  1. Did the F have breech bulges? And the canopy was different, I think.
  2. This goes back a long way, but I seem to recall that there was a problem with the longer distance LODs on the B-26, and the fix was to edit the B-26.INI file to use only the main B-26.LOD, like this: [LOD001] Filename=B-26.LOD Distance=250 [LOD002] Filename=B-26.LOD Distance=500 [LOD003] Filename=B-26.LOD Distance=8000 Try that and see if it works.
  3. I love this sim, and all the off-beat aircraft we can have, thanks to the modders! This one is a beauty.
  4. In First Eagles the fixed machine guns have entries like this: [LeftMachineGun] SystemType=FIXED_GUN GunTypeName=303CAL_VICKERS_MK1 InputName=FIRE_PRIMARY_GUN GunFireAnimationID=4 GunGroup=1 MuzzlePosition=-0.1379,1.2771,0.5807 AimAngles=0.0,3.0,0.0 MaxAmmo=300 EjectShells=TRUE EjectPosition=-0.35,0.37,0.5 EjectVelocity=-1.5,-0.25,-0.5 Whether this works in SF I don't know.
  5. Outstanding map counters, thanks Cap'n. They add a lot of color to the WW2 Pacific mod. One thing I found, using this add-on to the WW2 PTO mod, is that the sim freezes whenever I select "Map", unless I comment out from the new PlanningMapScreen.INI file the line UseNationIcon=TRUE But editing the new PlanningMapScreen.INI file as follows makes this add-on work fine: UseRelativeAlignment=FALSE // UseNationIcon=TRUE NationAircraftIconFormat=MapIconAir_%s.bmp NationGroundForceIconFormat=MapIconGround_%s.bmp NationNavalUnitIconFormat=MapIconNaval_%s.bmp I don't know why this is so, but there it is. This is with a fully merged install of all five SF2 titles, so maybe there is something which got added to the sim in SF2NA which does not like the code "UseNationIcon="
  6. Thanks a lot for this one - more Soviet targets are always useful!
  7. Fantastic - what an outstanding-looking aircraft!
  8. Need RAAF ID please

It is a Cessna O-1G Bird Dog, serial number 21491, painted in colours of the Thai Air Force circa 1970, at Temora Aviation Museum in NSW. You can read about it here: http://www.aviationmuseum.com.au/aircraft_colection/cessnao1g/index.html
  9. Remembrance Sunday

    Amen.
  10. It works fine for me in SF1( '08 level), but not in SF2. I guess us techo-ingoramuses will have to wait, for this to be re-done to SF2 level. Is Ansons still around?
  11. Same problem here - the sim freezes at the 10% mark loading this terrain. It needs upgrading to SF2 standard by one of the experts - way above my pay grade.
  12. Outstanding! I love these WW2 French birds.
  13. This update RAR file has a new JPG skin and a Max file, but not a LOD file. For those of us who don't have 3DsMax and who don't the first clue about creating aircraft models, could we have a new LOD for the Potez 631? I love these French birds.
  14. Outstanding - I love these obscure French birds!
  15. I love the animations on this bird - the radiator which drops down, and the little folding radio aerial under the fuselage which extends once you are wheels up. Great job!! We need more of these French machines.
  16. Thanks Gerwin, I really like the new version, especially the ability to view the movement routes.
  17. The figures in the sim are in Watts. SLPowerDry=1517499.5 = 2035 hp (you divide by 745.7 to convert from the figures in the sim to horsepower).
  18. I'm pretty sure that EjectPosition= is the place (in metres, from the CoG) where the shell casings originate from, and EjectVelocity= is the initial velocity in metres per second. So EjectVelocity=0.0,0.0,-2.0 gives an initial velocity of 0 in the left/right direction, 0 in the fore/aft direction, and 2 metres per second downwards.
  19. How is this terrain progressing? Did it ever get released?
  20. Looking great - hopefully it wil be done soon.
  21. I have a 1Tb HDD as my C:/ drive and a 256Gb SSD as my D:/ drive. I have all my SF2 core files installed on the SSD D:/ drive and my SF2 mods folders in the standard place on the C:/ drive, and it all works perfectly, smooth as silk from the SSD drive.
  22. I don't exactly know how to do them, but I noticed that the A-Team PTO SolomonsWW2 terrain has several off- map airbases which work, because I have seen aircraft from them (that is, of types not based on the map, like the PBY-5A) showing up in the Guadalcanal campaign. They all seem to have positive coordinates, on the right or top of the map.
  23. I think C5 is long gone from this sim, but everything you need should be at this site.
  24. I am getting this too, both in NA and in other mods which use the SF2NA.EXE file. I have GroundObjects set to unlimited, and only very occasionally get one or two parked aircraft, usually none. I am sure there used to be more parked aircraft in earlier versions of SF2.
