  1. Aye, but I still think it should be one post per day. Florian's lovely Tornado IDS with some RAF markings on the cracking 'Lizard' camo that comes with it.
  2. What have you added (apart from the Hornet)???
  3. Sweet! I created an 'AI' Iraqi MiG-19 for SF2 using this skin and it showed up on my first mission in my newly patched SF2. Thankfully my Corsairs were unscathed.
  4. I like that! Having Pilots and Seats in the Aircraft folder always seemed very untidy to me.
  5. Looks like fresh downloads are already patched.
  6. I think that's 'decal bleed' where the actual decal is too close to the edge of the decal sheet - in other words, leave a bit more of a gap around the decal. For a roundel a 180px circle needs to be on an absolute minimum square of 200px x 200px.
  7. List of changes in this Update include: Feb 2009 -------- * Mach indicator on F-4 cockpits not moving past M1.1 is fixed. * Joystick settings is less likely to be lost even if the joystick is unplugged. * Screenshots are now saved in .JPG format. * F-4C (67) cockpit air threat indicator always being ON is fixed. * A-4B and C altimeter not working is fixed. * Some of the new 3d models for weapons not showing up is fixed. * Missing Sidewinder rails textures on A-4 is fixed. * One of the F-4D/E (75)'s decoy dispensers not working is fixed. * Create New Pilot pop-up dialog now displays correctly. * F-4E (72) and (75)'s service entry dates have been corrected. * "Desert Fury" campaign having wrong start dates for USN and USMC squadrons have been fixed. * Font sizes have been adjusted to fit better on different resolutions. * Some of the campaign CTD have been fixed. * Aircraft prices when playing Mercenary campaign have been adjusted to better account for small differences in their ECM capabilities. * Starting weapons supply has been increased for Mercenary campaigns. * The game no longer searchs for decals outside Decals folder, all decals must now be placed under Objects\Decals folder. * A-4 and F-100 drop tanks have been added to the external models so they use individual texture set. Spinners says "Sweet!"
  8. Wrench's 1) seems the most likely. Another suggestion is that the bmp hasn't been properly condensed down from the psd file and still contains an alpha channel. EDIT Although, I think, in GIMP this might make it black.
  9. Has anyone done another install? And how do you do it?
  10. I don't understand. I've got SF2 on my Vista PC and it's not in my 'My Documents' folder.
  11. Nice work Nicky - Are they still based down there?
  12. Very nice! Thanks erikgen and thanks to everyone at 'Team Voodoo'
  13. Voodoo FR.3 of No.13 squadron, RAF Middle East Command.
  14. File Name: RAF Hunter F.4 for Strike Fighters 2 File Submitter: Spinners File Submitted: 22 Feb 2009 File Updated: 16 May 2010 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Aircraft This is a simple mod of the excellent Third Wire Hunter to give a flyable F.4 with markings for No.14, No.54, and No.247 squadrons of RAF Middle East Command based in Dhimar during the late 1950's. Whilst all three squadrons did actually operate the Hunter F.4 the markings are slightly 'generic' and the serial numbers are actually from a batch of cancelled Venoms from that era. Regards Spinners Click here to download this file
  15. Phantom FR.3's of No.13 squadron (somewhere over Paran )
  16. I didn't even know it existed and enjoyed reading what I found at the Baugher site.
  17. The readme is by phamtuan - I can't see the problem here
  18. A good point that and, indeed, that's what I used to do - but I can't now that I've 'upgraded' to Vista!
  19. I've used them both and much prefer The Gimp but even MS Paint will convert a screenshot to a JPEG.
  20. Splash one Bandit! Hunter F.4 of No.14 squadron, RAF Middle East Command.

  22. View File Westland Whirlwind - Desert Camo No.6 Squadron This is a fictional Desert Camo scheme for the Westland Whirlwind recently released by Veltro2K with markings for the famous No.6 squadron ('The Flying Can-Openers') of the Royal Air Force. For SFP1/SFG/WOV/WOE/WOI just drop the folder called '6d' into your Whirlwind folder and go and open some cans! For SF2 users things are a bit more tricky but you probably know your way around the different file structure by now. BTW the Whirlwind flies really nicely in SF2 but make sure you've got your throttle to zero before you start! Anyway, many thanks to Veltro2K for this little gem and also to Syrinx for the template and for the serial number decals - to which I've added another two to make a baker's dozen plus I've knocked up some reasonably authentic squadron codes. 23. The US Navy pilot (link below) makes a reasonable Desert Pilot... if you keep the cockpit closed! http://www.geos-aircraft.com/SFPilots.htm
