  1. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=6144 This should be what you're looking for.
  2. Never mind who has the worst Prime Minister, what about who has the best looking female politician? http://listas.20minutos.es/?do=show&id...mp;c=1233508233 With apologies to all our female members for such blatant sexism. p.s. my vote was for Orly Levy!
  3. Lol. She proabably lives in the evilcommbuilding too!
  4. I posted this in C5's Tea and Literature Club, but I don't know how many of you get over there and thought it might be relevant for this thread too, although from what Wrench has posted so far the map he's working on isn't exactly what's needed. Just saw this while I was in the supermarket shopping. I'll probably wait till it's out in paperback but it looks really good - by the same author as Vulcan 607... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Phoenix-Squadron-B...1827&sr=8-1 From the author of the superb Vulcan 607 this is another well detailed and informative account of an urgent and technically demanding long range mission by Fleet Air Arm Buccaneer strike aircraft launched from HMS Ark Royal in January 1972 in order to deter Guatemalan aggression against British Honduras (now Belize). The book encompasses the story behind the moves by Guatemala as well as HMS Ark Royal's operations in the year leading up to the event. The story is told from the perspectives of many of those involved, not just the aircrews but the British government at the time as well as many others. There are also photographs and technical information included and the gripping story reads like a techno-thriller although it is all fact. Might give us a scenario for the upcoming Buccaneer? Edit: Forgot to say, I had a look through the pictures, and there are pics of Buccs and Phantoms, Gannets, SeaKings, and Guatemalan F-51s, T-33s and C-47s. The 1972 crisis also involved RAF Harriers and Canberras too. There's stuff about NATO ops (including picture of Ark Royal in dock dwarfed by Nimitz), Bear\Badger\Bison intercepts and the Falklands too.
  5. File Name: He-111H2 Romanian Air Force, Grupul 5, Corpul 1, Zaporozy, Ucraina, Early 1943 File Submitter: allenjb42 File Submitted: 19 Dec 2008 File Updated: 2 Apr 2009 File Category: HE-111/JU-88 and Other Twin Engine Aircraft He 111 Skins Readme These skins are for the various versions of the He-111 created by the Dev A-Team and modded by me. The skins are interchangeable between aircraft versions, but for historical accuracy you should install them to the appropriate model. This skin is based on the work of Alessandro Biagi for the Ground Crew Design Team He-111H series for CFS2&3. To install, just extract the file to your Objects\Aircraft\He-111xx folder and go fly. It's that simple! The skin should be available in the drop down menu of the He-111xx Hangar Screen loadout section. Heinkel He 111H-2 - Romanian Air Force, Grupul 5, Corpul 1, Zaporozy, Ucraina, Early 1943 Thanks must go to the following: Alessandro Biagi for his work in creating the skin (I just converted it for use in SF) and for his kind permission in allowing me to bring the skins to the SF community. The SF Dev A-Team for creating this plane to fly in the Thirdwire sims. TK for SF,WOV,WOE,FE,WOI and who knows what else. Have fun, and good hunting! Allen (allenjb42) Burton Any problems, find me at combatace.com, simhq.com or the A-Team Skunkworks http://cplengineeringllc.com/SFP1/ Click here to download this file
  6. :blush2: My mistake. That's what I get for blindly copying and pasting without checking! Now corrected, but we still need an Eastern Front terrain to fly it over!
  7. Maurice Jarre Deceased

RIP. For us aviation movie fans, he also composed the soundtrack for Firefox.
  8. Well if you've got Israeli jets flying over it I'm definitely interested! As to the where - I'll go for them making a strike on a Hamas convoy in Sudan.
  9. I had a cousin who worked for Bae on the Nimrod AEW project. I remember speaking to him after it was cancelled in favour of AWACS and he said although he was disappointed for the company he couldn't argue with the decision. He had real look of relief on his face that they weren't going to get bogged down with a project that was going to haunt a lot of careers for a long time and probably never end up as what it was intended to be.
  10. Looks great Ed. That head-on shot isn't the AEW version is it?
  11. Some firefighter skins for the A-26B: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=2822 http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=2821 Feel free to use or mod them as you see fit.
  12. For the nations just change the nation in the individual aircraft's data.ini to Syria. If they are stock aircraft you'll need to extract the data.ini files so you can edit them. On you second question you're right, but then you wouldn't be able to fly those planes in single missions after the end date you put into the data.ini
  13. The Person Below Me

False - why would I want to risk getting pizza all over my computer? The person below me can't make head or tail of what everyone in the Celtic Wars thread is getting excited about.
  14. Which was the Cornish one? I didn't see any pictures of pasties on any of the roundels!
  15. The Brits invented Top Gun? That's cool. But not as cool as the fact that it was really the North Koreans...
  16. It's the BLT's B-Day!

Happy birthday Dave. The person below me wishes you happy birthday too! (oops wrong thread!)
  17. This might help in respect of the Irish Air Corps: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_air_force I'm at work at the moment so can't check properly what aircraft, if any, we have available ingame. Presumably in this scenario, and as mentioned somewhere above, the Irish will get some assistance from Irish American mercenaries - flying what, A-4s and F-5s or something more modern?
  18. Troy - The WW2 nations are in this new nations pack http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=1630 Great mod Kevin, and much needed.
  19. Original "Hasbro" Microprose Falcon 4

If you do want to buy, it looks like there's a copy on ebay: http://video-games.shop.ebay.co.uk/items/V...286Q2ec0Q2em282 a few on Amazon.co.uk http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h__3...amp;x=0&y=0 and one at Amazon.fr http://www.amazon.fr/s/ref=nb_ss_w?__mk_fr...ywords=falcon+4
  20. 'You're gonna need a bigger boat.' Or maybe not.
  21. Cracked me up

I love this one - Hitler gets betrayed in a game of Risk. Classic line: 'This never happens when I play with Stalin!'
  22. I enjoyed it. In fact I'm in the middle of re-reading it for about the third time. Thought it was appropriate for St Patrick's Day! For the Celtic Wars campaign, are you envisioning a scenario where the individual countries took over the weapons that were in place at the time when the UK broke up - kind of like what happened with the USSR? So you could have Scottish Tornados at Lossiemouth, but English Tornados operating from Marham. Of course this would change when the countries started buying in kit from elsewhere to make up any deficiencies. Here's a map of current bases if it helps http://www.raf.mod.uk/organisation/stations.cfm
  23. Interesting idea. We'd need a new map covering the whole of the British Isles and Ireland. It could also be used for a campaign based on 'Dark Rose' by Mike Lunnon Wood - anyone read it? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dark-Rose-Mike-Lun...9933&sr=8-5
