  6. My copy of 3dsMax R9 32-bit originally ran in WinXP, and now runs in Win7, so it looks like only the latest editions of Max require 64-bit. Also note that only the most recent editions of Max are backwards compatible with models made in earlier editions of Max. You can work around this to some extent by importing/exporting models in .3ds format (instead of .max format). There are several versions of TW exporters, compatible with several editions of Max, but only the Max 2009 exporter handles bump maps or specular maps. Found this for free 3dsmax - haven't tried it so I don't know if it works! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shxD2-T_YYs EDIT: Found this for 32-bit Max R9 (Win XP compatible) http://en.freedownloadmanager.org/Windows-PC/Autodesk-3ds-Max-9-32-bit-FREE.html
  7. Working on the other side of the fuselage now. Once they both have been worked up to the same level, I'll do the final details - chipped paint, stains, etc. Looks pretty good ingame.

  12. Mostly true, but I am going to work on an occasional China War aircraft. Once I complete the batch of Gladiators - the MK 1 was used by China - I'm going to do a little work for 1937 China. I've started skinning the A-12 Shrike, plus I'm going to map the Nakajima A4N, get it in the air, and then pass it onto Shrikehawk for refinement and completion. I'm also going to make a batch of Asian river objects, that can be used for China Skies or Viet Nam. The Rolling Thunder guy and I spent an afternoon getting him up to speed in FE2, and we laid the groundwork for some occasional cooperation in the future.
  13. Thanks. I like the China war biplane shots you've posted. Have you tried fooling around with game lighting? It will make your shots look even better. http://combatace.com/files/file/15939-improved-gameworld-appearance/
  14. Found time this morning to work on the skins a bit more, Its finally starting to look like an old, well used war horse!

  17. Well guys, it ain't gonna be ready by Christmas. There's just too much to be done and not enough time to do it. The good news is that LloydNB and Baffmeister continue to improve the various versions, so these models should be a noteworthy addition to the SF/FE fleet of aircraft. Below is a progress shot of MK1 skins.

  19. Thanks, guys. Additional shot of LloydNB's Sea Gladiator.
  20. More progress shots. LloydNB's Sea Gladiator looks really good. Because of different cockpits, skins, LODs, etc, there are actually three different Gladiator models being worked right now. Dunno if all three will be ready by Christmas, but one or two of them should be.
