OK with new editor...... cannot get carriers to show up unless I edit an existing mission that has a carrier already in it. Any suggestions? Running fully merged and patched SF2. -

Key point... they do make terrible weapons, hence the alleged sarcasm. What they are is incredibly useful tools for ground troops. Every ground troop in the Army has an AN/PEQ-15. It is completely obsurd to think every G.I. on the ground is begging for a JDAM if he uses his PEQ! Besides, you can only see it with NVG's on. The point is, if lasers are such common modern battlefield tools, then why is it that some crap you can buy at Office Depot can cripple a Tornado? Seems as if there are canopy coatings, laser safety glasses and visors and things of that nature that would be so common place now, for above the ground types, that this should not be a real issue for military aircraft. I was issued "Ballistic Laser Safety Glasses" when we had the old YaG laser with the serious NOHAD. But we never wore them, because we treated the LRF and all laser devices as a "Direct Fire Weapon". Too bad Romanian Fruit Pickers do not have that kind of tight weapons discipline. Being blinded by a laser is no joke but it seems as if it is an easily defeatable threat. Is it? Or, why is it not? -

Wow forget expensive SAM systems......just arm your grunts with cheap laser pointers. It is a silly concept that military fast jets can be crippled by something like this. Looks like some R&D boys need to get on the stick, or atleast the RAF pay the money to upgrade their AC. -
What Happened?!?! Where is everyone?

I am still here dude! Waiting for Caporretto! -
Yeah, I guess some "old frag chuckers" can wax romantically about the good ole days, but the truth is those days are gone. BCT is and always has been a farce. I have friends that are Drills and some are frustrated. But the truth of the matter is knowing how to march will not help you at all in combat. Instead in OSUT ( All trigger pullers know what I am talking about ), alot of the time wasted on marching and basic old school "Chicken Chit" has been replaced with repetitive fire team level battle drills. For instance would you rather have a new Joe that knows how to do a counter column in his sleep or one that knows exactly what his actions are during Battle Drill #3. The vast majority of a Combat Arms Soldier's training is honed when he arrives in his unit. We do not sent individual replacements to war any more. Units at BDE level deploy and redeploy together. Units get filled with crutes before they deploy and with ample time to train them based on the unit's mission. They are doing it right. Leave em alone. Let the Army train their soldiers how they see fit. I have no idea what Posts some of you have visited but Army Posts now are marvels of modern architecture ( one exception, Ft. Campbell is an ugly cesspool ). BTW civilians do the majority of the grounds keeping due to soldiers actually spending the majority of their time training. Well I am proud to have "wussy narcissists" fighting for me. At least they want to be there. Next time you are in the airport and you see one of these young "wussy narcissts" traveling on RnR from A-ghan, thank him for his service. Better yet go to Walter Reed their are alot of "wussy narcissists" there.

I was a 19 yo PFC in Friedburg Germany and had four wisdom teeth removed in thirteen minutes! Got 24 hours quarters to boot! Never had a problem with any dentists uniformed or civilian contracted in 20 years in the Army. As stated before you drew the short straw.

Dude, can not wait! -
Gentlemen, all good points indeed! But that does not change the fact that I think he needs his azz whooped! I am still waiting on some one to tell me they were an E-3 cook in the Coast Guard.............

So I guess I am confused here...... does the average opinion here is that it is OK for a guy to wear a fake uniform and wear unearned decorations and tell people of his hard work protecting them from god knows what? That is the disturbing thing about modern American society. No one has a sense of honor. Welcome to the end of our society. Those decorations are sacred items, not just some worthless trinket. To not slam the hell out of someone for wearing them with out earning them cheapens them for all citizens. I have seen people get there ass kicked physically in the Army for wearing unauthorized decorations. You must submit your DD-214 to get any type of Gov. tuition assistance VA services jobs , or whatever. Some one can't just say they were in the armed forces and get it. On a funny note......Why do people never impersonate E-3 cooks in the Coast Guard?
