Nice work. -
I'm working from the shot below. Its too late to start over, so I'm adding what I can to the existing model.

The final Martinsyde updates should be ready soon, thanks to Stephen1918's assistance. I've also been refining the Halberstadt - see below. On the Martinsyde, I noticed that the area in front of the pilot was rather Spartan so I have been adding more detail to those parts of the Halberstadt that are visible from the cockpit.

Anyone want to try out my Verdun re-dux terrain?

Your Verdun map will be a perfect testing ground for some models I have in development. Example below is the Morane-Saulnier Type P. The P was accepted for service by the French air service - to replace the obsolescent Type L/LA - on 31 March, 1916. 565 were built for the French, and it was widely used for recon/arty spotting through the autumn of 1917. The Brits operated 106 P's, plus Russia operated a small number to supplement the 400 plus Type L/LA aircraft used until Russia's surrender. -

I'd love to give it a shot! Geezer -
Working with Wrench, Quack, Gterl, and Stephen, I'm developing a range of more realistic looking ground objects. Shots below are WIPs, and will eventually include ships and waterfront objects. While intended for WW1, they can also be used for most other eras - 1930s, WW2, and even the Cold War. The Forts are dinosaurs from a bygone age, and are BIG muthers!
-
Shot below shows some samples being tested. They are MUCH larger than normal ground objects, so the map makers have been asked to test them and see if they work OK.

Delightful! The transparent center section looks really good. -
It sure is. Ya done good!

Also gonna make some dedicated Alpine houses/buildings. They will have deep foundations - like the Alpine fort - so they can be placed on irregular terrain.

Fun atmosphere shot.

Alpine fort overlooking valley with some buildings to give sense of scale. Might stick some trees on the fort?
