Baffmeister is on the home stretch for upgrading the dogfight duo, so we should have some revised files ready in a week or so. A few tweaks will be added to the Glads. The 1940 CR42 will be upgraded, plus two more versions added eventually - the mid-war fighter bomber and late-war intruder. He has also sent me a template SF2 file collection so I don't have to reinvent the wheel when I make the SF2 versions. -

Baffmeister is finishing up the latestest updates to the Falco. Once the dogfight duo is up to date in FE2, then I'll make the SF2 versions. -

I'm not sure how to answer your question because all the pilots were made the same way. I'll try making some new LODs of the RAF Europilots that use SF naming conventions, then PM you or post them here. Dunno if this will work, but we gotta start somewhere. I've attached a test RAF Euro pilot with oxy mask below. I made a new LOD in the same identical manner as I made the Italian pilots, which appear to work OK. The only difference is this pilot is named RAFeuroPilotOx. If this does not work, I guess we'll have to ask the community for ideas. Test SF Pilot.rar -

Excellent work! -
Good suggestion. I was already fooling around with helmets - check out the artillery gun crew - and could add the typical Italian cap.

The Brits used ladders too!

Shot below shows progress on Brit and Italian stuff.

I'm sick to death of looking at airplane files, so I've taken a break and worked on 1940 desert ground objects. Roughly half the models shown below are finished, the rest are still WIPs.

Spent most of the morning grinding my way through the Gladiator LODs. They're done and a package is off to the guys for testing. So, I then did something enjoyable and got the A-12 flying ingame. Its still EXTREMELY rough, but looks like it will work.

While its mostly a matter of taste, Jan Tuma's tiles have more a bit detail and variety than Max's tiles. If you are really ambitious, take a look at GTerl's tiles in his superb WW1 Italian map. He used Tuma's tiles, plus made new ones that were based on Tuma's work. Sometimes you can drop different tiles into existing maps and get very impressive results. Other times, not so much...

Nearly done with the most time consuming parts of the skins - the fuselage and cowling. Also got started on a selection of more accurate Italian bombs - 50kg shown here. Now that I know the mapping works OK, I'll get it flying ingame pretty soon.

Thanks! If you don't mind, I'll take a look at it's tile art.

For grins and giggles, I altered the brown to one of the other variants used by the Regia Aeronautica, and switched to low-visibity, late war markings. As you can see, the Italians employed VERY sophisticated camouflage concepts.
