Quick question
daddyairplanes replied to Rapadelic's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
i know he's working something involving Chicago. whether it will be big enough to include NYC is another question tho. an eastern seabaord terrian would be interesting esp for around 1962. if set in the 80's you would need a Chuck Norris groundobject with invincible armor rating!!! -
because spouting the first thing we see/hear blindly forms the basis for 90% of debate in most western democraies!

Welcome to the War Yanks!
daddyairplanes replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
you know in regards to anti american Europeans, i noticed during my 3 year stint in Germany that the older generations tended to appreciate and get along with us Yanks while the younger generation for whom WWII and the Cold War were lessons in a history book tended to dislike and pick the fights with us. not just Germans, but french English and most other nationalities. as for our timing yea we mightve been late to the first two big shindigs, thats why we stick around to be first in line for the next big bar fight! btw due to previous experiences with the french military, no i didnt forget to capitalize them -

@ Dave and so when exactly can we expect the Gen2 C model Viper (he said drooling on himself) @ Spinners whats up with your whif site? it seems to not let guests in any more to view the backstories on your work. hopefully yer admins there let my request to join thru, since the backstories are my fav part of your releases. after getting the Mig-23 to use up his energy circling me while i took potshots with the pod i used my most effective weapon.... radios! finally @veltro2k, since when does the Oscar Duece have radar? -
No campaign folder
daddyairplanes replied to DEVIL11's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
devil11, 1 you will need to use a cat extractor to pull the campaign files for any campaign you wish to mod. for ANY folder you wish to have in your mods folder you will have to make it if you dont see it there already. (stomps floor twice) if you dont see it you will have to make it. also this info can be found in the Knowledge Base. http://combatace.com/topic/44798-adding-aircraft-to-campaigns-in-sf2/ -

AIM-4 performance
daddyairplanes replied to PraetorH's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
ONLY reason i have AIM-4 in my game is cause i want my F-102 and 106 in game. beyond that i pulled a COL Olds and got those G$#$@ned things off of my birds. Ini edits are a beautiful thing! -
SF2 Series DACT Reports And Related A2A Discussions (Game only)
daddyairplanes replied to EricJ's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
very true, given that if presented the chance from the TW politicians, most crews will shoot the migs a$$ off at maximum Sparrow or Slammer range and not dogfight! then again im thinkin along the lines that fighters make movies, while bombers make history! -

Aircraft Skinning
daddyairplanes replied to raymin's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
there are F-4B and E templates in the SF2 download section as well. you could always start with those and figure out some of the basics( adding tailcodes, decal placement) -
NF4 issues?
daddyairplanes replied to Emp_Palpatine's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
also with your Mig15, check and see if its using the addon for NF4 or the stock one. if its the add on just move the pilot back in the data ini. info on how to follow if needed. if its the stock should work just fine. -
here's an idea......
daddyairplanes replied to daddyairplanes's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
new idea along this road. post Airlift, towards the end of 1949. the tools and dies for Fw190, lets say the Dora and Me262 are gone. but the US and UK have several of the aircraft and whereabouts on the engineers. way back in the American and Brit sectors factories pop up as the aircraft are reverse engineered to develop the industrial base needed to put these aircraft back into production. of course some changes are made for the new circumstanses and developments over the last 4 years. 2 20mm canon in both birds, the 190 for CAS and the 262 for interception duties. however the Me will need a new engine. i think it was Galland who said he'd be unbeatable in a Avon powered 262? and as not to completely botch the timeline as occurred they would be under Allied control as an air arm of the BGS. hmmm..........
