  1. OT My Favourite War Film

In no particular order: A Bridge Too Far Passchendaele Battle of Britain Piece of Cake (not a movie, but wot the L) Joyeux Noel Angel's Wing A Very Long Engagement Dambusters What am I talking about. There aren't many I don't like, other than those featuring John Wayne, that yellow lily-livered draft dodger. Cheers, shredward

  8. It gets more focusing. Quite often you get two named dromes using the same field, but if you park your machine at the sheds on one side of the field, you are on this drome, and if you park at those sheds over there, then you are at that drome Cheers Shredward
  9. Hi Lima, I've long since deep sixed my P3 datafiles, so I would just be speculating. It may be that 70 is still listed as a bomber squadron until conversion to Camels is complete. Another possibility is that 70 is listed as a bomber unit in the master file, and is unable to convert. There may even be other things deeper in the code - I can't check, cause I am away from home. If you spot anything more, let us know. Ennyhoots, it won't be an issue in P4. Cheers, shredward

Older than that, and you'd have a Wright Flyer!
  11. Yeah, if it keeps up, I may start punting them to the pub. One in awhile is okay, but when it gets to the point where you can't see the painting for the graffiti... The Shredder
  12. Thank you Herr Olham, but I would be remiss if I did not point out the grey Wizard Winder as being the one responsible for the particularly excellent fireworks to entertain all the little Hobbitses on a fine summer's day Cheers Shredward
  13. When you wish upon a star...... Cheers Shredward

  15. Fateful Morn IV

Hi Dej, Beautiful and evocative work. I tried to find the letter for Inglis' machine, but came up empty. It isn't recorded in the Sturtivant bible, nor could I find it anywhere else. Inglis is associated with an earlier machine that carried the letter Y, but that is no guarantee that E1294 carried it. Cheers, shredward ps - I just noticed that you have Y on the upper wing. A prudent choice!
  16. P4 DEVELOPMENT SCREENSHOTS

I for one think you have shown us a great mix, and I wouldn't touch them. I think they are great. Cheers, shredward
  17. Landscapes of WW1

If you are there at the right time of year, the ghostly outlines of trench systems, gun pits and strong points are still visible in many places in the ploughed fields along the Front Cheers, Shredward

That could be what he was referring to. To my knowledge, the fabric all came from the same place, but as you pointed out, rib tapes varied. The other major variation, even within the same batch, was lozenge vs painted surfaces. DSA was the master there. Cheers, shredward
