i appreciate it fubar. has the patch for SF2I fixed any issues with mods that have been encountered? shouldn't affect NF4+ as thats going on the family desktop when we get home but i have two installs of SF2E on my laptop one fairly vanilla with some mods on my Phantoms and one that i'm loading many 50's era jets on to try something different. just tryin to have as few hiccups as poss when i load a new series on.

i dont know the exact numbers involved but being listed as a new member you will have a low download limit. the more you post the higher your rank in the community will be and the more you can download. another route is to get a subscription if you can afford that i think its only 6 or 7 USD. i notice that youve been with us since 2004 but only have 11 posts. if thats not right you might wanna get with the admins to fix it. hope this help you out.

hey all that real life thing is a beast. shot home on emergency leave last week due to some bad ju ju on the home front. getting it worked on its better than it was two weeks ago. but with my unit due back in the very beginning of the year this means i am done with the middle east. dont expect to be on much over next few weeks while i help mama get better but whatever the circumstances it does feel good to be home.

i believe ships are treated in game as ground objects look that up in the Knowledge Base try applying it and should help you out

yes terrians work fine in 2nd gen sims. with a little tweaking you can make it act just like a stock terrain. remember to put it into a terrain file in your Mods folder (savedgames/thirdwire/strikefighters2/terrains). in your xxx.ini (snowynorway.ini for Snowy Norway example) make sure the line about catfile points to the cat file for the stock terrian of whatever sim you are running (desert, vietnam, GermanyCE) or the runways will not show up when you fly.

xclusiv8 how much FPS boost? with advance shaders and d3dx9_31.dll in my flight folder i get avg 12-15 graphics and 30-45 game. always on the lookout for more.

cant find anything on F-4F ICE having HUD as part of the upgrade tho. damn my sucko internet and library being at home!

yup DAVE hit it on the head for operational birds. F-4E Kurnass's were also fitted with a Kaiser HUD as part of their upgrade (for you guys with WOI)

depends on a couple of things. whats your settings on? and what terrian are you using? your stteings need to have most things on the ground on at least high i found for the parked birds to show tho they wont have unit markings if theyre not on unlimited.

shoulda showed the underside with the F-86 imposed on the F-104. its a sweet paint job as many Jadgeschwaders turn out on special occasions. for those that havent seen it yet you can see more in the Oct issue of Aircraft magazine

is it the SoCal terrian? if so there is russian hardware all over the american southwest. had my base defended by zues23's and hawks and got lit up by an ADA 113 with vulcan 10 miles from homeplate. nice terrian but the hardware assignments and intensity of it are just crazy. and i downloaded it just to fly outta NAS Miramar!(i know what the marines call it now it'll always be Fightertown USA thank you!)

i'm waiting for campaigns til i get home and load NF4+ on my wifes HP touchscreen which is a lil more capable than my compaq laptop(hehehehehe) but flying single mission i have noticed that most of the add on birds are VERY twitchy on yaw. the jaguar and migs love to swing side to side after the slightest control inputs. also all birds start cutting to the left on takeoff causing me to correct until around 100 kts airspeed. thought it might be the controller at first but tried it on autopilot and same effect.

it does happen sometimes. i was converting the EF-4C from gen 1 to gen 2 back in july when a bug forced me to reset my computer. i lost all the work i had down on that as well as 3 other planes. on the bright side you should remember what you did roughly and build back up possibly better than before!

damn hell of a end for a show. i've seen two scenes of blackadder now(the first was in iraq, the scene where rowan atkinson explains the procedure for stepping on a mine) how long has this show run? where can i find it besides youtube? streaming video moves kinda slow in this part of the world. and finally please excuse my ignorance but what is today?

ok i have a few questions bout some of the terrains out there as used in SF2 series. 1 is there a limit to how many terrians one can load in the mods folder without compromising game performance? 2 downloaded Wrench's Southern California terrian and it kicks ass for fighting. However i was wondering if there was a way to convert it to more like real life so i can run training and testing there instead of getting smoked by zues23's 10 miles from home plate or should i have d/l anearlier version for that? 3 is there any way to change the FM's on the AI birds to compensate for mountains? i have been finding my self losing wingmen quite a bit to mountainsides since downloading that terrain. might not help that i like flyin in the weeds and rocks. those pesky migs and sams dont seem to like it there but niether do wingmen. also have a question bout the ww2 europe terrain but want to do a bit more research before i ask and get told to look in the KB as always thanks for the help

i don't see why it couldnt be done except that you would also hae to record the call signs and likely all the speech to the approprite accent. otherwise your text(which looks easy enough to change) will say "Kurnass" but you'll still have a female voice saying "Oyster"! got an isreali and/or arabic friend who doensnt mind being recorded?

first welcome to combat ace. as to playing to finish a campaign(theres 3 of them stock) you select how long you want. short normal or hard. you can select the same level of difficulty for the game model(flight model weapon and radar usage) and the enemy skill as well. the F-16 can be found in the downloads section for SF1/WOV/WOE/WOI. not being a Viper pilot im not as sure as to its accuracy but it looks right to me! many of your questions about the stock game can be found by reading the manual in the main game files. also in the forum section of Combat Ace is a Knowledge Base. many of your questions as a beginner can be answered there again welcome to Combat Ace
