  1. F-15 Retirement.....

i thought we sold those to Jordan late 90s
  2. F-15 Retirement.....

SuperBugs wont happen unless the head honcho forces it down the AFs throat. Notice even teh F-35 comes in naval and air force flavors despite the fact it would have been cheaper to create a naval variant and land base it. as for the Raptor, Lockmart was supposed to have kept the tool and documented how to use them. now that some are talking about restarting the line it seems they cant find the tools iirc trotski the Eagle mk 2 would be the variants produced under the Strike Eagle family! just look up what S Korea and Saudia Arabia have been buying, then load out for A2A instead of A2G
  3. bull. someone tell him a passable MiG29 costs but a mere dollar...
  4. me thinks some are on the fence waiting for comments with their popcorn, others like me are cursing the ability of sites like TW and Steam to release in times of thinner money. (well ok i'm both)
  5. WHILE SUPPLIES LAST....

go to OReilly Auto Parts site http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/home.oap enter 121G into the parts search bar enter your area information for prices
  6. 25 Feb 1984... final operational flight of an F-105 anywhere occurs at Hill AFB Utah, with the Air Force Reserves' 466th TFS retiring their Thuds to receive F-16As...
  7. given TKs lack of PC support the last few years, and with the skill sets of those in the community (like Mue's LOD Viewer and other tools) what are the obstacles to creating our own exporter so that folks can use blender or newer versions of Max to add models in to the game? the biggest two obstacles it seems is the dwindling modeler population that has Max 2009 and the communities respect for not tearing apart teh game engine until it's officially abandonware. (yes i know many had looked and tinkered under the hood, but no mods yet improving what you found). if time and effort are the main obstacles to a newer exporter, why not get one going and revitalize the game with new modelling talent? or if there are bigger obstacles then what are they and can we work around them? its rather doubtful a new patch will come along this year to break the project whats your thoughts?
  8. awesome mue! i didnt want to ask given how much you've done already, but i have to admit you name was on my mind when i posted
  9. Mr Smith goes to Viet Nam BG James Stewart completed his final combat mission while flying as an observer on an Arc Light mission over Vietnam. BG Stewart enlisted as a private in the USAAC prior to Pearl Harbor. His college education and pilots license allowed him to be commissioned a 2LT six months later. Assigned to various training units, he constantly requested to join a combat unit. His request was finally granted and he flew his first combat mission in a B-24 in Jan 1943. Eventually in 1945 he was promoted to the rank of Colonel, rising to that rank from Private in just 4 years. He flew lead ship in missions over Germany until he was assigned as Commander 2d Bombardment Wing. After the war Stewart remained in the Air Corp and then the USAF as a reserve officer. He served as commanding officer of Dobbins ARB, and stayed current in the SAC bombers of the time. Brigadier General James Maitland Stewart retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1968. think on that next time you watch Its A Wonderful Life! information from Brian Swopes This Day in Aviation Site
  10. well also unfortuneatly Spudnockers first sentence is also likely accurate for the active players that are left. i've been working on learning what i can but the skill to create that sort of thing are in a galaxy far far away. and my name isnt Luke! and trotski, as i've seen not even so much newer shinier toys as much as RL and totally other genres.
  11. SP3 patch?

closest thing we get to a project 3 is available on what ever app store you prefer to use. barring a major shocker, any further PC development will be up to those still interested in modding
  12. SP3 patch?

    oh thats just mean....
  13. Airliners

how big is the skin? (512x512, 1024x1024 etc) usually bigger size shows details better. BUT it will also have an exponentially bigger file size.
  14. awesome! of course now i see the bulbous cylinders in the back compared with the -46s plainer landing gear sponsoon. still possiblitlies with the JASDF and Pan Am though
  15. awesome shots Kulbit, but the name of the game is this day in history. please repost in two months and two weeks meanwhile, on Valentines Day 1991... F-15E sn 89-0487 assigned to the 336th TFS launches a LGB. moments later it would impact a Mi-24 Hind attacking American Special Forces in Iraq, scoring the most unique kill of Operation Desert Storm
  16. of course my goofy butt wants to know if anymore work has been done on the HKP 4 series......
  17. also check out the Super Tweet if your into CAS missions.. http://combatace.com/files/file/16196-usaf-a-37b-pack/
  18. 9 February 1983: British Airways begins commercial operations of their 757 service
  19. Airliners

sorry for not following, been busy. cool that it's working but a question for Gerard and kfrge... does the decal folder still have to be in the aircrafts skin folder or totally separate like SF2? just wondering why no tga are showing in those screenshots
  20. what in the sweet baby jesus is that and how high a rating will the pilot get for hearing loss?!?!?!
  21. if you want temps for the Mirage Factory A-7D and K let me know, still have em from the ANG skinpack. smells like a ANG project with the requested airframes and all unit markings in that pack are decal so might help if im guessing right
  22. Airliners

ok, i dont remember and dont have the time for comparison til next week. the difference sounds like its in the data.ini, the model and skin were the same as in ODS. if anyone else has input feel free to chime in the Boeings are gettin my treatment in the paint shop to have multiple airlines on one skin. the 757 is currently WIP, the 747-100/200 will be later this year
  23. you sir are a master of metal, panels and rivets!
  24. also decals allow variation within one skin like Gepard's work with MiG-21s or my airliners and cargo birds. otherwise planes on tarmac are one skin type and unit
  25. Airliners

in theory, nothing. it was adapted from a Gen 1 model. its why i said let me know how it works the 757, and 747 might work also when i get them done. it takes less for Gen 1 to work in Gen 2 than the reverse.
