I had to take a break from them. Trying to get the decals to work on the cowl mesh was driving me nuts. I had to make a lot of number decals too. Lots of different colors and fonts. I will get back to work on them. I would like to finish them too. -

In the terrains' DATA.ini you can adjust the intensity of the Bump Map [HeightOffset] NonTexturedMesh=-0.5 TexturedMesh=-0.1 WaterMesh=0.2 BumpAmount=0.4 <------------ higher the number here will increase intensity. Too high makes everything twinkle too much. Mine works nicely at 0.4 Add these lines to your terrain's Data.INI if you dont already have them. This only works for FE2

Could it be possible to create a randomly positioned artillery explosion effect that would emit from one stationary object like a truck exaust? Ex, if I placed a ground object, like oil drums (as the effect host) or anything else small, up and down the front lines it would constantly emit randomly placed artillery explosion effects or large Dirt Spikes at a radius of 50 to 100 meters and timing of 5 to 10 second intervals. I would then place the object via the Terrains' Targets.INI to populate "No Mans Land". I could then constantly see, from the air, the effects of Artillery constantly pulverizing the lines. This is for First Eagles 2 so the effects.ini's are similiar if not the same. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Anyone know how to get attacking planes to not fly through the Airships? How does the enemy detect the Airship mesh? are there parameters to adjust?

I've been using Stephen1918's Galicia campaigns lately and I realized that the infantry and other mobile ground objects appear in large numbers. But in my Austria-Italy campaign that uses the Vogesen terrain only manage 4 objects at a time that move from node to node. Galicia seems to have about 12 or more per side. I've crossed checked the Data from both campaigns and both terrain files and I cant figure out whats different. What controls the amount of mobile ground units that appear for each campaign mission? The Campaigns' DATA.ini that reads: ex: from Vogesen terrain campaign. [GroundUnit023] GroundObjectType=AustrianInfantry UnitName=7th Infantry ForceID=2 Nation=AUSTRIA BaseArea=Konigsburg Nahe Schlettstadt RandomChance=100 StartObjects=100 MaxObjects=100 <--------- higher number doesnt change anything Experience=80 Morale=80 Supply=100 Intelligence=80 Formation=TankSpread MaxObjectPerMission=8 <--------------------- nor here These parameters dont seem to have much of an effect. I've tried different number values. The objects always max out at 4 units for the offensive side and about two units for the defensive side defending the node. Any ideas??

Well I got it to work. Just deleted some lines and now there are a whole lot of troops on the ground attacking their objectives. Very cool to watch. Those lines were messing things up. Vogesen w Jan's terrain upgrade is beautiful. It was perfect for a make shift Italianish terrain. With max settings it's one of the nicest terrains. Too bad gepard didnt add more around the north, northwestern front lines. Could have used more airfields. -

I made a formation mod for the Airships. I added a new Nation to the Nations.INI called "German Zeppelins". Here under "Bomber" I added ..Bomber=Zeppelin... for the bomber formation. Then in the Formations.INI I added a new formation parameter called [Zeppelin] and tried to create just one Squadron with one flight, and one element. But no matter what the game seems to randomly go between 1 and 2 aircraft. So I Spaced out the formation for the second ship. You'll see in my pics above that the other ship is way way off to the Starboard side. I think 3000 to 4000 meters or so.

Sorry to get off topic but I know most of you have seen this before but this is one of my Rail Yards WIP for the Flanders terrain. I'm making a shipping port and Depot complete w train sounds, ship whistles and misc ship yard sounds and seagulls. Very cool to have added sounds to the terrain. My airfields all have birds chirping, a light breeze, distant dog barking, and some mechanics sounds. Making a nice place for the Sea Planes.

If I had an extra 3G's laying around for 3D max , trust me, I would be building. It facinates me. I wish I could learn. There were a few guys around but lost interest in FE.

The Ilya Muromets would be very cool. That one would be right up Stephen1918's ally with his Eastern Front maps and Campaigns. I would like to see that one for sure.
