Thanks. Because many of these new objects will be HUGE - such as the maritime harbors - I'm experimenting with damage versions. Two test shots below.

Speaking of "someday" terrain, I've also been fooling around with Storm Over The Sahara. Wrench's North Africa map runs well in FE2, so I dropped in some hi-res ground textures from Eritrea and it looked pretty good. Edit: just checked and the 1024x1024 ground textures were from the HiRes Desert pack, not Eritrea.

As we discussed, I can make many of these as clusters. BIG clusters will cover a lot of ground and - somewhat - reduce the amount of files in the Types.INI.

Munich war 1938

Very impressive stuff! -
Gterl - thanks again for discovering the fix for the center section problem. I made changes, and sent the revised Martinsyde to Stephen1918 for testing in FE1. He just notified me that it works OK, so I've uploaded a revision to the CA downloads. There was never a problem in FE2, and now there is no problem in FE1, so FE Gold should be good too.

My first 3D model worth talking about was a Junkers J1. I am willing to consider dusting it off and updating it. However, the reason I set it aside was that - to be historically correct - the gamer would not have much fun. J1s were primarily used to maintain contact/communication with Stosstruppen - special assault troops who had broken through the trench line and were operating in the Allied rear - and did not carry forward firing guns or bombs. It was also slow and clumsy, and usually operated at an altitude of roughly 100-200 feet. The J1 would only be interesting if historically inaccurate guns and bombs were added. Shots below are of the old model with a new gunner.
