  1. It didn't get a name but it would definitely have been given a name if it had entered service. On British forums the name 'Eagle' is the most often touted name for it but that cannot be officially verified.
  2. For folks in the UK I can recommend the PC World £40 portable hard drive jobbie. It's about the size of a pocket calculator and stores 320GB. I bought mine this morning and it took me about 15 mins to back up my essential SF2 stuff.
  3. McDonnell Douglas F-4EN Phantom - No.323 Squadron, Koninklijke Luchtmacht
  4. Version 4 now up. Another 60 decals added (512 in total) including the spiffingly colourful Royal Auxilliary Air Force squadron markings.
  5. I think the Hunter 3D model was revised last year with added droptanks (similar to the F-4's so brilliant for matching your drop tank skin with your aircraft skin) so perhaps your Hunter is an older mod that is now using the newer 3D model (LOD). I think that the black sun thing is a mod. I had that and removed the mod, but can't remember which one it was.
  6. Or hide behind Piecemeal's livestock!
  7. Suggestion regarding max mission radius [MissionData] NormalMissionRadius=1850 MaxMissionRadius=6860 <<<<< This figure needs to be trimmed right back to at least half as 6860 is the theoretical ferry range with four drop tanks and a weapons bay tank!
  8. Any patches

To be fair, some of the 3D models and skin textures are so much better in SF2. If you don't believe me check out the skins on the WOE F-4M and the SF2:E F-4M.
  9. Yes. It's quite a simple ini edit (adding a component and then removing). I'm not on my 'play' computer at the moment but the F-100A download gives a good example of the method.
  10. That'll do me! Sorry to hear that you've been unwell ravenclaw_007 and I hope that you are now in good health.
  11. BAC Lightning F.Mk56N - 322 Squadron, Koninklijke Luchtmacht
  12. I hope it's sorted soon but in the meantime I've gone back to Dec 2009 (Combo). Retro-tastic!
  13. Yes, which neatly explains why I sometimes see it and why sometimes I don't.
  14. I don't see why not, the difference between SF1 series and SF2 series isn't some sort of brick wall and nothing can pass between the two. The knowledge base is your friend!
  15. On that 'Tiger' F-4J(UK) the distinctive small 'triangular' window on the frame between the cockpits is way too small compared to a real F-4. Is there a fix for that?
  16. Great work guys! Can I suggest revising the cockpit.ini to start as follows; [CockpitSeat001] ModelName=CockJagGR Position=0.000,11.600,0.820 This simply puts it where the pilot is and prevents looking into the intakes.
  17. I've enjoyed reading about 322Sqd (Wings of Fame, Volume 15) and the kidnapping of Polly Grey by a rival squadron!
  18. View File [Fictional] McDonnell Douglas F-15A 'Italiano' McDonnell Douglas F-15A_AMI for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is a simple mod of the stock F-15A to give a fictional F-15A in service with the Aeronautica Militare Italiano during the 1980 - 2010 timeline and includes markings for 18° Gruppo, 37° Stormo. You'll need to have SF2E for the F-15A LOD's (not included) but SF2I owners will have the option of using the F-15A_Baz with minor editing. INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the F-15A_AMI folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the F-15A_AMI folder into your Decals folder. That's it! CREDITS As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim. And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community. Regards Spinners Version 2 - February 8th, 2024. 19. No problem mate, I hope it's OK. Perhaps you can use the decals on your AMI Su-27.
