Eyes of USAFE: RF-4C Phantom IIs in Europe 1978-1991 A TMF Rebuilt skin pack This skinpack brings the Photo Phantoms of the 10th Tac Recon Wing and 26th Tac Recon Wing during their operations in Germany and the UK. It covers the various specific versions and camoflage schemes from the late 1970s until the end of the types service in USAFE in 1991 NOTE: Desert Storm skins for the 38th TRS are not available at this time (July 2024). Required A functional copy of any Strike Fighters 2 game except for SF2 North Atlantic (the only one without a native F-4 destroyed model) The aircraft from the TMF Rebuilt RF-4C Late set, available here: https://combatace.com/files/file/18263-late-model-rf-4cs-photo-phantoms-after-vietnam/ Included Skins for two different aircraft models, Decals for those skins Installation Unzip file, add Objects folder to desired mod folder. Allow overwrites, some features of the 1st TRS '83 skin/decals are present in the original aircraft folder ************************************************************************************************************************************************** NOTE!! This mod is not covered by the CombatAce Freeware Licensing agreement. What this means is that you can only use this mod for your own use, you CANNOT re-upload it or any part of it unless it is part of a full terrain package after you ask me or a TMF member for permission. ************************************************************************************************************************************************ Credits -The Mirage Factory the very original aircraft (see TMF Readme) -daddyairplanes skins, tgas, multiple ini edits -Menrva, NightshadeP/R testing. Nightshade often shows me my errors in screenshots he's just sharing for fun, while Menrva helps me with the more technical aspects -Sundowner, ravenclaw_007, yakarov79 and daddyairplanes templates are a mix of layers as contributed by these four. compiled in current form by daddyairplanes About The Mirage Factory Rebuilt Back in the early days of Wings Over series modding The Mirage Factory, lead by bpao was the peak of modding excellence. Many of their models are still heavily in use today, 15 years later and still amongst the very best. This despite the team not creating any new mods since the passing of Oliver Anguille in 2009. But time does move on, and the next generation of modders have ideas, techniques and tools not available back then. With the help of some of the original modellers (who have copies of the original max files) we can update these fine aircraft for the 2020s. Rebuilt for new terrains and campaigns that were just hopeful wishes over a decade ago. The Mirage in the logo is camoflaged, much like the real aircraft in later service. The "HD" has been replaced with "Rebuilt" as what was HD in the 2010s is jsut standard today. Finally, the new logo thanks Oli, both for the aircraft that are still relevant today and for the inspiration he's given to the modders that followed him. on behalf of The Mirage Factory (original and rebuilt) I thank you for downloading this mod, and hope you enjoy it. What was the name of the 'All inclusive' mod?
daddyairplanes replied to Chugster's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
the main thing that comes to mind when you say "All Inclusive Install" and SF2 is the big packs from DAT most involved WW2, but his latest ones focus on conflict with Indonesia -

if they didnt get it until the mid 80s, then it could just be the Mitsubishi F-21J Komainu. Mitsubishi tended to get the first few aircraft built wherever, then a few kits and then built the other 90% themselves. F-21 rather than C2 keeps inline with American designation conventions (as they did even with their indigenous designs) but yeah, those would be fun to skim over the ocean with....... -
showing label as a dot mod
daddyairplanes replied to mue's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Stratos guessed it was a no after zero response in 24 hours i merely pointed out that the lack of a response didnt indicate a fully negative response but expressed it in a shorter, funnier way -
showing label as a dot mod
daddyairplanes replied to mue's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
not necessarily a no. just not a yes my guess however, is that the labels apply to targetable vehicles, while AAMs/SAMs are considered ammo and thus dont get labels -

Metrea to Operate 5th Largest Tanker Fleet
daddyairplanes replied to daddyairplanes's topic in The Pub
they dont go into harms way each civilian tanker handling routine training or scheduled trans oceanic fighter drags frees up military crews and airframes for the hot zones plus probably 90% of their people are retired 135 people anyhow. doing the same job, but for much better pay. given how tanker crews have beenin the past, im not to worried about them taking chances to save a recievers butt and finally, you gotta admit their schemes look damn cool. i cant wait to see what they do with the new birds -

you know, i know that that is supposed to be "AG". but the way its laid out on the tail, at very first i thought it was "CA" and wondered when the site had its own air wing mandatory screenie or "whats the fine for buzzing the tower in Serbia?" -

between half and 3/4's of my FB usage is research. you wouldnt believe how many USAF unit veteran groups im a member of... that said, it also leads to my news feed popping up with whats new in the world of mil aviation, not just the old stuff. my understanding is that it was always a joint program. i dont know if there's issues or not tho; literally everything i can find on it for the last two years has been about the USAF version. nothing about Navy my wondering stems from that silence combined with this. but the AIM-260 is being handled almost the same as nukes when it comes to secrecy.....
