Not hitting most major news yet it seems (meaning multiple source appearences, not just a CNN blurb at 2am) it will be interesting too see. Britain went to war an ocean away at a time when they really weren't a great power any more. China has aspirations of bring a great power so the response will be one to watch either way..... -

Advice on opening .eml files
daddyairplanes replied to Piecemeal's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Its not bad, but not the modrrn marvel of a wondrrous age MS promised either. 5 out of 9 systems in my house are now running 10, although my primary systrm has updates turned of so as to stay Win7. Loading SF2 on an upgraded system of my wife's that I took over. Definately a different setup than 7, but not necessarily bad. -

And the skin is gonna be bare blank metal....... As per my method the airlines are decals assigned to the number 2 level. That is, the airlines become the serial numbers -

yes oh ancient and wise(arsed) one, i was aware of that but my version sounded better than "i'm painting metal on before making decals" now to make the windows and doors, approxamately to scale -

takes a minute to strip all them funky test colors off and get back to bare metal. before you all ask red line is there to help me adjust the window and door tgas when ready. few more lines on the fuselage then on to the engines -

Personal preference: paint em. When reskinning for other airlines it makes it easier for minor variation and cargo conversions to be represented. Altough I tga most of the stuff on, it is helpful for the first skin to have tge windows so I can dial the scale in faster. But thats my preference -

Douglas DC-8?
daddyairplanes posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
There is a pair of skins in the Gen 1 dl section but cant find the bird itself here or at that other site. The skins are very old, is this on one of the other defunct sites? Yes, take a wild guess why I am interested :) -

Should work just to copo tge skin and drop it in the two seater folder. Minor position editing may be needed, but then again may not -
will it be stronger? more disaster proof and resilient? i'm talking Keith Richards, the cockroaches and CA after the nukes are flying

Trotski, expierences vary. I love photoshop enough to pay 12 dollars a month to use it. However, for tga work I still prefer to use Gimp, its what I learned with. Gimp is not super easy, but very handy once you know it -

Since you're checking in Erik, am I correct that different statuses garner different limits? Again the last time I went past 6 a day was a few years back, possibly when I had a subscription. But if my memory isnt screwy, I had a 3 dl per day limit as a newbie and it went up as I talked more in the forum. If I'm remebering wrong, well I am getting checked out by the VA for TBI............ -
welcome back! Now get yer banned from ateam patch (gotta set mine up too..)

I believe You can go above 6 aday as you participate more in discussions, and more still if you add mods of your own.Not totally sure but havent loaded more than 6 mods in a day for a couple years. But this is the best site for GOOD mods for the SF2 series. Idiot team has some birds not found here, but many FMs are wonky (amongst other issues) -

Sundowner that's interesting to hear, I've rebuilt a desktop outta two separate ones and swapped HDs on two separate laptops and updated all to Win 10. Generic drivers worked fine until I got Firefox up (didn't like IE and don't care for Edge)then connected the laptops with manufacturers sites and auto detect the drivers. The desktop is still on Win 10s generic drivers all except sound. That's my experience with it but at the moment only one system will be remotely close to a game system the others were for the kids to do school work or wife to do office work on. But that's just my experience.
