  1. Not too sure about that Dave. I'm on fibre-optic and downloads from other sites are fast enough. Downloads here seem to hang up, mainly early in the download, sometimes requiring up ten attempts and AFAIK Windows isn't doing anything it shouldn't.
  2. Stand alone. It spreads out the enjoyment! On a more practical note, download speeds are poor on the site at the moment (AFAIK I do not have a download manager or accelerator to switch off) and I've had to give up on downloading some of the bigger packs and/or mods.

  5. A very interesting thread this! I followed Wrench's fake pilot recipe but using the 'towel rail' and the two other bits from the F-4D_OWL and it works. I love learning these little building blocks of skill!
  6. Is that some kind of cross between the Balkans and the Falklands??
  7. I bought SF2 the day it came out and have never regretted it. I don't actually know why but it does run better on W7 though.
  8. Supermarine Scimitar FG.2 - No.32 Squadron, RAF Fighter Command, 1966
  9. Er, obviously. But I am, of course, on about self-made decals like my RAF 'Thinstrip' decals or those that daddyairplanes is making.
  10. A simple tip for checked or patterned fintip (or finstripe) markings is to use the Reverse=TRUE statement on one side of the fin/rudder.

  13. Thanks EricJ. It's a WIP made all the more easier by your templates. Note to self - Give your aircrew ejection seats. lol
  14. LOL this takes me back. One of the best features about SF2 is not having to use the weapons editor.
  15. "Er, perhaps you'd like to pull-up now" McDonnell Douglas Hornet GR.4 - No.31 'Goldstar' Squadron, RAF Middle East Command, 2009
  16. A huge thank you for this outstanding body of work.
  17. a moment

LOL. They did give the C5 site a certain earthy charm.
  18. Everything works in SF2*. There's nothing in the SF1 section that's out of bounds! *This statement may not be actually true but it's a good principle to work to.
  19. http://combatace.com/files/file/8548-british-isles-terrain-beta-04/ It's listed as a beta but I seemed to get on OK with it although it's not in my current install... yet.
  20. Thanks mate. There is a British Isles terrain by Baltika in the SF1 downloads somewhere. What I like about it is that there is snow on the higher ground where you'd expect it (Brecon Beacons, Snowdonia, Lake District) and it covers the Emerald Isle.
