because regardless of what party is overall in charge of the government, this isnt Full Metal Jacket in the 1960s or even how life was in the 1990s (where yours truly started thinking his name might be shithead 3 weeks in. Actually got called by my last name after qualifying expert on the range). the Army (and all the branches really) are struggling to get new bodies in the door. so, yeah make it not so intimidating on the front end which is what the 99% that doesnt serve primarily thinks of. meanwhile trust me, all "new Army is weak" comments aside, the drills still have plenty of methods to put some stress on the young recruits. might prep them bettter for the real Army, since that is the slick BS corrective trainings. outside Basic and AIT, you either really have to fuck up or have a dickhead leader to get yelled at. Most NCOs are much much more ....... creative. i always liked the one attributed to some German officer (even though we all know its a false attribution) "The American Army excels at war because war is chaos, and the Americans practice chaos everyday" last part sums up working for Uncle Sam perfectly.

Coast Guard ships?
daddyairplanes replied to dsawan's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
it would be nice for the Texas and American South west terrains, as well as Cuba. but then you would need to add some narco boats for them to intercept in addition to the missile boats most would have in those terrains -
from what i hear yes. the actual translation on that is that the folks that work in an office(clerks, higher level command staff) will wear it all the time, the folks that work in a shop (mechanics, cooks) hardly at all and those that have reason to be in a motor pool (damn near everyone else) not very often, but with inspections of the uniforms more often than i like. even more than all the time, i hope they make this mandatory for official travel and public appearances. being on The Price is Right in ACUs is just tacky........... oh and by all the time i mean the Class B version. the full dress As as you have shown will be for travel, inspection, ceremonies or court martials. example of Class Bs below, although i find it hard to believe Dept of the Army actually kept it simple

90s throwback night "gotta find a way, a better way, id better wait" "Red beans and rice didn't miss her" "DJ Soul was on a roll, I been told he can't be sold" "I know that you're gonna have it your way or nothing at all" "You don't like my point of view, you think that I'm insane" "Too much trippin' and my soul's worn thin" "Call my name through the cream, And I'll hear you scream again" 5000 internet points for getting the main theme, 10000 if you can name all the songs (okay a couple are outside the theme). FB friends, no cheating -
Tips for dogfightiing in the FGR2?
daddyairplanes replied to Chugster's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
not to mention the local Site Serf has done much to keep this website out of legal trouble, i doubt he'd blow that history on being the West Coast Julian Assage anything published by the USG is free use (pubs, pics, audio and video) cant say about other nations. of course all are subject to clearance, like the abouve mentioned F-35 manuals. but pre 1980 on any airframes/non nuclear weapons that have been retired are safe to assume as usable on my own thoughts, this is a good idea, does anyone have access to things like Bunyaps(?) tutorials for bombing. i remember seeing this years ago just cant rememberthe details (Oh Wrench!)but they would make for a good addition to this espescially being WOx/SF2 specific -
Model tips...
daddyairplanes replied to russouk2004's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
not quite sure what youre getting at for effects without afterburner. most engine lines (everyone i recall seeing) have an afterburner entry in the ini. related yet probably totally different, to simulate the water injection on the B-52s i made a super dense exhuast effect (as well as long) then set it as the afterburner effect to kick in at 98% thrust within the data ini. probably not what your talking about so could you clarify for inquiring minds what you did? i always thought effects were an ini not model think looks wicked and would be nice as an intermediate between dead engine and afterburners (thinking of most any take off video in existence) -

i'll say this now: dont release in 2020 the way its been going , you release it, it will show on the CA download section about 30 seconds before Snake Plisken hits code 666 (triggering a global EMP and wiping out all technology for those that havent seen the movie)- 471 replies

US B-52 buzzing by two Russian jets
daddyairplanes replied to Nesher's topic in Military and General Aviation
sadly in the 21st Century the US press would. remember a big to do about a "Russian spy ship" off the east coast waiting on a carrier group that was deploying a year ago. 30 years ago it would be called a trawler, and might not even make the ships news. -

Question about close formation flying...
daddyairplanes replied to Muesli's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
oh my, the dreaded 7 engine landing on a serious note, there is a formation ini that can be tweaked. but its a global thing (Soviet Fighter, US Bomber, not MiG-21 or B-52) and not likely the issue here -

Decal troubles
daddyairplanes replied to LilLucy's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
LilLucy, congrats on being one of the few that changes the game to what you want (otherwise known as modding) rather than asking others for the change. that said.. take the time to look through both the knowledge base and previous threads. theres alot of info from near a decade (yeah i just said it) of SF2 modding and even longer of base Thirdwire modding. there is even possibly the very mods you are looking for buried in threads or Download sections takes time, but is well worth it. -
Mustang and nape
daddyairplanes replied to RustyKurnass's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
years on your nape match years on Mustang, years in Korea? do the Nations match (ie could nape be USN rather than USAF)? is the weight of the nape lower than the max weight of that wing station? -
