Must admit I am still playing them but with some Mods added and when I want a first person shooter I always seem to go back to Stalker and as to the thing in the Sewers RUN!!! still gets me from time to time when I have forgotten about them... the best 2 mods for SOC have got to be :- Stalker Complete 2009 & Oblivion Lost Stalker Complete needs a good system to play on and Oblivion Lost takes the toughness to new levels but also gives a more rewarding play (oh and new weapons if you can find them)... Need to install the other 2 and get them modded up as well.

Sidewinder high aspect shot: warhead effectiveness or lack thereof
Slartibartfast replied to Do335's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I always try for faceshots with a lima's and above sidewinders as they most often kill what they hit but going for aspect shots thats different especially tail shots seems as though the bad guys out fly the explosion... -

My thanks to MK2 and Erik and to everyone who makes this site run as smooth as it does. Also my thanks to all the modders out there who do their work for free to make this game as awesome as it is. Fox 2 Fox 1....
Slartibartfast posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Had a bit of a surprise took the TK F-4J up with a wingie in SF2-NA to intercept a pack of Mig-21's had the loadout correct no guns... was very surprised at my wingie once I had gone winchester. I ordered him to attack the Mig's and for every shot he did a Fox 2 followed by a Fox 1... did I miss something or are the wingmen getting better ? Was in Hard mode...!!! and he got 4 to my 3... rare for me -
Also would be great if they had a database in the game as sometimes I forgot things... and be great for a quick look to remember information especially at 3am!!!

Okay now a few more thoughts... I would like to play out the scenarios and sink destroy all my enemies... just ran the Keflavik one from both sides Your base must survive with no carriers involved and all I did was destroy the bases and that was it game over... be nice to have the option to finish the scenario or quit when victory is yours... Tanking must remember to let my jets tank when they need to...

Okay I have been playing this now for a couple of hours today and is it fun you bet watching missiles come out of nowhere and find its from a T-50K is interesting. Graphics aren't too bad but don't expect anything amazing playability is great as its point and click and away you go...

Hey friend hope it all goes well for you... about the divorce but I understand what you are saying. Also later this year I am going to be making my trip down there by bike though with slightly less Km's than your Golf... Let me know your route through Austria as if you are making an overnight stop here I may be able to make a trip to meet you... Good luck on your trip and I hope it heals a few wounds or at least allows some closure. As to when you go back good luck with that as well I hope it works out for you and that it helps you... Enjoy the trip and leave some slivovic for me when I get there... Take care
