This is my "Formation.ini" file for First Eagles Gold install. For FE2 look in the CombatAce.com First Eagles forums for help It has three altered formation versions. 1. "Fighter" -- Used for German fighter and attack aircraft. "Vee" flight formation with "Vee" Squadron formation. 2. "Fighter2" - Used for Allied fighters and attack aircraft. "Echelon Left" flight formation with box like Squadron formation. 3. "Bomber" - I changed the spread of each flight of three. More space between. Each flight is in a "Vee" formation with a slight altitude difference with each aircraft. I included pics of each formation so you can see what I have described above. A Readme file is also inside. Enjoy, quack74 -
First Eagles Weapons not working.........
quack74 replied to Fightingirish's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
In the FE download section there is a section for Flight Models. Inside is a bunch of updated flight models by Peter01. These files also include fixes and add-ons for weapons for almost every aircraft. I recommend downloading these files. It makes everything much easier. It's copy and paste stuff. Hope this helps. Fighting Irish from Scotland? -
I agree. The gunners from your 11/2 Strutter or Latons' two seaters would be awsome. I also sent Capun1950 a request to fix the forward fuselage glass. So there should be a patched LOD file soon for it at Skunkworks. I hope BTW thanks for the skin compliments . I'm not sure what the inside really looked like so I left the interior in a wood finish. I believe the fuselage was a plywood skin, so I didnt think it would look like fabric on the inside. I could be wrong.

I'm going to post a few new Pfalz D.III and Pfalz D.IIIa skins. The newly added Pfalz D.IIIa needed lots of work. So I created decals to cover up the distorted lower wings and tail section. Let me tell ya, what a bit*#. And for the Pfalz D.III's the guns have been removed (lowered) and I added some gun ports and changed the flash positions. D.IIIa Jasta 5 D.IIIa stock D.III gun fix

quack74 posted a topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2 File Announcements
File Name: Gotha G.IV "Red" lead aircraft File Submitter: quack74 File Submitted: 15 Apr 2010 File Category: Other Central Powers Aircraft Skins 4-Pack of Gotha G.IV of Kagohl 3 They are flight leader aircraft. Brandanburg's is the all red tail. They are said to be possibly red in color as opposed to the popular green. If you have already downloaded my "Green " versions, then just back them up and install the "Red" ones in their place. The red one without lettering also has two extra skin templates in the skin folder for the Green version. Just rename the "Green" templates to the stock names. Click here to download this file -

Exellent stuff Sinbad . Bombing has never been more fun And Southside Bucky, I actually have those pics and more. There is a picture of the 2 "Green" Gothas that is at full view and shows one more. But the lettering is obscured. Ofcourse

Thanks OlPaint01, I'll just wait patiently then Here are what the lead aircraft would look like in red. I'll post them so you all can use them if you like:

In my latest skin download of the Day Time Gotha G.IV's of Kagohl 3, there are two with green fuselage sides and some green on the nose. I will be adding one more like these as another flight leader. I just found some more pics on the net of these three G.IV's. I love finding new photos . But I have a question for anyone who might know. It is said that these three Gotha G.IV's might be painted in red rather than the popular version in green. I seem to be leaning more to the red as well. If Brandenburgs G.IV had a red tail than why not the other flight leaders? I believe from what I've read that even the historians on the matter believe them to be red as well. So, I will change them all to red and add them as a seperate download. Some of you might like the green. But it might be more accurate if I make the red versions too. So I'll let you all decide for yourselves. But If anyone has anything to say on the matter then please do. I love to learn new things and hear others opinions. BTW OlPaint, Peter01, Sinbad, what's the statis of that bombsight mod? Has a step by step been slaped together? I've been going back and forth with the few threads about the bombsight mod, but it's getting too confusing. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I've been caught up doing skins for the Gothas and DH-2, so I fell behind with the bombsight mod. Peter01, could you make up a step by step to how you got your bombsight working? Or even add it into your Flight Models pack somewhere? I tried it out but I couldnt get it 100%. I was spending too much time trying to figure it out on my own. Maybe I was being lazy . But a "how to" in one readme would be great.

Man, I got to get those Gotha's out soon I guess. And maybe a HP400 This will be a very cool addition. Just what we need for bombers. Now we need some good bomber campaigns. ...Anyone?........anyone?

quack74 replied to quack74's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
For Southside Bucky, I'm changing the letter and number decals now so they're not in the pics but I changed the No.24 Sqn Fuse bottom color to white (ish) and changed the position of the No.32 Sqn numbers and letters on the underside of the fuse. Also I changed that band around the nose and lightened the dope up a bit. -
To be honest here, I dont use FE2 at all yet. So I dont understand how and where folders are set up or what the need to be named. I kind of understand what you're asking and it makes perfect sense. I'll see what I can do.
