  1. You know in the southern states...

These are actual comments made by South Carolina Troopers that were taken off their car videos: 1. "You know, stop lights don't come any redder than the one you just went through." 2. "Relax, the handcuffs are tight because they're new. They'll stretch after you wear them a while." 3. "If you take your hands off the car, I'll make your birth certificate a worthless document." (My Favourite) 4. "If you run, you'll only go to jail tired." 5. "Can you run faster than 1200 feet per second? Because that's the speed of the bullet that'll be chasing you." (LOVE IT) 6. "You don't know how fast you were going? I guess that means I can write anything I want to on the ticket, huh?" 7. "Yes, sir, you can talk to the shift supervisor, but I don't think it will help. Oh, did I mention that I'm the shift supervisor?" 8. "Warning! You want a warning? O.K, I'm warning you not to do that again or I'll give you another ticket." 9. "The answer to this last question will determine whether you are drunk or not. Was Mickey Mouse a cat or a dog?" 10. "Fair? You want me to be fair? Listen, fair is a place where you go to ride on rides, eat cotton candy and corn dogs and step in monkey poop." 11. "Yeah, we have a quota. Two more tickets and my wife gets a toaster oven." 12. "In God we trust; all others we run through NCIC." ( National Crime Information Center ) 13. "Just how big were those 'two beers' you say you had?" 14. "No sir, we don't have quotas anymore. We used to, but now we're allowed to write as many tickets as we can." 15. "I'm glad to hear that the Chief (of Police) is a personal friend of yours. So you know someone who can post your bail." AND THE WINNER IS.... 16. "You didn't think we give pretty women tickets? You're right, we don't. Sign here."

  10. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiley_Post First solo pilot After the record-setting flight, Post wanted to open his own aeronautical school, but could not raise enough financial support because of doubts many had about his rural background and limited formal education. Motivated by his detractors, Post decided to attempt a solo flight around the world and to break his previous speed record. Over the next year, Post improved his aircraft by installing an autopilot device and a radio direction finder that were in their final stages of development by the Sperry Gyroscope Company and the United States Army. In 1933, he repeated his flight around the world, this time using the auto-pilot and compass in place of his navigator and becoming the first to accomplish the feat alone. He departed from Floyd Bennett Field and continued on to Berlin where repairs were attempted to his autopilot, stopped at Königsberg to replace some forgotten maps, Moscow for more repairs to his autopilot, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk for final repairs to the autopilot, Rukhlovo, Khabarovsk, Flat where his propeller had to be replaced, Fairbanks, Edmonton, and back to Floyd Bennett Field. Fifty thousand people greeted him on his return on July 22 after 7 days, 18 hours, 49 minutes[2][3] - 21 hours less than his previous record, and he was given a second ticker-tape parade in New York. 11. Hey CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox News!

Hell I am English and I am sick of hearing about it... thankfully I live in Austria now... but the crazy thing is here a lot of women have asked me what I think of it and are aghast at my comment. "Let them have the child in peace and don't make it a big thing" Granted I am somewhat of a Royalist but I am sick and tired of hearing about Royal whatstherename doing something... If it is worthy of the news then so be it but popping a sprog out as if she is the only woman on the planet able to do so well... AND Dave remember we can come and take the colonies back... yeah right... and to the due process of your elections for President well thats does seem a farce to non-Americans as well just like the dizzy tart with the sword... and hey she was a hot girl that dizzy tart makes all the difference...
  12. No they had them outfitted to carry Magic I's
  13. As has been said the Argentine's would never had chanced the possibility of an invasion if the UK had maintained a full carrier, even one full carrier and a Herme's or even the CVA01 which would have also carried AEW as well in the shape of a Gannet or even Hawkeye's with F-4's and Bucc's would have destroyed the Argentinan Navy with ease and then following it up with a very effective Air Embargo placing a pair of F-4's with a Buccaneer Tanker with AWAC Support would have made sure that no C-130's etc would have got through at night and as for the attacks on Falklands sound they would have been destroyed as well. For the UK it would have been all win for the Argentine's it would have been all lose...
  14. Not a good one to hear Wrench of the Terrain...
  15. This Is Sick

It does look pretty but it is downplayed to a console... I would love them to create a few first person shooters with this sort of idea for PC's first and then dumb them down to console level. And this would include the next version of Fallout...!!! As nice as it looks on the console's there is just so much more that can be done on a PC... but its the mass HerpDerper's who use only a console that they aim stuff like this at...
  16. ZBot Trojen

  19. How to deal with a Sniper in Vietnam...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2345454/Incredible-Vietnam-War-photos-moment-American-troops-unleash-hell-Viet-Kong-sniper-hills-Army-camp.html Okay I know its the Daily Mail but here are some great pictures from Vietnam...
  20. How to deal with a Sniper in Vietnam...

As one of those types of gentlemen but out of service now (I finished my service in 2000) I resemble that article... but yes you are correct but one sniper can hold down 1000 men within the area he/she is covering... but remember that a sniper also goes for the highest rank and works his way down... a private is not worth the round but a Warrant Officer and all officers are... and the thing that is most feared is a helicopter and that is any helicopter because if they can spot you they can hit you or call in Arty... which is just not fair... as to a tank you can take out the optics forcing them to go heads out and take the shots on the crew from there...
  21. Great idea but keep at as a Libyan vs Egypt... if you need any help give me a shout...
  22. Design came out in May 1982 and was sent to the Falklands in August 1982 with HMS Illustrious... rather quickly done. Though it was a lash up job and was affected by land and waves it worked enough that Sea Harriers could run intercepts more efficently than before :- http://www.spyflight.co.uk/seaking.htm For more details...
  23. Okay with regards the Skyhawks as sparrow shooters thats not going to work also Skyflash is the same as a Sparrow SAHM, though there were options designed for it for the RAF instead of Amraam to be made AHM but even then you would need a radar to guide them into the area which for 1970's tech may be too much. As to the Jets A-4M would work great or get them to rebuild the A-4F fleet with a small AA radar capable of guiding a SAHM missile for example the AN/APG-69 which was designed with the F-5E/F-20 (Navalised variants of those might be a good idea) in mind as the A-4F's were still in use until the 1980's and call in the marines to provide strike ability ? As to the OV-10 and using the FLIR it is one of the sensors onboard ASW aircraft anyway. Then use the back of the OV-10 for a sensor operator and say a small area for sonubouy's along with a MAD Stinger mounted like on the S-2F Helicopter say from the gun rack and all finished... Though an S-2 would be a much better bet and is already CARQual and geared for the job. As to AEW if it was 2000+ an Osprey would be idea but back then there's not much out there apart from the E-1 as I think the Hawkeye would be too big to work... And now here comes the weird bit do we have a Fairey Gannet AEW3? as the RN would be giving up those with the scrapping of Ark Royal in 1978 and all you need to do is replace the Old Radar with something newer... or even bigger stretch the A-1 Sykraider ??? I know the Scooter and the Raiders would be overworked etc but its the best you would have at that time... Also with the 1980's with the Bae Hawks/Goshawk there is the option for the single seater Hawk 200 with same setup but with a modified F-16 radar on the pointy end and for ground attack the Hawk 100 2 seater with flir and all the kit for killing ships and ground targets...
