  1. Russian Fighter ops in Syria

    Well ISIS does not have any AF so anything in the air can be considered friendly, only have to watch to not to bump each other's benders. I do not think that there will be any rivalry to bust the same skunk hole among them. Beside that its a good opportunity for both sides to observe each others radio and other signal transmissions so all in all both sides wins. They get intelligence and bust a common "enemy" like back in the great wars.

  3. the moving_map mesh needs to have a scaled mapping. The radar usually mapped for the exact size of the mesh, that is why you see the entire map on it. depend on a persons taste resolution ratio of 1:16 to 1:64 (or even 1:96 or 1:128 for large maps) which give good view of the map. In simple terms if a mapdisplay mesh is 0,1m*0,1m size then the mapping scale in max should be between 0,4*0,4m to 0,8*0,8m, but as I said, depend on the creator's taste.
  4. When you set up a mission, what was your setting on "Enemy air defenses" - random, light, normal or heavy? Also is it stock or mod install? SF2, SF2V, SF2E, SF2I etc? or full merged? and on what terrain? Do you only fly blue or get the same while flying red? Try one mission with "EAD" set to heavy, do yo have the same result? Personally I never run into such issue.

  7. The AC_data file always use KG, the cockpit.ini and the gauges can use other units. The parameters you have refer a dial more like these: The degree parameters only ' - ' (negative) if your 0 position is not at top of the dial and starts on the left. Rotation_X, _Y, _Z - always established by the mesh, naturally in relation to AC world, but for the actual rotation the game will use the Local pivot direction of the given mesh. As you can see on the picture the meshes are rarely parallel or perpendicular to the actual world axis. And also it can be modified by the creator of the pit. This means occasionally you run into meshes (or its axis) that were rotated compared to the "logical" one. With such pits you always have to keep the original axis statements that are in the Cockpit.ini, but can change any other parameters (position,value,unit), otherwise will act funky ;o) Hope it helps.   8. Something similar was considered as optional if we can get around it, Gunrunner. In our terminology meant to be a C, but naming has little significance. Except one variant, all birds have the "standard" 11 pylon station layout.

    I was at the receiving end of such back in 93, my luck was not the helmet, as were none those days, but the fact that my pedal was higher on the side I got the hit from than the bumper of the car. I flew across the hood and the bike went partially under. That guy got two (my friend and me) in a single hit even that we had high visibility cloths and cycles and were behind each other not next (I was trailing him). Was not a joyful experience for my dad who took the bikes home from the site (only 2km from our house). They were only told basic information by the ambulance guys so were in the big fog for till the things cleared down in the hospital. I walked away with few clips and a hole on the side of my right knee, my friend was unconscious for good 15 min and got few places where the skin was scraped of from the slide on the tarmac with a sizeable bump on the back of his head. The truth is both side "drivers" and "cyclists" have good and bad fellas among them so you can not condemn only one or generalize from one(or two) guy that all of them are such.
  10. Well could be a far fetched idea.... Make a copy of the dome (can even rename the folder itself to SPS124 or such) and put it in the weapons folder. Create the data.ini for it as any of the jammer or targeting pods and set a SpecificStationCode= value - could be sps124 (make sure the ini and data.ini name matches the folder name). In the aircraft data.ini add a new weapon station numbering it in sequence after the currently existing last station. Here also set the same SpecificStationCode= as you have for the dome. Set it with StationGroupID=7 - this way will be always loaded and controlled by the "loadout.ini" and adjust the AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 value so matches your needs, most likely would look this 0.0,180.0,0.0. In your loadout.ini add the new weapon station and load it with the dome - or the name you applied.

    The sad truth of this is that migration volume and people does not have the financial background to tackle a journey of such size Their trip costs from 1000-15000 euro and based on Austrian and Hungarian interrogations most of them receives the money from USA based companies/organizations. So the current power holders use the face of the USA to finance one of the biggest migration in this century, in order to destabilize EU political system that is not willing currently to bow down on all fronts to the system (like trans atlantic treaty) - even when they are already infested with the minions of them. Globalization never worked on any level and will not with the current only financial viewpoint they pursue as destroys most local way of life and systems that are essential to the people of those lands. It can be understand when people want to leave the hot zones for safety and piece, but there is a difference between that immigration and the one Europe faces currently. The refugees only become the problem, but not the source of the problem. The source are those who still try to restore the world the way it was decades ago. They do not realize that their urge for more control and money will bring their demise and that the population due to the ever growing strains starts to think differently more and more. By the way the refugees mostly use the routes and delivery system of Al-Quaida and ISIS in Africa and east-Asia, so most of the money actually supports those groups that should be fight against on the surface. And you wounder how those still exist or why so hard to put an end to them. The powers will never tell their solders and their families that they gonna fight the enemy also financed by them or their allies. That way no one would be willing to go and throw their life away believing "fighting the good fight". As above was already mentioned none of the current systems fits each country, but they want to force it anyway. Aside the Greece contract clauses many of the central EU countries that joined the EU had also things (must open up the land and water resources for sale for foreigners, etc) that are not part of any of the founding nation's requirements, but was put for others as a must in order to be accepted. The current system regardless if we looking at it on financial, religious or political levels based on ideology where the wicked/strong/ people without integrity stomps over the good/honest/weak. Until that changes no third way will be allowed or disseminated for the populace as they will wake up and turn their back to the current rulers regardless how you name them. There is a third way, where people cooperate on their own level, without abusing or taking advantage of the other or their helpers. This system has worked for centuries in certain but small number of places, and was always in the crosshairs of those whom only could live from others. To a degree it is native to everyone but the media and propaganda of today world and the way you were raised keeps the mind occupied and force you to think the way they want so you try more to compete rather than cooperate.

