  1. F-111G

One is purpose built for RAAF... and the other was a retread FB-111A to the F-111G Trainer...!!!
  2. F-111G

The F-111G is aerodynamically superior to the RAAF's F/RF-111C fleet, with better climb performance, range and a more robust inlet design. Well thats what me books says....
  3. Su-30MKK WIP

    What no 2 week line.....
  4. Skyhawks Forever....

  9. OOOOOOOOO I could crush a grape.... seriously though there is more work done on Thirdwire Series in an afternoon than on Falcon in a decade... and the exchange of infomation from what I have read on here is amazing... I know I dont post anything but appreciate the time and effort that is done in here... A big thanks to you all.... never did get the hang of Falcon and I once got a joyride in one!!!!
  10. P.s. What about the Lasercats??? But seriously I am amazed sometimes at the quality of the work done by the modders etc. Keeps me occupied for hours modding my WOE... if it gets any larger I am gonna need to buy a new PC just for WOE....
  11. I see the lunatics have taken over the asylum... Eel's Eel's he says.... and watch out for the hovercraft getting overloaded with them...
  12. AC-130 replacement

Was reading in a Mag that that the guys who operate the AC-130 series have been given the funding now for the proposed AC-27J nickname is Stinger II. To carry up to 30mm or a 40mm main gun and also carry Northrop Grumman-built Viper Strike bombs to give it more punch.
  13. Guess!

    Still want a Woblin Goblin...
  14. Guess!

oooo an F-117.... of the skys.... we want more.... take it its the usual 2 weeks then... :lmaosmiley:
  15. AC-130 replacement

    You Sank my Battleship....
  16. AC-130 replacement

Thats a test program from 2006 for Socom to see if the system was viable, they used a low poered laser. If it is they would be able to fit it into something as small as the V-22 Osprey.
  17. AC-130 replacement

The proposed AC-27J will have a maximum gun size of 40mm. Tests on the prototype stored at Davis Monthan have proven it can carry the 40mm and be able to handle the side forces involved.
  18. AC-130 replacement

The AC-27J is being used to supplement the AC-130's not replace them. Also Boeing are doing some evaluations of the C-17.
  19. Lightning's have a Ferranti Airpass AI-23 in the pointy bit also used in the SAAB J35H. For a radar performance is simialar to whats in the Mirage III but has better low level performance. Also if someone is going to re-do it can they do something about the performance as she should be able to climb from the Runway with an Intercept load pair of Firestreak - Redtop at somewhere around 50000ft a minute and should officially top out at 60000ft... but dont ask U-2 Dragonlady drivers that... Below is from Wiki but has been confirmed elsewhere in at least 3 books... In 1984, during a major NATO exercise, Flt Lt Mike Hale intercepted an American U-2 at a height which they had previously considered safe from interception. Records show that Hale climbed to 88,000 ft (26,800 m) in his Lightning F3 XR749. I have only seen footage from Lightnings dogfighting but they are nimble jets as the Test pilot has said... The late Roland Beamont (Lightning development-programme chief test pilot), after flying most of the 2nd Generation Century series US fighters of that era, made it clear that in his opinion, nothing at that time had the inherent stability and control and docile handling characteristics of the P1 series prototypes and Lightning derivatives throughout the full flight envelope. Its turn performance and buffet boundaries were well in advance of anything known to him, the Mirage 1 included. This remained so right up until the next generation of fighter/interceptors was developed worldwide, with underbelly intakes and straked leading edges, or canards. Also acceleration wise it goes like the proverbial scalded cat... and was also the only fighter able to catch Concorde :- In British Airways trials in April 1985, Concorde was offered as a target to NATO fighters including F-15s, F-16s, F-14s, Mirages, F-104s - but only Lightning XR749, flown by Mike Hale and described by him as "a very hot ship, even for a Lightning", managed to overtake Concorde on a stern conversion intercept. Some has been sourced from Wiki but has been confirmed by seperate sources minimum 2 other sources (being thorough). Anyone wants the information let me know...
  20. A quick question does anyone know if there is a Vulcan or a Victor out there for this series??? As I keep looking to see if there are and it seems as though I am getting nowhere... If there is can someone help thanks... as I was fortunate to see it fly for its last service flight back in 1991 and then to see it again chasing a Lancaster this year... as to the noise well the merlins got a bit drowned shall we say
  21. Okay I have a question for you all is there a Super Etendard model out there I am sure I had one in my old setup until the PC gave up that is... anyway if anyone knows where or if there is one can they let me know as I spent a glorious 4 months down there not!!! and I am thinking of creating a campaign for the Falklands with everything I can find... one for 82 and then maybe one for say 2005/6 and then take it from there... Thansk in advance...
  22. Falklands Again...

Thanks for the update as to adding the Radar easy enough have downloaded the Falklands Campaign finally... just got to cut and paste it to see what its like as I only use WOE... but looks like all the birds are there... As to creating a new campaign thanks for the offer but unfortunately I wont be able to do any work on it just yet as work has intruded... typical just when you think you get some free time work pops up its ugly head... will do a written layout and take it from there but could wait until after the F-35 is released...
  23. Greetings, Has anyone done a model etc for the RN/RAF Buccaneer?? If so has it been released. Unfortunately I would try to create one myself but I wouldnt know where to start to be honest... I have all the data for the Bucc but not the ability to do it justice. The last time I saw one was back in 1994 just before they went out of commision!!! and to say the guy was low would be like saying the sun was a warm place!!! Would be grateful for any advice on this one... If anyone wants the specs for the aircraft let me know and I can get them posted... Thanks in advance
