse TVs you could use. http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/input-lag
  10. I don't think Greenpeace are going to be happy with us!
  11. Royal Air Force Javelin FGR.2s attacking an Iraqi aifield in Op Granby, 1991
  12. On your F-14D strikes, were all the aircraft that engaged with EOGBs/LGBs part of your flight or total AI generated units? I find AI jets in the player's flight tend to employ most weapon systems but other AI flights don't drop LGBs or EOGBs at all. They just continue over their targets & unless they're disturbed by AA,SAMs or fighters they continue on till the edge of the map. Not great during escort missions! Dumb bombs are fine & they'll engage enemy defences with HARMs/ALARMs with no issues and most of the time EOGRs/LGRs work well enough during CAS missions - except when the AI has trouble lining up their shots.
  13. When you've got the whole sky to fly in yet happen to bump into a MiG-29... Where's the fun in punching out when you can still fly her though?
  14. The battle of Fassberg 1991: Soviet T-72s, T-64s & BMPs supported by air units attempt to overrun Fassberg airbase only to be met by M1A1s & Leopard 2s, 2 flights of A-10s & a host of NATO fighter aircraft.
  15. I actually did have a play around with that this evening. The Seagle can just get away with carrying 6 AIM-54s & 4 AIM-120As without clipping but there's not much room to spare!
  16. Flight Sims, Circa 1990

I'm probably a bit younger than some of the crowd on here. My first combat sim was A-10 Cuba; I totally loved it back in the day. I remember getting it & Ace Combat 3 about the same kind of time and, despite the latter being a far more expensive game, I much preferred the former.
  17. You could always cheat & go for this configuration instead: I tried (briefly) messing around with the SF2 F-15SE just to see how many AHMs I could fit on it before I experienced clipping; The layout which features the AMRAAMs on the CFTs conflicted with the undercarriage so for the sake of realism I removed them. I'm sure more competent individuals, such as yourself, will find a way to deal with that though!
  18. Bomb gone! This chap is about to have a very bad day... Fox Two! And Fox Three! Lightnings over Lossiemouth: Helping out a friend in need:
  19. Various Soviet airfields got re-decorated at the hands of the RAF: Bomb Truck: Jack of all Trades: Double Teaming: These Flankers got caught out by a Storm: Taxing back after a successful sortie: Air Intercept over Iceland:
  20. Evening Gents, I'm having the following issue with the BRU-61 SDB Rack - the weapons seem to be inside the rack rather than on it. How do I fix the problem? Thanks in advance.
  21. When you really need a column of tanks stopping who do you call? Pimped Up F-15 Golden Eagles with the possible future 16 missile upgrade program:
  22. Typhoon takes Foxbat (it might not be fair but it's effective!)
  23. Yeah it got pretty crazy! The mission was to intercept 16 Tu-16s with cruise missiles over the Gulf of Paran with 6 SeaStorms. None of the Badgers got their missiles away but only two SeaStorms survived (I wasn't one of them - I took a 23mm hit which set fire to the engine).
