  1. I downloaded this last night but I haven't had a chance to fly it until now. What can I say? (US) It's a Cadillac. (UK) It's the dog's b*ll*cks. (F) Chapeau!
  2. View File Thunderstreak FGA.1 - RAF Middle East Command Republic Aviation Thunderstreak FGA.1 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 1 This is a 'what if' Thunderstreak FGA.1 with markings for No.20 squadron in a Desert Camo by whiteknight06604. Regarding the Thunderstreak in RAF service then there is no backstory but perhaps the UK needed some muscle when the Supermarine Swift started going pear-shaped! INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the THUNDERSTREAKFGA1 folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the THUNDERSTREAKFGA1 folder into your main Decals folder. Please note that I've simplified things by using the stock F-105 tanks. CREDITS Special thanks to the guys listed below - great work and especially the flight model! Thanks to whiteknight06604 for the Desert Camo. Thanks to Third Wire for the continuous improvement of a great little game/sim. And thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community. 6. Subscription Plans NOW Available

Spinners has spun in  (there goes the neighbourhood ) £3 per month. A weekly magazine for another hobby costs me that. Keep up the good work!
  7. I'm a ham-fisted modder but I'd like to join. Thanks.
  8. Spanish Armada Corsair A-7B. '309' of the Spanish Armada carrying Shrikes and Walleyes. The default typeface on GIMP is a pretty good match to create an 'ARMADA' decal
  9. That Scooter is da bomb. It's so sick. (Disturbingly, Spinners is getting down with the kids)
  10. That's cured it! Thanks christian59 (or can I call you christian? )
  11. Thanks Silverbolt. As a teenager my hobby was building model aircraft and I could never just build them 'straight' - almost all of them became 'what ifs' . This series of games/sims and, of course, the wonderful 'Strike Fighters' community just makes it so easy to let your imagination run riot!
  12. Curiously, mine works in SFG and WOE but not in WOV (CTD) - why would that be? With the FM I haven't actually noticed a problem and wonder what is so wrong with it.
  13. Favorite song

Good Vibrations ... at the moment!
  14. Keep up the good work! My favourite is the twin-enginned MiG (I'm not sure what model number that is).
  15. Good work! Tip! Change pilot to PILOTN1 (those chequered bone domes are so passe).
  16. I went for the E8400 on the new PC that I picked up from the local PC store late last week and had a blast with it over the weekend. Recommended!
  17. I've knocked up a simple single colour skin for the F-104G by using the psd templates available at McFly's dormant site (some good stuff there BTW). However, I'm baffled at how do I create skins for the 170 gallon tip tanks and then get the game/sim to recognise them. The weapons folder only shows the ini and lod's and no bitmaps. I used the extraction tool to have a look for any associated bitmaps that I could overspray or copy and rename but there appears to be nothing there. I created two simple 512x512 bitmaps of the required colour and named them TANK170L_F104G.bmp and TANK170R_F104G.bmp but to no avail and I can't see how I 'point' to these anyway! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Ace Pilot is blinded by the glare coming off his wing tip tanks and fails to notice the SAM-2 coming his way...
  18. Yeah, I've had a little look at that. My brain hurts! I'm pleased with what I've learnt today and will tackle the shiny Starfighter tanks at another time.
  19. Do you have a CD version or did you get it as a download from the Third Wire site? Or is it a pirate copy from the internet? (A pet hate of mine).
  20. I've done a few tanks now (TMF Nigerian Jaguar and RAF Phantom M) but the Starfighter is still causing me some grief because, for some reason, my tanks are coming out anodised! Is this something to do with the shininess of the LOD itself?
