RAF F-16's from 43 Sqn if I remember right. Also a brief shot of some Russian MiG-25's in the rain, I think there were some AV-8B's and F-14's shown very briefly mixed in with the US forces in the final battle as well. Craig

Seems to be a Bandidos kind of project, fits in well with the Tejas and JF-17, not trying to pressure them into anything or saying I've heard anything but if anyone's going to do it.... Craig

Likewise - dont know why but the more I see of the Mirage the more I want it, not keen on paying to be a guinea pig though. -

A new shipyard in Beta testing

A very welcome surprise I've never quite understood why this bird hadn't been tackled up till now given the dedicated Israeli releases in WOI & SF2I, particularly given how long the games have been available. Hope the knee's ok. Craig -
Player Pilot Not Having to Always Lead The Flight?
fallenphoenix1986 replied to Brentw's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
The closest I think you'll get in single missions is to set up a flight of 1 aircraft for yourself and anotherr flight of one for you o treat as the lead. You wont be able to interact with this aircraft at all though - just follow him around pretending to be his wingman. Craig -
Turkey shoots down Russian jet
fallenphoenix1986 replied to yubba's topic in Military and General Aviation
Its from the Daily Fail.... if it had been a Russian jet the Russians would be going batsh!t crazy over the shootdown.... they aren't... ergo it didn't happen. Craig -
Practicing carrier landings
fallenphoenix1986 replied to bras's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Your best bet is either picking up the stand alone mission editor from Third-wire or picking up both SF2E & EXP1 (mission editor is included in EXP1). Either that or finding the mission file and manually editing it, used to do that myself years ago before the editor came about. Its not difficult but its a bit laborious when the editor is now available. Craig -
GOODBYE FOR US NAVY BUCKEYE

So I decided to set up a new standalone Israel install today... it wouldn't go past the menu screen regardless of the option I selected... I've now spent about 2 hours troubleshooting it and the end result is I've about 300 GB worth of heavily moded installs - don't even know where to begin rebuilding, right now I don't know if I'll even try Craig -
Thank you and goodnight
fallenphoenix1986 replied to fallenphoenix1986's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Yup, SF2I July 2013... installed at about 13:00 and by the time I posted I'd managed to somehow corrupt every install I had - managed to salvage a few mod folders but the core games are all gone. Decided to hell with it, I've now got my Israeli install going at the cost of everything else... will rebuild slowly if/when the urge to fly something else strikes - simply don't have the time to try and put it all back together. "Flying Stations" : http://www.flyingstations.com/wyvern.html Its Gen one so will likely ned work but it is available. Wouldn't mind a new Sea Hawk, Sea Vixen and an FJ4 Fury myself. Craig -
F-15C Upgrade till 2040
fallenphoenix1986 replied to 76.IAP-Blackbird's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Interesting, would have thought 2040 is a bit optomistic though since not so long ago they quite literally started falling apart in flight. Kind of hard to believe that there is a significant portion of the fleet with 20k Hrs remaining. Craig -
Aircraft carrier Accidents, Mishaps and Fails Compilaton
fallenphoenix1986 replied to KJakker's topic in Military and General Aviation
3:02 is pretty impressive - the landing looked flawless but when he comes to a stop the windshield is completely covered in oil. Looks like blood on the inside as well when they're getting him out. So flying blind and possibly wounded as well yet he nailed it. Craig -
Japan launches new helicopter carrier "Kaga"
fallenphoenix1986 replied to WhiteBoySamurai's topic in Military and General Aviation
No need to adapt the F-35B to the ships... the ships themselves might need tweaked though. Cant imagine the deck is designed to be torched by a jet. Craig -

'Dark Flight' Biplanes
fallenphoenix1986 replied to Spinners's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
Looks great in that scheme, wrong Sqn but it reminds me of 111 and their Hunters from a few decades later. Quite like the backstory as well. Craig -
F-35 first gun live fire
fallenphoenix1986 replied to WhiteBoySamurai's topic in Military and General Aviation
Not how I would have done it but fair enough. Would think depressing the door into the gun port so that the line of fire passes over the door would make more sense as it wouldn't impose an aerodynamic load on the door and its hinges. Craig