    All conscious beings needs evolution otherwise they stagnate and deteriorate. The application of a weapon of such scale is a step in that evolution. What follows is the result of that step. Either learn to control and work out ways to cooperate with one an other or just wipe out the entire civilization as a whole and give a chance to the planet to start anew with hopefully a better result. The truth is no conventional nor nuclear weapons are morally correct. No one has a right to apply them with any reason, no one has a right to an other piece of land more than those who already live there regardless what resources or opportunities that land provides. If mankind would have learnt to live in piece with each other regardless of skin color, language, religious orientation/belief, possession of a piece of land or ideology no one would pursue the false hope of the safety of nuclear arsenal possession and no one would have need them anyway. If people had learned then only a hunting rifle or a bow would be the most someone needs to get fed properly or save themselves from larger predators like lions, bears and such, everything else would be a waste of resources that could be used for more noble goals. Lucky as we are there was only that 2 occasion to use it in anger ; aside the several hundred aerial and underground "tests" - which have plenty of side effects for the planet and populace. If it was to the Germans to use it first, the end result more likely would have been a bit different and with a lot more serious aftermath. Wanting to own a weapon of such scale or the environment that dictates you need one to take you seriously is still a sad state on the evolutionary steps. There is still a long way to go for those who yearn such a toy, those should all step back and do a self evaluation on what at all they do on the face of Earth.... Using any scientific evolvement for military purpose (even if you are cornered into such constraint) as a First step is a faulty thinking, regardless how much you want to say "the weapon race made all this possible what we have today". That statement is with a big chance - false. Since we (our elders) went this road we do not know how far we would have gotten throughout cooperation and mutual respect and share of resources. Honor the fact that we only had to use 2 times as the OP intended (with the notion kept of what was lost or gained regardless of sides during the war, because we DID lost and gained at the same time) and hope that we can have better sense and learn from that fact 70 years later what others previously failed to conclude or learn up to this time. It will be our children and grand children whom benefits from it, of course if we do learn something otherwise it will be their task to solve and work out. Wouldn't you want them to have a better life then you had, without all the fuss, nerve-racking, etc?
  13. Nice and great work ;o) and I know its in very early status, just a little correction if you not mind. Lake Balaton is a bit higher. I know I live 80km south of it. the area is more in line with Banja Luka / Prijedor region in Bosnia.
  14. Looks great. Check for any mesh that is over 5k poly, cut them up for 2 or 3 sections depend on your number of vertices. Most of the time it is the fuselage, but anything else can be where you used high detail mesh. the game counts in triangles even if the mesh is made with square polygons. You should be able to see it in the out file. Other than that check for min-max extents and collision boxes.

    Excellent find. If you haven't yet, check out the stick and throttle work the guy is doing in the front seat to keep the position and given formations. Have some telling... Would be nice to see similar for each 3-4-4+ gen planes as I guess 5th gen is out of the chance as of now.
  16. When the Viggen first come out in 2009 or so this same issue come up - as it has a tandem main gear set. If I good remember then it was not possible to have it follow the ground, but since that might have changed. Like you said, have to experiment.

Check if the tank's lod name call out matches the lod's name in your "Viggen_tank.ini" you have in the "Viggen_tank" folder [LOD001] Filename=gripen_tank.LOD <-------- should read Viggen_tank.LOD Distance=1200 In the Viggen_Tank_data.INI ModelName=Viggen_tank Main thing, both should match the lod's name.
  20. If you make a mesh for it and not only a tga. then with similar settings you can get it change its speed. Note there is a single mesh, no separate mesh for static or higher rpm object. With the highest rpm you will have to experiment as after a while the mesh will disappear.   22. OK, will do. Only LSK and PWL used it in inside WarsawPack nations and some sources say Syria had a couple of them too. Unfortunately they not give start/end dates, only that was used by the PF/PFM until the MF and Bis versions come around. I would guesstimate the usage period to be between 64/65-78/82 or so, but was certainly less frequently used from the period of 74.

You can use the LodViewer to locate the proper node name and similarly like hiding components in an airplane or cockpit you should be able to hide the items by adding them to the carrier's data.ini.
