  1. Montevideo, Aeropuerto Internacional Angel San Adami an other small airfield with a very short runway. It is only 1.200 meters long.
  2. Pando, Escuela Militar de Aeronáutica, Uruguay Some barracks, two hangars. A small airfield for pilots basic training. It's a very short runway, only 1.100 meters long. Skyhaws lined up for take off Impressions of the parking area.
  3. River and town i have on the map. But the town is to small and the river to big. I think i should make a tile where a town is situated on a river. I always thought, that some ground crews would bring some life in the scenery of an airfield. Last weekend i played First Eagles again, after long years of absence and i found, that Geezer made some ground crew objects. I took one of this and repainted them to more modern: They are a little bit difficult to see, close to the Jeep and then a second group near the Harrier. So the group looks in LOD-Editor:
  4. I have repainted some parts of the tiles a second time. I replaced the motorway near the airfield with trees. The same i did with the small factory area, which you see in the left lower corner of the screenshot. The reason was to improve the look, so that it better fits with the neighbor tiles.
  5. I have finished the both airfield tiles. The water is now blue. I relocated the Hippodrom racecourse, so that it is now completely on the tile. I hope you like it
  6. An experiment with brown water tiles, with the colors taken from the airport tile. Brown does not look like water. It looks like a desert.
  7. So the coastline airport of Buenos Aires looks now: I still must do some paintshop work on the tile. The color of the water, for instance. Normaly it would be correct to paint all sea tiles in the brown color, which you see now on the tile, but for me the brownish water looks in game like desert, not like ocean.
  8. I moved the airfield 2 km westward. Then i made some changes in the coastline, added some port tiles and enlarged the island Costanera Sur a little bit. I must still relocate the target area of the port and rework the area, where i have now located the port. Then i perhaps will rework the island again, relocate the powerplant, perhaps include the shipyard. This would need reworking of 2 tiles. Lets see.
  9. Quick and dirty. A first attempt to create the coastline airport of Buenos Aires. It need a lot of work to fit it in.
  10. You will laugh, but the Soviets built a MiG-21 prototyp in a similar configuration. It was called Ye-6/2. It had an increased wing area in double delta shape. Mandatory Screenshot: Logans Ye-144
  11. The coastline of Buenos Aires is formed so difficult, that it would need to create a lot of new tiles. A tile has the size of 2x2 km. The distance from the airport in the north to the tank farm are aprox 17 km. Some areas would need 2 tiles side by side, so that it would need 25 to 30 new tiles. All tiles are water tiles, which means each tile is 4.097kB in size. Then alle new tiles must populated with TOD files with 500 kB each. I fear, that the workload for the computer would be to high, so that slide show effects could appear.
  12. Eurofighter HUD. For the case, that a modder want to make a new one for SF2. copyright: Bundesluftwaffe
  13. I found the skyscraper.lods, which i made in 2009, on my harddrive. For test reasons i placed them in downtown Buenos Aires. Left the Buenos Aires Dock Sud Tank Farm, mid the portland, right the powerplant Costanera. In background you see the National Congress Building, the argentinian parliament. (Okay its the LOD of the german Reichtag. But it is the only LOD which fits more or less.) The textures of the skyscrapers must rework. but for making a skyline they are not to bad, i think.
  14. Something like this? Edit: After playing with PaitShopPro it looks so:
  15. "Stukas!" UFA 1941 german war movie. "Wir sind die schwarzen Husaren der Luft! Die Stukas, die Stukas, die Stukas!" "We are the black Husars of the air! The Stukas, the Stukas, the Stukas!" Here the movie with english subtitles: And here the song "Wir sind die schwaren Husaren der Luft" from the movie "Stukas"
