  1. Aren't those already available? Look in the F-14 skins section at Fist of the Fleet. The link's at the top of the page.
  2. I thought we had a CR.42 already. But no, it's the CR.32 Capun's done. My bad. Looks like I went off a bit half-cocked on suggesting an Italian BoB campaign just yet.
  3. Now that we've got Veltro's excellent BR-20, is an Italian BoB campaign a possibility for the next version? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corpo_Aereo_Italiano This is the first bit of the article: Formation Italian dictator Benito Mussolini insisted on providing an element of the Italian Royal Air Force (Regia Aeronautica) to assist his German ally during the Battle of Britain. On September 10, 1940, under the aegis of the "Milan Air Squadron" (1a Squadra Aerea di Milano), the CAI was formed. Air Marshal (Generale sa) Rino Corso-Fougier was the CAI's Air Officer Commanding. Aircraft Fiat CR.42 of 18° Gruppo, 56° Stormo. The Italian CR.42 was a manoeuvrable and fast biplane fighter. Despite its good manoeuvrability and speed (440+ km/h) it was technically outclassed by the faster Hurricane and Spitfire of the British Royal Air Force. Fiat G.50 of 20° Gruppo, 56° Stormo. The Italian G.50 monoplane fighter was restricted by its range of 400 miles (640 km) (roughly the same as that of Bf 109E models used by the Luftwaffe) and the lack of a radio unit in most participating aircraft. Fiat BR.20 bombers of 13° and 43° Stormo. The Italian BR.20 was a twin engined bomber capable of carrying 1600 kg (3,528 lb) of bombs. Supporting aircraft included five CANT Z.1007 used for reconnaissance and Caproni Ca.133 transport planes. On September 25, the bombers arrived at their airfield in Melsbroek, Belgium. They arrived after an eventful journey which saw several planes force landed or even crashed due to malfunctions and poor weather. The fighter element arrived later at Ursel, also in Belgium. It looks like we still need the Fiat G.50 to complete the combat aircraft line-up, but perhaps one of the other Italian fighters that are available could act as a stand-in?
  4. I'm using WOE as my base sim. I'm pretty sure it said that in the readme.
  5. Get Airfix on the phone. I think we've got a contender for the model box artwork!
  6. http://military-machine.blogspot.com/search?q=focke+wulf+condor This might help.
  7. USS INDEPENDENCE (LCS-2)

I like the sports area at the stern for shipboard recreational activities during the cruise. Good for tennis, basketball or five-a-side football (soccer to you yanks), but they need some nets!
  8. Attention! MSgt Nesher ready for your orders!

Mazel Tov Nesher! A great new year's present!
  9. Shana Tova. (Happy new year)

Shana Tova Guys. Wishing you all a happy, healthy and sweet new year.
  10. Looks great! Is there any chance of adding any USMC AV-8B units from a helicopter carrier to really bring back the flavour of the Marine Fighters add-on for Jane's USNF? It looks like we've only got the USS Tarawa available, which was decommissioned in March 2009, but I think there are others in the class operational. Maybe one of the experts can enlighten us further?
  11. But don't start asking for an Israeli Airforce nickname for it!
  12. I like it. Sure it's not a Ki-109 though?

Strike Fighters/Wings Over Vietnam/Wings Over Europe etc Mi-24 skins readme All credit for these skins goes to their creators as detailed below. All I've done is to re-format them for SF\WOV\WOE and add a textureSet to each skin. Not all of the countries for which we have skins are included in the standard NATIONS.ini list, so I've left those as Soviet. It doesn't make any difference to the skins' appearance as there are no decals to worry about. If you have the New Nations mod that includes these missing countries then feel free to modify the relevant TextureSet. All you need to do is to extract the skin to your Objects\Aircraft\Mi-24 folder, then go fly and blow up some stuff. Thanks must go to the A Team for making the Mi-24 for SF\WOV\WOE, Tim Conrad for the original Mi-24V, and of course TK for giving us these great sims to play with. This skin is based on Gregory Paul's textures. Enjoy, and good hunting Allen ps You can use these skins in any mods, campaigns etc, but please name check me and the original skinners in your credits as a courtesy. Thanks
  15. Great stuff, but I thought you'd be flying an EF-2000 in those screenies
  16. @Wrench (or any other interested party)

Patriot Games had loads of geographical errors. There was quite a big thing made of it in the reviews when it came out at the cinema over here. These are just a couple from imdb: Errors in geography: Dennis Cooley runs out of his bookshop in the Burlington Arcade and into a tube station at Aldwych, a mile away. Errors in geography: Sean Miller is transferred from a prison in Southwark (in London) to the high security unit on the Isle of Wight. This would involve a land journey of 50 miles to the southwest, then a ferry across the Solent. However, the ambush is depicted as occurring at the Middlesbrough moving bridge, 200 miles north of London; and in later dialogue it's said to have been in Kent near the Channel, which would be southeast of London and at least 70 miles from the Isle of Wight ferry routes.
  17. Even if you stayed in 1982, this might be an interesting alternative history mission to make: http://athens.dnstraffic.net/~changing/samples/coldwar/falklands_war_1982.htm Scroll down to the part describing the major air battle on 10 May 1982 There seemed to be no indication, on the morning of 10th May, that the greatest naval battle to take place since 1945 was about to begin....
  18. How about a 1970s scenario with Ark Royal and her airwing when the Buc has been completed? Alternately a late 1980's or 1990s re-invasion attempt by Argentina, with the Argentinian carrier and land based aircraft being defended against by RAF Phantoms or Tornados based at Stanley and a British carrier battle group using Sea Harrier FA.2s.
