  2. Spitfire celebrates 70th anniversary

I always thought that they should have named the Eurofighter 2000 'Spitfire', instead of Typhoon.
  3. Saw this in the paper at the weekend so I thought I'd post it in this thread. I know it's a bit real world but there's a pic that can form the basis of a skin. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10...fghanistan.html
  4. File Name: Fokker D. XXI - 1. JaVa, Netherlands May 1940 File Submitter: allenjb42 File Submitted: 2 Aug 2008 File Category: WW2 Aircraft Skins Fokker D. XXI - 1. JaVa, Netherlands May 1940 This skin is for the Dev A-Team's Fokker D. XXI and is a conversion of the skin created by Morton for Krzysztof Malinowski's FOKKER D. XXI for CFS2 To install, just extract the file to your Objects\Aircraft\FokkerD21 folder and go fly. It's that simple! The skin should be available in the drop down menu in your plane's Hangar Screen loadout section. Thanks must go to the following: Capun and the Dev A-Team for bringing us some great planes to play with. TK for SF,WOV,WOE,WOI,FE and who knows what else. Have fun, and good hunting! Allen (allenjb42) Burton Any problems, find me at combatace.com, simhq.com or at Capun's site. Click here to download this file
  5. Maybe Baltika can be persuaded to look into a Blitzkrieg campaign at some point?
  6. File Name: Mi-24 Luftwaffe File Submitter: allenjb42 File Submitted: 2 Aug 2008 File Category: Mil Helicopters Strike Fighters/Wings Over Vietnam/Wings Over Europe etc Mi-24 skins readme All credit for these skins goes to their creators as detailed below. All I've done is to re-format them for SF\WOV\WOE and add a textureSet to each skin. Not all of the countries for which we have skins are included in the standard NATIONS.ini list, so I've left those as Soviet. It doesn't make any difference to the skins' appearance as there are no decals to worry about. If you have the New Nations mod that includes these missing countries then feel free to modify the relevant TextureSet. All you need to do is to extract the skin to your Objects\Aircraft\Mi-24 folder, then go fly and blow up some stuff. Thanks must go to the A Team for making the Mi-24 for SF\WOV\WOE, Tim Conrad for the original Mi-24V, and of course TK for giving us these great sims to play with. This skin is based on Tim Conrad's textures. Enjoy, and good hunting Allen ps You can use these skins in any mods, campaigns etc, but please name check me and the original skinners in your credits as a courtesy. Thanks pps Here is a list of Mi-24 operators, together with the versions that they use, to assist you in adding skins to the most appropriate helicopter: About 700 in Russian Army service, most with helicopter attack regiments of Mi-8/17s and Mi-24s. You should be able to set up assymetrical loading fairly easily by editing the DATA.ini Looks like the DS team have got one of the main players for a sequel OIF campaign. After DS has been released of course.
  9. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=1630 Have a look at this Royohboy, it might save you duplicating some of the nations you want to add.
  10. Plenty of profiles here. http://www.carrierbuilders.net/store/print...et-c-21_39.html
  11. Just a thought. How about renaming this thread the Superhornet skins thread so anyone working on a skin or who wants to comment can join in? Then we wont get clogged up with multiple F\A-18F skin threads.
  12. Looks good Sid. You doing low viz birds too?

  14. I'm at work now and can't check the map but is Shanghai on? I believe there's a nightclub where 'Anything Goes.' Should be just right for the period as an Easter egg.
  15. Try here for the IDF planes. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=19806 And a 'please' would be nice.
  16. So will you be making multiple versions?
  17. Don't know if this is any help http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww3/a/593/21/0
  18. 4 planes and 11 skins! Fantastic work guys. Well done.
  19. Great stuff Kevin. Now I'm going to have to have a CBI install in addition to my PTO one! (And I'm still trying to put together an Ostfront one in anticipation of the terrains that are being worked on!) BTW - Specific planeset? Is that the list or required planes for Baltika's mod or something else I'm missing in the seldom visited KB?
  20. Nice one Simon. Looking forward to release.
  21. If you make the snow camo the first textureset in the list in the plane's .ini file then the game should pick that one as the default.
  22. http://entertainment.uk.msn.com/movies/new...umentid=8959156 We've gotta have some casting thoughts for the "cocky new female pilot.".....
  23. Iron Heinkel

Ok - I asked Capun on his forum to advise what needs changing on He-111H2 (and the other versions) to bring them in line with the H5, H6 and P versions he's got out. I took the H6 and P out for a run in my BoB install. Just a two ship test flight, although the game gave us an escort of 109s. While they were partying with a load of Spitfires a flight of Hurricanes engaged us. I kept us straight and level so we would take the maximum damage. They were just Mk1s but they blew the cr*p out of us! There were chunks flying off both planes. My wingie in the He-111P went down in a graceful glide and exploded on impact. I tried to belly land because my undercarraige had been shot away. I bumped for a bit and then blew up too.
