WIP Mega THREAD!
daddyairplanes replied to ErikGen's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
true, but you have to either add dozens of very small patterns onto one jpg, or dozens of small patterns onto one huge jpg. either way can be time consuming i am guessing youre talking about Rends Germany not stock Gepard:vehicle traffic would depend on what your main use of terrain would be. for a future US-Canada war low traffic would be fine. but in and around suburbs and major cities, you'd want alot of traffic if it was peace time or long range war with Russia. take enough vehicles to boggle the European mind, double that then add three. thats how much you should have on the smaller towns yes we Americans love our cars and it would take alot IRL for us to give em up. but i fully understand if you choose nto to populate the terrain with them. -

well the Navy version didnt have enough thrust to be a fighter but i'd say teh Air Force did well employing it as a fighter bomber -
EF-4C and the fake pilot ER-142
daddyairplanes posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
hello, working up a skin for Spang EF-4Cs and noticed the weasel parts were missing a look through the data ini reveals the following mssg //er142 removed due to it's not fitting correctly at inner pylons & tailcone// bringing it back it is as such magic question is : is there a way to remove the pylons via hex editor? it never was a strong suite of mine and is weaker from a few years of non use alternate question is does anyone have the max file for the ER-142 "pilot", and would they be willing to post a new one sans Shrike racks? really great resolution would be one of our modellers doing a new fake pilot model for this, but i dont want to push it too far there any ideas? -

no worries, sh....tuff happens. hell, you know i have several people look over my stuff before release and its just simple skins typically. yet i just recently found a mistake in mine after checking somebody elses for them (they were using templates i've jimmy'd up). this is CA, not walmart or mcdonalds. we dont freak, we fix and move on -

oh, no. no they wont. the result when i tried just renaming texture and moving what i did on the stock C into there was...... hilarious its as close to a TW C model as a Super Hornet is to a legacy Hornet irl (actually a good comparison i think) -

daddyairplanes replied to daddyairplanes's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
no, i wont be doing that one. i would say get me a model and i'll do it, but then i might get surprised like i did with the EF-4C. but im fairly certain that no one has a model of that one. sorry as it is, i'll be calling the EF-4C done after the initial service introductions with the Indiana Air Guard -
trial subscription questions
daddyairplanes replied to abrahamwright2201's topic in Site Support / Bug Reports / Suggestions
since the amount of people making multiple accounts and downloading dozens of files per day drove the costs for the site through the roof. Erik couldnt let it go full on free for much longer without having to shut the site down oh and i will question your math, as most currency conveters as of todays post say 6.95 is about 5.60 pound. still about the price of a cheaper fast food meal for one, but now you gotta be thoughtfull about what you want and not download willy nilly. -

i think they look ok from the side (not great but not terrible either). my only issue is the size. most of the trees that big in the midwest got chopped down nearly two centuries ago -
