HUD color number

Dels, I did the following after your post: As you indicated deleted the HUD entry under Cockpitseat001 (.cockpit.ini) and the HUD entry with HUDglass. I re-did my green F-4E_HUDglass.tga and place in the following: 1. Place in the specific skin (using F-4E_2020 as test-bed) = no green HUD 2. Place in the cockpit folder (overwritten the original F-4E_HUDglas.tga) = no green HUD 3. Place in the aircraft folder = no green HUD I even went to objectdata3, deleted the stock HUD entry in the .cockpit.ini and did the same 3 step on the stock F-4E_78 = no green HUD Maybe it is just 'HUDglass'? I do appreciate the effort Dels... so far no luck. -

I already try that... no go on the green color. I did HUDglas / HUD_glass / F-4E_HUDGLASS / etc. NONE of them show up as Green color on the HUD glass? I even test each .tga by placing it on each of the following folders and test fly it separately: aircraft folder/ the cockpit folder/ the specific skin folder... NOTHING, always a clear HUD glass. Unless, I am doing something wrong... my efforts so far is zero. I know there is a way, I also know someone know how to do it; because I have seen it on other aircraft photos. I just cannot figure it out at this time? Thanks guys -

Keven, Thanks for the information. I have yet to use the hexeditor... so this should be interesting? In regards to the cockpit.lod... I do not think sundowner had one place in the aircraft? I think I can only try to 'test' using a stock plan and see what happens? What do you suggest? Thanks again -

Dels, NO GO? I think I might not understood your post Del? I am using the F-4E_2020 as my test: I went to the cockpit folder. The only thing I see is the 'nodename' HUDglass. I do not see any .tga that is (assigned) to the HUD glass? If anyone can further assist me that would be great. HELP! Thanks -

HUD color number
ace888 replied to ace888's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Kevin and FranKD.. Thanks for the detail information. I might have phrase my question incorrectly? The last 'number' is for brightness and transparency? So, I can make it to show GREEN in color on the HUD, not just the color for the HUD symbology, correct? I want to make the HUD appear in GREEN color... If the last number does that then great? If not, does this mean I need to find the .tga file and try to make the file green in color just like making canopy glass in different colors? Thanks again guys -

SF2 F-4ETM_Simsek "Lightning" v1.0 Thanks again for Sundowner for his templates and .LOD I have edited the .DATA.INI I re-did the .BMP 2 and 3 I added the following skins: 1st AJU 3rd AJU 7th AJU 172_Filo_Aggressor 28th March 2011 Cheers! Ace888 ================================================================================= "ORIGINAL README" SF2 F-4ETM_Simsek "Lightning" I want to thank "Sundowner" for his gracious assistance and the permission to use his F-4E_2020 .LOD Not the perfect version of the aircraft but I made this as my own 'Simsek' representation. Short history of F-4ETM_Simsek: "After the completion of the Terminator programme, the TuAF considered upgrading a follow-on batch of 48 more F-4Es Under the project 'Terminator II'. T2 project was to emphasize on the increased air-to-air capability, the project was to involve more local content rather than using Israely hardware. However, the estimated cost was as high as $670 million and contract negotiations were cancelled in 2005. After the cancellation, the Turkish Government decided to develope a national modernisation programme using the experience gained from the Terminator project. Under project 'Simsek' (Lightning) started in February 2006 the TuAF aims to keep more squadron of F-4Es airworthy until the arrival of the F-35. The 1st ASMC was the main contractor and subcontractor ASELSAN (Askeri Elektronik Sanayi - Military Electronics Industries) providing the avionics. Simsek includes a structural and avionics upgrade of 16 F-4E Phantom IIs. Structural modifications included in the work will extend the service life until 2014 - 2016, while the avionics enhancement included integration of CDU-900Z control display units, MXF-484 radios, the LN-100GT INS/GPS navigation system, a cockpit TV system, AVTR, and IFF Mode 4. The first two aircraft, designed as F-4ETM Simsek, were delivered to 112 Filo at Eskishir AB on March 3, 2010. All 16 upgraded aircraft are due to be delivered to 112 Filo, which was the first TuAF Phantom operator. The Simsek project is planned to be completed in early 2011. To be use in SF2 Merged Installed. Contain the following squadrons: 111_Filo_Panter 112_Filo_Bad Girl 112_Filo_Blue Simsek 112_Filo_Red Simsek 112_Filo_Turkish Female Warrior 132_Filo_Hancer 171_Filo_Korsan 172_Filo_Sahin Additional credits: TK/ThirdWire Ultramax (borrowed his cockpit folder and modified it for my own) Ace888 18th March 2011 -

Anyone, I am trying to modify the HUD on the F-4 project I am working on. I am giving it a modern HUD. I am not using the modern cockpit HUD on the F-4E_ AUP or the F-4EJ_Kai. I am using the F-16A or the Kfir attitude bars. So far I am having the hardest time trying to fit the attitude bars within the confine of the HUD glass. The following is the default numbers for the attitude bar. I have play with it and the end result is the attitude bar is still showing just above the HUD glass. To be more specific, the +10 degree pitch bar is floating just above the HUD glass for the Kfir ; as for the F-16A... the +10 degree pitch bar is even higher? Any help would be great. Kfir ImageSize=0.160 StepInterval=5 StepHeight=0.25 F-16A ImageSize=0.185 StepInterval=2.5 StepHeight=0.125 Thanks
