  1. early S works just fine in gen 2. as for my probs with the N, it don't help that i only had WOE in gen 1 tho no i know why i have the probs with it. some more on r/l Phantoms.. the leading edge flaps inboard were fixed after Project BEELINE. outboard should still work. BEELINE converted B's into N's, J's into S's(for Slats!)
  2. in regards to your J model all i did was to take the J out of SF2V , add a skin from the download section, and tweak the data ini so it would take brit as well as usn weapons. in real life they were the exact same except for wiring to accept Skyflash and the paint job. the Brit Aircrews even had to use USN flying gear until a year before the J's were retired. as for the N i havent gotten that to work yet in mine.

    had something tag on with an mp3 file this afternoon. had to do the complete nuclear system restore... save nothing on HD. but............ i backed up the system files and my mod folders this weekend. only thing i lost in game was Veltros C-17 and a belgian skin for the Hunter F6. heres to learning the eay way

  10. im still working on a Euro 1 skin for the Gen 2 Phantoms using a global decal folder instead of putting the squadrons markings right on the skin. tailcodes are coming along nicely but when i try to add wing/ squadron badges ala the EF-4C i either get no shows or the squadron shows but the fuselage goes white. [Decal022] MeshName=fuselage_P DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=LEFT FilenameFormat=F4BLACK/D/wing Position=4.00,-0.0 Rotation=0.0 Scale=0.70 DecalMaxLOD=3 [Decal023] MeshName=fuselage_P DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=F4BLACK/D/sqn Position=4.00,-0.0 Rotation=0.0 Scale=0.70 DecalMaxLOD=3 this has the decals no showing if i change the decal level to 1 or 2 the fuselage goes white. the decals are in a folder as named in the ini and named for the unit (sqn042.tga, sqn043.tga etc). the skin im using is the stock USAF Green skin from WOE but with chaff, flare and few other pieces cut and pasted from SF2E's skin so they dont show white in game. most of sqn and wing tgas in my decal folder for this start life as png's from Wiki before being sized and converted in GIMP. what am i missing here

    well i already have the tgas placed in my folder. my fix to be done on staff duty this sunday is to place the insignia on the skin rather than have it as a decal. that should free up the room for my sqn and wing badges. updates on progress on monday

    sure enough gents there are already 2 decals on the fuselage_p mesh. i can take the LV insignia and apply it right to the skin freeing up another spot for my badges. as for the numbering sequence the patches are set up for the in game sequence of units (042= 334TFS, 4TFW) thanks for the help guys

    the wing side, decal level 1 the squadron side, decal level 1 shots with decal level set to 0. new tgas shouldn't be the issue as i made the tailcodes for moody/ 347th tfw. what am i missing?
  14. sorry as for adding carriers here is the link to the post Wrench sent me. it was for SF2E but you should be able to do it up for SF2 easy enough scrool all the way to the bottom http://forum.combatace.com/topic/52106-davehelp/page__p__379309&?do=findComment&comment=379309 as for FG1s they are in the british Phantom super pack released a month or so ago http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=10640 the Knowledge base will tell you how to convert planes or ground objects over its so easy i can do it i had to post about carriers because the accompanying photos of ini edits are missing. i hope that helps you @ spinners Sweet skin!
  15. ok no known desert skin for RAF Phantoms. The RAF would not have flown off the ARK Royal but in 72 the Ark was still flying FG1's in Navy Blue. as for placing the carrier i got some help from Wrench on that will shoot you a link to the post at lunch.

  18. dhimar would be a sort of Saudi like empire so some F-15s wouldnt be unrealistic. of course Iran bouoght Tomcats while they were still counted amongst the good guys as well. petro-dollars open alot of doors!
  19. even with that he may not be able to give you exact info. not saying you are a terrorist or have any ill plans. but DOD installations have signs forbidding pics and drawings of certain areas for a reason. look at when google earth pulled all its images of US bases a few years back.

  23. F-4N and SF2E

    i've had similar problems trying to convert the F-4D LORAN. was so distracted by the tail sitting IN the runway i dont even remember if the towel bar was there. i also remember F-4N not even showing up for me last year. wasn't sure what was up but keep forgetting to ask about it. the F-4S works decently tho.
  24. as i have been told in the past you do not need the weapons pack if you have Nato Fighters. you take your chances with things running right if you go that route. i would do a seperate install for Nato fighters and if you want load the weapons pack on the orignal install.
  25. have you looked thru the various weapons packs? given all the ones out there im sure there should be something for you and if its in the wrong Gen for your needs the Knowledge Base should help you to convert over to the correct Gen you need
