  1. Dont know what you intend but my two cents.... what ever skin is your primary, that will display on the ramps when generated by the game. If you want variety, rely heavliy on DecalLevel=2. This will allow Navy Squadrons to hve CAG birds with the regulars, or in my case each single skin to repesent many airlines. Its also good to remember for noseart (Wrench's WW2 birds , me Virginia ANG birds) The hardest part of it all is the decal.ini dance, that is getting it all lined up. Even with help from locating parts (and lights) in the data ini or mues lod viewer to only way to finalize is to plug in numbers, fire it up and observe. Make adjustments until complete. The first is a cast iron bitch, all others in that series are a matter of creating tgas once the placement is set. Final hint not in the KB bout making tga... you can build in layers just like a skin. If doing alot of intricate marking like US Navy birds or airliners, make one layer a guideline layer to help with your placement. I make mine red, visible at the edges of the control surface or JUST invisible onthe upper and lower edges of the fuselage sides. Again it helps it to fit in better. Just dont forget to make that layer invisible when you export the tga in gimp!!!!!
  2. ok chippin in my 4 cents here.... Right above the statements logan showed you belongs the statement DecalNumberRandomize=TRUE. also an observation , did you mean to have the NoseNum path set as AB212_ASW/ARVTail? or is it suposed to call out the ARV_BLUE subfolder? keeping the nosenums in there would make it tidier (esp as others come along and skin up their favorite navies) and also could be part of the problem, although it should call all 001...002 etc decals in order regardless of location. final bit on the first one blank..... (and i mention this cause i have done it before) check that you dont have a space above the first number. esp doing the airliners i edit my numbers.lst fairly frequently on a project and have forgotten some times then wonder why my 000s bird is blank in game. one other minor opinion (hey i did say 4 cents not 2 ) under the screen mesh on the tail, put a gray or some other color so it looks like its covering equipment not screen over orange. other than that looks very good sir!
  3. [starts music] .... the simmmpsonnsss.....

  8. OH-58 retires from US Army

Out if Simmons AAF. Drove by there many a time
  9. Like any other plane it had strengths and weaknesses. I think the Israelis would have used tactics similar to the North Vietnamese and the MiG-21..... zoom and boom to break up the formations then back home for more gas. They also would have put Shafrir 2s on em quick. One of the best IR AAMs before the 80s.
  10. transient ramp, NAS Keflavik. some time in the early 70s.....
  11. My interest always having been post nam and Europe, what squadron was OY again? Hyper simple fix in the squadrin list ini although im confused as TKs Phantom markings are VERY much centered around Vietnam. It was one of the things that got me into modding was the lack SJs, MYs and such.
  12. How can i unlock certain achievement for pissing off certain guy?

for some reason it is a pain to do so. but i just quit being a slick sleaver tonight hopefully....... correction. no it didnt take
  13. I try to work things to better than hollywood correct. that is to say that i won't be counting that a marking is exactly 117inches from a door, but that it looks roughly correct and that we are doing better than say the poster for the movie Thirteen Days. you know the one with the F-15s rushing forth during the Cuban Missile Crisis! when it becomes a chore, take a breather. it seems several of the old heads have taken breathers and come back later on with outstanding work. just release that 737 if you do take a breather (J/K!!!!!!!) oh and check pm tonight. will shoot you the progress from the Douglas paintshop......
  14. Help installing Janhans F-16C skins with lod editor F4AF

My first question.... did you fire the game up once with the new skins in the folder? Gotta do that before majorvchanges like new skins or name changes will show in the lod viewer
  15. In addition, he is partly responsible for my current trend of working airliners. I discovered the KC-10 in the Operation Desert Storm package, but it needed some updating. After getting Marcelo's permission to go forward I added Shamu and SAC white schemes to that bird as well as edited the boom off to make an DC-10 airliner. Then methods for having many airlines in one skin, thus branching out to other airliners. But none of that would have come about without one of marcfighters hidden gold nuggets.
  16. 1. The plane would never be called F-13. Official superstition avoidance. 2. The US bought em to screw with factory capacity and therefore the Mirage 4000!
  17. Check your Diameter, length and load limits in the data ini. Tge seem small to match tge weapon you are using
