Well, telling the basic story in a different way is one thing (Río Bravo and El Dorado), but when you start messing with the characters too... well, that's different. Problem is: you don't want to make an A-team style movie? OK, then be honest and tell that story with other name and characters, otherwise people might think (and I'm not sure they'd be wrong) you are offering one thing and actually giving other.

"re-interpret" as in "turn the hero into the villain" you mean? I'm not sure fans of "Mission:Impossible" or "SWAT" liked that idea either (as SWAT fan I didn't like it at all). Anyway, I think they should keep the original timeline (Vietnam veterans in the middle/late 80's).

Perhaps that was their plan all along. That or they were a gang of daltonic pirates and they didn't see it was a grey ship. I mean, except color, it doesn't look so different from any other cargo ship (I think)

Probably to make people think "This is not a console game" -

I think we should ask wether the USAF configuration improved something, since Phantom was developed by US Navy. Btw, Iam not so sure about all USAF Phantoms having double command I think only F4C and F4D had it. About RAF Phantoms, they were based on US Navy Phantoms, so I think they had the US Navy configuration.

That's not only an american problem, it happens to all air forces. Remember that, in the Battle of Britain, Luftwaffe pilots claimed more british fighters than RAF actually had. Of course, there are also the opposite, planes that are shot down and not claimed because the pilot didn't see them crash.

E2C Hawkeye Jet?

Something with longer range might be needed. I mean, How many AMRAAMs can you really lock and shoot since the targets enter shooting range (40-50 miles) until they reach your position? Btw, speaking of big interceptors, I forgot YF-12.

Tornado F3 is a bomber interceptor, so I think high manouverability was'nt very important in its design. With that in mind, what about an interceptor version of the TSR? It may sound a little ludicrous, but I've read about plans for an interceptor B-58, and, of course, there was the Tupolev 128 (bigger than both, TSR and Aardvark if my memory is not fooling me)

Make it two trolls then, because I totally agree with Unknown pilot on that. My country was part of the front line for almost 800 years, you know.

You've forgotten the funniest part. You know, when you buy the "whatever movie" DVD and one of the trailers wasting your time is the... "whatever movie" trailer. (Ok, only happened to me once with a VHS movie, but why not with DVD too? )

Aquí va una foto que no es de un simulador (si es obligatorio que sean de simuladores, avisadme y la cambio)

The millenium Falcon, of course. -
Terrorist in traininig. Yes, their supporters (too many in Spain, even among those who say they don't like terrorism) say it's not the same; but those street riots (planned by ETA people) are essentially the first step for future terrorists. About political support for these "people" , I only mentioned mr. Giscard because, if I had to say my opinion on our own politicians :angry2: (actually, 1/1000th of my opinion) I'd be banned for ever from this forum (or any civilized place) for foul language

Actually, I had already seen pictures of Warthogs with those big fuel tanks. A pity I don't have them here to post (they were on a book I cannot findright now)
