  1. Ehm guys. Soviet planes never should have the number "00". This number stands for "toilet". The other number, that never should appear is "13". Its bad luck number in Russia.
  2. FE2 - Toggle Landing Gear

You can use the controls.ini from SF2 in FE2. No problem.
  3. So it is. A TOD editor would be a nice and urgently needed tool.
  4. The basic Shilka we have as stock object in game, but not an improved version.
  5. In the meantime it is possible to include satellite imagary in tiles.
  6. The advantage is, that SF2 supports jpg files. So we can make tiles with a comparable resolution to FE. But the variability of the tiles is lower than in FE, of course. As an example a WIP tileset for South England in late summer. One tile has the size of 1024x1024 pixel which are comparable with 512x512 pixel tiles of FE terrains.
  7. The major plus point for FE is the terrain. It is made by 500 m x 500 m tiles instead 2000 x 2000 m tiles in SF world. What means, that a FE terrain can look much better than a SF terrain. The resolution is much better. You can use SF terrains in FE, but not FE terrains in SF.

Remark. Battledress camo and gun does not fit. The KMS-72 came in 1972. At this time a different camo was used on the battledress. The top button of the uniform was always worn open.
  9. IMG_6412.JPG

Remark: The pants of the combat suit was never put in the boots. So no vermin, such as ticks, could penetrate.
  10. Good remark. I will make new decals. No problem at all.
  11. Recon over South England (revision of Battle of Britain terrain, still WIP, thatswhy some old tiles to see in screenshot.)
  12. Shipnames and tactical numbers are now made as decals. Position and size are not perfect, its just a try.
  13. Kuz is firing unguided rocket from depth-charge launcher (ASW weapon system) at enemy ships.
  14. Kuz is firing Shipwreck missiles on Nimitz. (missile launch position is not correct. WIP) first missile salvo missed the target, was flying over the deck second salvo fired this time one hit. and sunk
  15. What happens when an ally become a frenemy...?

The correct way, i think, would be to throw away the Sykes-Picot "bullsh..t". The Kurds should have an own state. Such a state should be formed by negotiations with Turkey, Iraq, Syria and Iran. On short term the rulers of these nations lose some land, but on long term they get a stable situation, which is neccessary to get peace and prosperity.
  16. WIP report. The Kuz sinking after bomb hits. Kashtan flak systems are firing with guns. Kashtan is firing with gun while VLS launcher is firing a SA-9-N missile.
  17. What happens when an ally become a frenemy...?

From the stategic point of view the decision to leave Syria is correct. The USA are suffering from "strategic overstretch". They are engaged nearly all over the world. This is very expensive. The old prussian king Friedrich II (Frederic the Great) once said: "Who tries to defend all, defend nothing!". Because the forces are overstreched, what means, they are to weak on the deciding battlefields. If you are to weak, your losses increase, the war time increases, the costs climbing into the skies. To cure such a situation it is neccessary to concentrate on the deciding battlefields and to leave the non deciding battlefields, or to say it with General Guderian "Klotzen, nicht kleckern!". Syria is a non deciding battlefield for the USA. The IS forces are knocked down. There are no ressources in Syria, which are important for America, nor is there a need for Air Bases or Naval Stations in this area. The USA has better places for such installations. So it is a correct decision to retreat the US Forces from Syria. BUT. The withdrawal was made in the most stupid way. An efficient ally was abandoned, you can say betrayed. The withdrawal was overhasty, valuable equipment was left behind. Conclusion: Nice idea, but bad try. or That's not how you do it!
  18. Su-9 with GP-9 gunpod.
  19. Dort unterm Eiffelturm werden wir stehen, über die Towerbridge werden wir gehen!
  20. Utka, the plane was namend by the crews. Utka is the russian word for duck.
