Bloody Hundreth Tanking into the 90s: 100th ARW skin for the KC=135R This skinpack is a representation of the 100th Air Refueling Wing at RAF Mildenhall during the 1990s. Tracing its lineage back to the 100th Bomb Group of WW2, the 100th has featured nose arts on its tankers throughout the year, often replicating or paying tribute to nose arts from the original Bloody Hundreth Included* two skins; one 1993 in the Shamu scheme and one 1998 in the AMC grey scheme decals for both skins including nose arts for all aircraft that had them Required a legal functioning install of any SF2 version KC-135R aircraft and sounds, found in the download section https://combatace.com/files/file/12454-mirage-factory-c-135ab-and-kc-135aer/ Installation unzip this mod, then install new mod folder categories to your mod folder (Aircraft to aircraft etc) allow overwrites fire up game, take off and go pass gas Known Issues -This is meant as eye candy. unfortunately, SF2 doesnt support air to air refueling so the best to be done is set up a recon mission and then park it in an orbit. -Also, the C-130 cockpit is not too accurate. it is included mainly so that it can be player selected (i had to test it somehow). remember that there is no air to air refueling in game, so these are more eye candy than operational birds *Wagner CD not included Credits BPAO (Olivier Anguille, RIP) - original model Dave- head of original released original project Dels- C-130 cockpit yakarov79- drogue basket model, original skin templates Wrench- tech advice, approval master extrodinaire daddyairplanes- research, ini edits, texture and tga work, new additions to templates ************************************************************* This is freeware; it CANNOT be distributed unless permissions are granted by myself. Bought from Singapore in 2019, these contract tankers are supporting USAF as well as NATO operations Included* KC-135R (Civil) aircraft two skins to highlight the blue Shamu scheme (3 serial numbers) and the Agean Ghost Scheme (1 serial number) Cockpit and ini edits to make player flyable drogue "weapon", addable in the loadout screens Required a legal functioning install of any SF2 version Installation unzip this mod, then install new mod folder categories to your mod folder (Aircraft to aircraft etc) allow overwrites fire up game, take off and go pass gas Known Issues -This is meant as eye candy. unfortunately, SF2 doesnt support air to air refueling so the best to be done is set up a recon mission and then park it in an orbit. -Also, the C-130 cockpit is not too accurate. it is included mainly so that it can be player selected (i had to test it somehow). remember that there is no air to air refueling in game, so these are more eye candy than operational birds - there are currently no wingtip MPRS pods for these aircraft. Once some have been sourced (via new aircraft model or pod model) they will be added in -the Agean Ghost is not 100% accurate. there were not very good pics of the wings, plus model quirks meant some patches had to be put on each wing ot allow for color onthe airbrakes (all 4 of which were mapped to the two on the left wing) *Wagner CD not included Credits BPAO (Olivier Anguille, RIP) - original model Dave- head of original released original project Dels- C-130 cockpit yakarov79- drogue basket model, original skin templates Wrench- tech advice, approval master extrodinaire daddyairplanes- research, ini edits, texture and tga work, new additions to templates Big Thanks to Jimbib for research asssitance with the Metrea Agean Ghost camoflage ************************************************************* This is freeware; it CANNOT be distributed unless permissions are granted by myself. 4. thats not a Mustang mandatory screenie, or sneak preview?
  5. much as you wont like this answer make your own list. go through google, airfighters.net, pinterest, FB, etc gathering as many pics as you can and logging what ones you find. and feel lucky to only be doing 26. my OCD kicks in and im trying to place EVERY F-16A/B made by General Dynamics where they were in 1983, 1986 and 1989
  6. thank you the trick is to find a pic of any old chrome (or other) piece of metal, then apply it as a layer over the spot you want shiny play with opacity as needed
  7. 10 of 15 done, churnin through nose arts like a of course i gotta ask if youre
  8. we'll his hearts in the right spot, but he needs help from folks that are way more knowledgable than most in this conversation that said, i suspect that a few amongst us have dug deep like he wants, but for whatever reasons arent sharing. there are sometimes avionics or other DLL questions that get answered yet seem like some stuff is held back.....

  10. not unless the US and China get into it (which we dont want real world...) or rules of engagement prevent the long range shot. but between AWACS, COMINT/SIGINT and the better reliabilty of fighter avionics and weapons, the USAF and USN can deliver on what was promised in Vietnam; consistent BVR kills really funny is that the F/A-18E that got a kill in Syria tried AIM-9X first, then extended and switched to AMRAAM when the Winder got spoofed by flares... yes the 9X.
  11. Thunder Thursday

wait, arent they in the exact same spot as the last pic you posted Fayetteville Hogs over the Adriatic
  12. SF2 Loading crashes

Win11 and SF2 are perfectly fine on my laptop that was Win11 from the factory. My desktop got upgraded from 10 to 11 after i was stuck with only the laptop for 6 months. it has issues with some of my programs to include SF2 crashing the whole system. in the case of SF2, im also usually running several tabs in GIMP and at least one instance of the LODviewer. cant think of the why of top of my head but my system now doesnt like doing all that at once. some of the time. so basically, works fine if i watch what im doing. desktop icons i have mainly by going in the ThirdWire main folder (typically yourComp\Program Files(x86)\ ThirdWire\Strike Fighters 2) and then sending teh various exes to desktop (ya know, where it creates a shortcut). but i got plenty of exes and shortcuts going
  13. why are there so many MiG-21s in Missouri?
  14. Viper Pit

oh, just remind me that i have 90 of the 388th serials figured out, although not which one goes to which squadron why dont you. In fact, while youre at it why dont you give me a nice paper cut and poour some lemon juice in it? heres an early Viper, many years later you ever strafe something just to see what the damn thing is?
  15. you could go back to Nam, or you could head to the Gulf. ya know ala the latest ODS 30th Anniversary..... mandatory screenie, or get away from my wingman

Flying Tigers on the Hunt... and your trivia for today: the 74th FS in 1995 had the most D model Block 40 (6) of any unit outside of Luke AFB. Given the 23rd Wing's role to support the 82nd Airborne Division at the time, these were assigned to act as Fast FACs
  18. your sir are a damn steely eyed missile man! i also had been basing off of Metrea Simulations pics of their virtual plane (via artstation); thats proven not to be too accurate oddly enough https://www.artstation.com/artwork/zDgdG6 photos for the sides have been good though im pretty comfortable with the colors as they are now, and have to make some adjustment due to model (like both side airbrakes being mapped to the same spot) but overall this is way more than what ive had so far just the blurry pic alone should get it dialed in abit more. once im done with medical emergencies and the 100th ARW in 1998..........
  19. i would doubt there are any on the 23's; while there would likely be alot of interest just for the uniqueness of it i dont think many were aware of it you sir, are the biggest resident expert in all equipment Soviet or DDR.....
