South Korea retires RF-4C
daddyairplanes replied to daddyairplanes's topic in Military and General Aviation
Turkey uses the E also i thought. esp got a bunch when germany retired theirs. the FB post that led me to this was from a Phantom phan group, and stated the last frontline RF-4Cs. the last drone conversions were RFs, but dont think that counts as frontline -

or anyone else that can assist. am working on Shamu skins for the KC-135 and KC-10s. gonna put unit markings on with the serials so there is a variety of units on the ramp, just like you would see most anywhere but home bases. but good images of tails from that era are proving hard to find on google and airliners.net. do you guys have or know of any good reference materials so i could go foreward with this? looking for around 6-8 active units, 3-4 reserve and as many ANG as can be found. was thinking this would be good for ODS or any other 80s thru early 90s scenarios we have, at least for the eye candy factor. TIA for any help you all can give -

been there. got some stuff, but specific to the Shamu skins is abit harder to find. not gonna go full throttle on it like my Phantoms, Thuds and SLUFs, but still wanted a good variety esp amongst teh ANG squadrons. most good pics are either from vietnam where its mostly the SAC badge or after they went all grey -

both instances are zaps by the squadrons the other plane visited. the colonial navy is when the RN worked up on the Saratoga while Ark Royal was refitting. the USMC one was a return of the favor i believe. -

Dhimari Desert Aggressors

awesome! and keeps in my belief that the Dhimaris would go simpler AF that they can maintain internally..... -
Planes value
daddyairplanes replied to Hans Topp's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
i dont care much for the buy your own gear in games. reals mercs would be paid salaries, plus in the case of a wealthy country like Dhimar be outfitted with the planes and munitions. Barrett Tillmans book Warriors is a much better example of how the Dhimaris should have gone rather than how it goes in game IMHO -
Is anyone (else) working on 2048 templates for the TW F-14A?

Anyone else notice how he kept knocking F-35s down? Only way to deal with an overgrown mutant raptor is a Raptor. Then hit him with all the Hogs in the inventory. Nothing can withstand that much 30mm at once....

this year is not starting very well. my old landlord sold the house out from under us, and it went nasty enough that we had to move when he cut the power off (the bad part of utilities staying in his name, was good at the start of the lease because i didnt haveto shell out 600 bucks to get it turned on). went to move to raleigh and this landlord signed a lease on payment of first months rent back on the 5th. he took the lease to "make copies" , then said he would not give us the lease until we paid the deposit. when we paid that and got hte lease back, he had cut the signatur portion off, and pencilled in a whole bunch of changes! i am currently trying to et a hold of the rental division of hte AG's office to look over both the lease, and the landlord himself. one thing that sticks in my mind from the conversation friday night is him saying "oh i've never had to evict anyone, they all just seem to leave." please pray for my family while we try to figure out just where we will be living.

I Need A Project To Do
daddyairplanes replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I have the habit, developed from from when i had my old Compaq w/o much HD space, of doing abunch of decals rather than the skins. Save space tho it is alot of small files to look thru. It also allows for changes over the years, esp. With USN units. While i was teasing, look at my approach to skins. When i do it, itry to include EVERYONE that flew that bird. So yes i will likely do it, but given real life constraints that wont happen for at least a year. PLUS i am talking stock skins anyhow, where i gather you are not. -
