  1. Ill check size of tac pack to see how much it should be changed. BTW: If my memory serves me right MiG 1.44 i pretty big plane, am I right? EDIT: After lots of tries I havent been able to change size without turning TAC into B-52, my brain starts to hurt, Ill go to sleep and maybe next day Ill find some solution.
  2. lol90 needs blueprints to make good model, so here are my "More or less" sketches, any insightful comments will be appreciated. Ill use this to create better ones, so if you see some mistakes correct me. I had to make new sketches, but i90 sketches helped immensely.
  3. I dont exacly see what is the problem, the faces are ok it only that there is lots of them, but maybe I just cant see the problem? I messed around with model in milkshape and everything was OK. Please explain it mode clearly so we can help.
  4. I understand that I need to name faces I grouped, but does model need bones (joints) to animate them. Most models works like skeletons, so when you rotate a joint every face that have been assigned to it moves too. I can only speculate how this is done in WoE, but if I could get my hands on one or two models made for WoE, so I could merclessly vivisect them. That would gave me pretty much most of information I need. I think that our first task would be to make this model (without changing it) work properly in WoE, after that we could think about changing model, and finally change that used F-15 INI to make this a full F-15T BTW: Shouldnt this project be named XF-15T TACTICAL, since its prototype? (just random though)
  5. So we shall use this model as our base for creating TACTICAL (converting wont be a problem) Blackbird, you seem to know thing or two about modding, could you give me some advices? Does size matters in model? Are there are bones needed to be put in model, if they do do you have any model that would help me to put them in right place (and rigg them). I presume that animated parts like gears of flaps need to be rigged to some bone to make them move. Am I right? How much of details can be put in INI file? I would be grateful for this kind of advices from more experienced modders.

  9. Believe me, I too cant wait to get this thing done. However I need normal F-15 model to even start, Im pretty good at editing existing resources so if I get model I can at least make something that will reassemble my vision. Unfortunatly modeling from scratch is imaposible for me so we have to deped on someone else to provide us with a base model (normal F-15) made for WoE.
  10. Thanks man, I really appreciate this. Could you give me some comments about my markings (you know so I could improve them)? And now for another devious idea: A defensive burst missile. If you played AC Zero you know what Im talking about. Its rather big missile but different from offensive variant. When dropped like bomb it spreads aerobrakers and as soon your plane moves away and enemy is in range in goes BOOOOOOM (in manner it did in AC). Great way to get those pesky bogeys on your tail. Hmmm what do you think? As for modeling: While working on my small mod for RE4 i learned how to assign vertexes to joints, create faces, overall work with 3D models (moving, scaling the basics). While its not much and I still got random encounters with problems, on plus side; I gain more experience dealing with them (with help of course) a little more and Ill get level up (goes away humming Final Fantasy 4 battle theme)

  12. I have written to fast cargo asking if he got usable F-15 model, Ill may write to other modders that were creating F-15's. In meantime I did some little editing and see what we got now. Its little goofy but thats exactly how I wanted it to be: As for ISAF special forces: i90, if would read my previous, previous ( ) post you would know that I was talking about ground forces and I was looking for official name for them. I did some reading and it turns out that my first guess (Joint Special Task Force) was VERY close how it should be. Joint task force composed of special operations units from more than one Service, formed to carry out a specific special operation or prosecute special operations in support of a theater campaign or other operations (this is exactly how I imagined ISAF special forces.), is named Joint Special Operations Task Force. So from now on it that unit will be named: Independent States Allied Forces Joint Special Operations Task Force (ISAF JSOTF) And heres their patch (I tried, but couldnt find two color font in Photoshop):
  13. Yo, I want to assure everyone that Im still working on this project. I decided to get little sidetracked and do some stuff for Resident Evil 4. I know this sound weird but what is really important I FINALY learned to work with 3D models, here is little preview what I was doing: My Resident Evil mod (WIP). I was tinkering with F-15E model that I got, but Ill need F-15 made for WoE (ya know poly count bones and stuff). Now, do you know someone who have F-15 model, preferably in Milkshape format (or 3D max .asc, or wavefront .OBJ), with bones textures and stuff, as reference also Ill provide full credit. Cheerio lads BTW: Any Ideas for ISAF special forces?

