  1. Bell-Saab J36D 'Orkan' - F21, Flygvapnet, 1980 (Saab don't leave many 'spare' designations so I've had to airbrush out of history their ambitious Projekt 1300 supersonic bomber which would have used the '36' designation - thankfully we're in 'what if' land so no harm is done.)
  2. You missed an obvious caption there Kev.... Snakes on a plane! Gentlemen of a certain vintage will remember that the painting of that very same snake motif on a Stuka was used to advertise 'Humbrol Authentics' in modelling magazines in the mid 1970's. I think it went something like, "Skill, patience and Humbrol Authentics". Sadly, I only had the latter. Required Screenshot Hurri home Stanislav

  8. Supermarine Spitfire LF.IXc - 2-VLG-V, The Military Aviation of the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army, 1943 (Just wanted to use these markings after seeing the Buffalo and the Curtis-Wright CW-21B Demon in NEI markings)
  9. Wright Aeronautical F4W-1 Hurricane - VF-3, USS Lexington, US Navy, 1942
  10. Raven has very kindly given the F4W-1 some authentic US style antennae wires. I'll update the upload.

  12. File Name: [Fictional] Wright F4W-1 'Hurricane' File Submitter: Spinners File Submitted: 11 August 2013 File Category: What If Hangar Wright Aeronautical F4W-1 'Hurricane' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is the Hawker Hurricane as it might of appeared as the licence-built Wright F4W-1 in USN service (if that service could have overcome their fear of inline engines). This mod uses the superb Sea Hurricane 1C 3D model by Raven who has also generously uploaded templates to enable me to create this fictional mod and to also allow others to put whatever scheme and markings they prefer on this lovely and often overshadowed British fighter aircraft. INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the F4W-1 folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the F4W-1 folder into your main Decals folder. CREDITS Thanks to Third Wire for the continuous improvement of a great little game/sim. Massive thanks to Raven for creating the Hurricane series and templates. And thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community. Regards Spinners Version 2 - 12/08/13 Click here to download this file
