  3. If you are new to SF2 you should read the Knowledge Base and especially this http://combatace.com...the-mod-folder/ before add something. In general, the process is very easy. You put aircrafts to aircrafts mod folder, decals to decals mod folder and so on but you need to know what is the "Mod Folder".

  5. Is there any way to replace the stock callsigns (Gopher, Tuna, Kingfish, etc) with others? Is there any .ini file that has to be edited for that reason? Thanks.

  7. Inside nations.ini (extract it from flight folder from your installation directory) you can see under each nation the line PilotNameList=NamesXXX.lst. This line tells to game where to look for the available callsigns for each air force. Of course, stock game includes only US call signs, so all air forces use it by default. If you want to create a callsign which will be used all the time, I guess you have to delete the other ones inside callsignus.lst and keep only one. But if you do this, every flight should use the same name, so you have to create an another callsignXX.lst Create an .lst file, name it as you like, drop it into flight folder (of your mods directory), open it and add these lines: [DefaultCallsign] XXX <--- Put here the name you like [GroundCallsign] Delta 47 Echo 77 Gulf 88 Hotel 45 Kilo 52 Mike 83 November 90 Papa 34 Sierra 68 Tango 61 Victor 14 Zulu 29 [ReconCallsign] Kodak [FACCallsign] Snoopy Probably it's gonna work but you need to edit the subtitles.srt and change the .wav files cause you will hear the stock ones while in the screen you will see the one you selected. After this don't forget to assign the nation with your new callsign.lst. (described at the top of the post)

  11. I didn't know that AIM-7C wasn't operational although I've never read something like that. Speaking about sparrow, do you believe that the stock versions have higher kill probability than the real ones? AIM-7E is the only one with a very low ratio but all others (AIM-7E-2, AIM-7F, AIM-7M) have surprisingly higher ratio. Even the most advanced versions (AIM-7M/P) have an estimated Pk=0.4 although in SF2 this number is higher. Of course, missile effectiveness can be limited by Noise and CM Rejection in Weapons Editor. In an effort of making SF2 more realistic, maybe you can edit the new sparrows behave more like the real ones. Just a thought.

  15. Baltika is right. I searched for this line inside blizzardeffect.ini but didn't find it, so I just added the line under [blizzardMaterial] and it works.
  16. Here's an old screenshot in which you can see how dense is the snowfall when using this effect. Did it look like this, the effect in your installation? Same here. I am pretty sure that I installed this effect long time ago in SF2 and as far as I can remember, it worked fine. Problem is that it doesn't work any more at least in my installation. Maybe the latest patches of the game include changes which cancel effect's installation.
  17. Open F-5E_data.ini and search for the line animation. This line will tell you which is the keyboard combination for opening the canopy. Usual combination is Shift + 1 or Shift + 0.

  19. I guess that the active date line in the target area data affects the SAM type which will appear in the game. However how can I choose a specific type of SAM to appear? If for example the active date of a SAMLauncher is set to 01/01/1965 the game will choose SAMs which were operational after this date? In this case all SAMs can be selected varied from SA-2 to SA-17. What edits have to be made so that I can choose to appear the SAM system I want?
