Wings over Korea all-in-one pak?
Brain32 replied to Do335's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Ahh...I thought you didn't know it exists and were searching for a similar replacement ;) If it helps the new one I converted is per flight manual an F-86F cockpit, earlier versions are different in some respects... -
Wings over Korea all-in-one pak?

Why not using the ultra-HD original F-86F cockpit I spent hours converting from il2 Korea mod? :D -

Works fine at hard setting, didn't try to take off though but I can fix that myself, other than that in flight it has it's own temper and I like it, phenomenal acceleration, a bit touchy on controls, overall very reasonable and unique feeling while flying it... -

Pacific Fighters US aircraft performance.
Brain32 replied to Bladerunner's topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: General Discussion
The only F-4 Corsair that was capable close to 400kts but not over 400kts was the U-4 that saw little if at all service in the ww2. Earlier variants were in the 320-350kts range, however that was only at specific altitude...should be over 20000ft when 2nd supercharger gear kicks in. Also note those speeds are at specific conditions, radiator fully retracted, no external load AND, trim the plane because planes in il2 have to be in fully coordinated flight for full performance, no side-slip. As for the FW190 and Mustang and P-47 and the Tempest, they were absolutely deadly in il2 but require certain tactics, no tail chasing in circles, no stall fighting, speed and altitude, situational awareness and exfil plans...absolutely deadly...in PTO in late war scenarios it was no contest online, Blue side(IJA/IJN) had no chance whatsoever to win the map...a bloody massacre lol EDIT: Oh yeah I forgot, in earlier versions of the game, before daedalos team versions, AI cheated by never overheating... -
Quick graphics card question...

Quick graphics card question...
Brain32 replied to Sundowner's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Well buddy the vsync issue is here on my nvidia too, if by that you mean very erratic fps jumps, in my case it constantly dances 32-60 but I have 660GTX, as for other compatibility issues I really don't know. Nvidia 700 series is incredibly power efficient, cool and quiet but 750Ti in raw performance terms is a bit limited they are entirely different class, 6950 when it was new was top end, 750Ti barely notches over entry level, it's just that it's a lot newer than the 6950 so it can perform as good as the now 4-year old 6950. It all comes down to what you are aiming for in total terms 750Ti is an upgrade because it's cooler, quieter does not need a lot of power etc. but you will get little to none performance improvement and in some cases you may even end up with lower performance, especially if you don't play newer games much as you will not profit from new features in the 750Ti. If you can strech out for GTX760 that would be a budget sweet spot, or even wait a bit until vendors push out 960... -

It's a great card but I seriously doubt you will profit from it since you are already coming from ATI 6950, in terms of raw performance... -

Distance LOD`s
Brain32 replied to 76.IAP-Blackbird's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
It's a visual thing only so no effect on FM, as for the part structure AFAIK you have to respect it in the lower lods so if you have WingL in the mail lod it has to be there in every of the lower lods. I hope somebody will confirm this too as I remember that from long, long time ago... -
Nice camos that brown-sand looks great on a Fencer, and I'm glad we can now finally differentiate the good guys from the bad guys in that area of the world.

How to create/change MFDs that displays diferent pages?
Brain32 replied to ricnunes's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Well I think I might had not explained it good enough - there is no code for MFD's in the game, I made them in max and improvised using the existing analogue options...everything you see on the mods that have MFD's is made in 3dsmax and set up with A LOT of improvisation...so the final answer is there's nothing you can do as there is no such option. -
How to create/change MFDs that displays diferent pages?
Brain32 replied to ricnunes's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I made the pits for all new Hornets and like EricJ explained it covers only the basic(but more than enough for combat sim) functions that can be simulated in the game, the game itself is completely unsuitable for modern MDF representation, so MFD development was practically a project within a project, the thing is that all that, was made by using real flight manuals so pretty much everything important is covered in the existing MFD pages, standard F-18 cockpits have IIRC - Radar page, Nav page, DDI page, moving map Page and SMS page I didn't make a RWR page as one can use the existing auxiliary RWR screen which is not present in newer SuperHornet cockpits so they had to get a dedicated RWR page. What was not simulated in the game was possibility to switch and position those pages through the MFD's which would be neat but really not a "to die for" feature and we miss stuff like engine page, stall&spin pages, test pages and generally stuff that would perhaps be more useful in games like FSX because in a combat sim how many times would one watch the system boot up or stare into the engine info page to monitor oil pressure? Still if the game was more friendly to MFD's I'd do it. In the end I know this may seem like a shameless plug but those MFD pages in the Hornets are pushing the game engine limit to the maximum point, I'm sure that guys that made other pits with such options will tell you the same -
WIP Mega THREAD!

I doubt it's the cockpit, only one copy is loaded for the scene unlike other objects in the game that are always multiple... -

LOL Antares I don't know what version are you using but none of mine have any of the issues you mention...