I know I dont try to create ultimate fighter (like in some other threads), with TAC Pack two first prototypes will fly only with subsonic speed (Gespenst will be faster of course), they will have some quirks that pilot must cope with etc. I would prefer to go with my idea about side mounted "gear holders" they good enough, I dont think we can come up with something much better, also we will have this out of way finally, also detail how much it have to be moved to the rear can be easily changed during modeling. The IPKF logo was photoshopped by me, I didnt do much, I only joined two logos. There is no way that I could make something like this all by myself. Im surprised that you cant tell what I used. Heres hint. As for mechas: I much more prefer ones who are realistic as much as it goes, I love wanzers, (Wanderung Panzer) from Front Mission saga and Arm Slaves from Full Metal Panic, for example. Also I like realistic approach to Gundams in 8th Mobile Suit Team. On side note: What should be official name for ISAF special forces. The back story goes like this: "When the Erusean war started and allies joined and created ISAF some parts of their own special forces, like OCU's Central Readiness Force or Royal Commonwealth SAS, were joined and created new formation under command of former SAS operative Maj. Catharine Shepard (a.k.a. "The Evil Bitch from Hell")." Now Im lacking the official name for that unit, I was thinking about ISAF Joint Special Task Force. Could you give me some ideas?
  16. No, this was F-15 modification from the beginning, also I really like F-15 thats why. Flanker is cool plane and all, but its just dosent make me droll (). Any comments about logo?
  17. In meantime I managed to cook up this: The International Peace Keeping Force logo. It will be on Type R and L. I dont have too much talent but Im trying.
  18. F-15T will be bigger than normal F-15, that was in my basic concept, and detail how much bigger can be easily scaled. Im not to much concerned about real plane limitations, also TAC packs make landing MUCH harder thats why i want to move gear maximally to the rear. Once again its not a REAL plane just my imaginary plane, it was in concept BIG, HEAVY and DEADLY. Dont get me wrong Im grateful that you want to help but we dont need to concern about minor (at least for me) details. Its like with planes transforming into mechas, in real world that wouldnt be to plausible also they would be very prone to malfunction, but does it change fact that they are cool? Nope. Same is here.
  19. Nose gear isnt problem at all, we can easly move it forward (im not to much concerned about what is inside anyway). As for pylons: we follow old plan with 6 wings pylons. As for gear: I would prefer to go with my idea since gear can be shorter and moved more to the rear.
  20. Are you saying that you could do some basic 3D model for F-15? If it is so thats wonderful, even basic one will be huge breakthrough. As for skins: all variants of tactical wont have to many stuff, Type L wont have any personal touch at all while "Lucky Lady" will be most complicated (Gespenst will only have something like this: as marking). Im not thinking about doing skins from scratch but to transform existing ones, it will be mostly colors and simple markings (with little exception of "Lucky Lady"). As for AC-5: I just woke up with though "Man what if they equipped C-5 like AC-130. That would be awesome!"its just a though but I wanted to share with you.
  21. Thats why I would like to pick up some experience (I was messing around in 3d max for some time). Still any reference material would be really helpful. But I would like to entrust modeling to someone who knows how. Do you know anybody who would be willing to participate in this project? Thanks i90, I got it after seeing Signum signature. Once again best solution is an easy one. The "gear holders" are ideal since there still be side mounted hardpoints also gear can be moved almost all the way to the back with makes landing possible. BTW: i90 would you like to create skin for this planes (of course after youre done with yours). On side note: My devious mind cooked up another monster: AC-5 "Wrath". A ground attack C-5 Galaxy geared up like AC-130 "Specter", man it would be like freaking flying battleship.

Sorry for my sudden disappearance but I unfortunately had pretty serious hardware problem (mechanical damage to my hard disk) and was unable to use my PC for quite a time. Mynameizme - I would be glad if you would help me, unfortunately were STILL unable to work out landing gear issue (is this most complicated part of plane or something?) but Signum previous signature (the one with Mig-29) gave idea; something like "gear holders" its an idea but pretty good one and we can still discuss it. As for modeling. I know that blueprints are needed but resizing normal F-15 causes huge loss of quality but my IT professor gave me advice to use SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics). It is used in html because graphic is scaled without lose of quality. Now the question is: does ours "blueprints" in png can put in SVG?. One request to people that create models for WoE: Does size matters ( ) in blueprints used in 3d modeling programs? If it does, could you give me some basic ones so I would now what size is needed. I tried modeling I HAD 3D max but I lacked necessary materials (and skills), but maybe together with Mynameizme we could do something worth looking at. BTW: First prototype "Type R" will be named "Lucky Lady" (mk. II since first one crushed) its only cosmetic change but I really want it
  23. There is no point, if you put them close enough (and even that cant be done, there still wont be enough place) there will be no place for forward gear (look at my firs post, TAC Pack top view). BTW: Can someone make front and side view (basing it on F-15E) using this as reference (and clean it up)?
  24. And thats the hard part. we cant use similar gear as in Tornado. Also "Gespenst" will be only carrier capable only without TAC Pack. I went through few ideas with Schizo, he came up with idea of gear being inside wings but I think it would be at sides and would at angle. I know that normally it wouldnt work but we can let it slide, can we? TAC Pack isnt properly scaled also its moved to front. EDIT: Now I see that gear must longer and moved to the back. EDIT 2: OK next try, its just to give you idea
