  1. Happy Birthday to USAFMTL

    Many happy returns Dave
  2. Mi-24 Hind in WOI problem

The helicopter flies fine, but the rotor is just stationary. You can see the blades but they don't go round. I tried it on a couple of Mi-8 versions too with the same results. I installed a prop plane (Israeli Spitfire) and that seems to be OK, so maybe it's just helicopters? I'll install the AH-1G with Stormtrooper's Israeli skin and maybe a UH-60 and see what happens
  3. Back on topic (I think), is this supposed to be an Israel vs Iran scenario? If so there are plenty of Iranian aircraft skins included in the Iran/Iraq campaign, and I uploaded some Iranian MiG 29 skins a while ago. I think there's an Iranian F-5E skin about too.
  4. Yes please to the F-15S. It'll make a nice companion to Sundowner's Saudi F-15C and Tornado skins.
  5. Re-read them all last year (Kevin, you missed about half the series). It's suprising how good the continuity actually is. Try looking for them on ebay - you should pick up a few bargains. Here's the full list of his books http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/h/richard-herman/ Not heard of anything from him for a while. Hope he's still with us. Firebreak would be a good modern campaign for WOI, and The Warbirds/Force of Eagles would be good for the Iran/Iraq terrain as a campaign and mission set respectively. Heck, you could probably do the first mission for The Warbirds in WOI right now - USAF F-4E's based in Egypt intercepting Libyan MiG-23s that in turn are intercepting a USAF C-130 flying a relief mission. Oh, and the Phantoms are guns only....
  6. Solo runs in WOI in an F-15E. Who do you think you are, Matt Pontowski?
  7. File Name: Mi-24 Iraq File Submitter: allenjb42 File Submitted: 20 Mar 2008 File Category: Mil Helicopters File Version: No Information Website: No Information Strike Fighters/Wings Over Vietnam/Wings Over Europe etc Mi-24 skins readme All credit for these skins goes to their creators as detailed below. All I've done is to re-format them for SF\WOV\WOE and add a textureSet to each skin. Not all of the countries for which we have skins are included in the standard NATIONS.ini list, so I've left those as Soviet. It doesn't make any difference to the skins' appearance as there are no decals to worry about. If you have the New Nations mod that includes these missing countries then feel free to modify the relevant TextureSet. All you need to do is to extract the skin to your Objects\Aircraft\Mi-24 folder, then go fly and blow up some stuff. Thanks must go to the A Team for making the Mi-24 for SF\WOV\WOE, Tim Conrad for the original Mi-24V, and of course TK for giving us these great sims to play with. This skin is based on Rene Spaan's textures. Enjoy, and good hunting Allen ps You can use these skins in any mods, campaigns etc, but please name check me and the original skinners in your credits as a courtesy. Thanks Click here to download this file

  13. There's an Israeli one that I got working on the WOI Baz by renaming the .bmps and editing the decal.ini http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=3051 I tried to contact the author, zyzy6464, to ask if he wanted to amend and re-upload and offered to upload my amended copy (with full credit to him for the skin) but haven't heard anything back for a couple of weeks. It looks like he only ever made 2 posts here, unless he' uses another name. Any suggestions?
  14. An Ark (of The Covenant)? BTW nice Mohawk Dave. Coming soon?
  15. OK, the list and links are now as fully up to date as I can get them. If there is anything I've missed please let me know, and if anyone has some WIPs they want to post here please feel free.
  16. Added some more links - mostly skins left to do now. I'll try to get them done this week.
  17. Just to let you guys know that this should be compatible with the WOI F-15A too. You'll need to rename the .bmps and the path in the decals.ini
  18. Sundowner did an Egyptian F-4E skin. It's at C5's site http://column5.us/skins/GUESTS/sundowner/F4E_Egypt.7z Did this Egyptian F-16 package from Gepard get mentioned yet? http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=2027 If you're still interested in the Israeli order of battle for Suez 1956, here's what I put together from Bill Norton's Air War On The Edge: IAF Order of Battle - 29 October 1956 (Including French units based in Israel with bogus IAF unit designations in parentheses) Eilat 100 sqn 4 x Cub - flight D Hatzor 101 sqn 49 x Mystere IVA (incl 1 x photo-recce, only 34 operational) 113 sqn 29 x Ouragan (7 x u\s) Lod (200 sqn) 18 x F-84 (French detachment) Ramat David 69 sqn 2 x B-17 100 sqn 4 x Cub - flight B 105 sqn 13 x P-51 110 sqn 13 x Mosquito FB.6 & TR.33 119 sqn 3 x Meteor NF.13 (1 x u\s) (199 sqn) 18 x Mystere IVA (French detachment) (201 sqn) 12 x Mystere IVA (IAF assets flown by French pilots) Ramleh 100 sqn 15 x Cub - flight A 147 sqn 25 x Steaman Sde Teiman 100 sqn 11 x Cub - flight C 140 sqn 22 Harvard Tel Nof 103 sqn 6 x C-47, 19 x C-47 leased from France, 2 x C-47 mobilized Arkia passenger planes, 3 x Noratlas (203 sqn) 8 x Noratlas (owned & operated by France) 115 sqn 3 x Meteor T.7, 2 x Mosquito PR.16 (photo-recce unit) 116 sqn 16 x P-51 117 sqn 11 x Meteor F.8 & FR.9 (5 x u\s) Flying School 25 x Harvard, 38 x Stearman Hope it helps.
  19. Gotcha. BTW the AA-6, 10, 11 and 12 series of Sov AAMs don't appear to be in the pack. If you want Mig 25s and 29s and Su 27s to have the correct armament your going to have to bring them in yourself.
  20. An embarassment of riches with this update: The Mirage Factory have brought us multiple versions of the F-4E Kurnass, the RF-4E and a WOI weapons pack too! Pancho has completed his trilogy of 'filler campaigns' with his War for the Water, covering 1963-67 Kout has produced an essential new mainscreen for WOI All linked on the list.
  21. So just to clarify, if I've been using the MF weapons pack in WOI and adding individual weapons from Buny's pack, I should now delete my weapons folder and install the WOI weapons pack?
  22. Thanks very much for these and the other WOI goodies guys.
  23. Looks like something out of Warhammer 40K
  24. Looking at Wiki they are still in service! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egyptian_Air_...craft_Inventory This website also lists MiG-21MFs as being operational http://www.scramble.nl/eg.htm
