Ideas for sending two pallets from Belgium to Spain?
daddyairplanes replied to Stratos's topic in The Pub
it may be cheaper to rent a truck or van and drive. not knowing you two's cities i checked Madrid to Antwerp (first cities per country off top of my head) 1600 km, about two days trip each way. a 2500 km (well 1600 mile for me) trip took me about 3 days with flying back after the drive. would have been 2 1/2 but i drove into a bad snow storm at the tag end of it. edit: possibly faster for your drive. i forgot that most European highways have faster speed limits than American ones and i couldnt get above 65mph until i crossed the Mississippi River -

Echoes Across the States: KC-135E Stratotanker's First 15 Years

for the KC-135, almost. you for got Singapore which operated Rs until recently several others operate 707 based tankers. Canada, Israel, Brazil and Iran just off the top of my head and since the late 2000s there have been at least two civil companies that i can think of that operated KCs; Omni and Metrea. im debating myself really hard about doing a askin for teh Metrea birds (which are teh retired Singapore birds) -

well thank you funny thing bout that pic. i forgot about the 3 decal per mesh rule. yeah, me the freakin decal whisperer . had the tail fin, the tail code, tail number and special tail nums (as seen above) for left and right. the regular tail num was just one decal. started getting mad when the "22 ARS" was showing on the right side. played with naming. played with the decal ini. finally pull up my hand and count them out. naming off each decal regular numbers, one two three boss bird. one two three.... four. dammit had to redo the tail stripe tga to include the MO code we're all better now -

why is it soooo hard to get decent info on tankers from 1992 to 1995? took about 3 hours to find the boss bird from 92, and you'd think that would be heavily documented -

well, you had F-51s in Korea. and while it was the backwater conflict, it was also still the hotter one of the two -

and here i thought you'd go the easy route, with the 86th Fighter Wing in Germany scrambling to reequip with jets during the Berlin Airlift (in RL they flew F-47Ds until 1950) -

View File Echoes Across the States: KC-135E Stratotanker's First 15 Years Echoes Across the States: KC-135E Stratotanker's First 15 Years This skinpack is a remod of the TMF KC-135E done years ago. While utilizing the same model, it now features a greatly improved texture set, ini performance enhancements and each of the skins is researched to be as accurate as is possible with current knowledge. Included * two KC-135E versions, (82) and (92) sixty (yes 60!) skins between the two versions. most Shamu based skins also feature nose arts Cockpit and ini edits to make player flyable drogue "weapon", addable in the loadout screens Required a legal functioning install of any SF2 version Installation unzip this mod, then install new mod folder categories to your mod folder (Aircraft to aircraft etc) allow overwrites fire up game, take off and go pass gas Known Issues -This is meant as eye candy. unfortunately, SF2 doesnt support air to air refueling so the best to be done is set up a recon mission and then park it in an orbit. - Also, the C-130 cockpit is not too accurate. it is included mainly so that it can be player selected (i had to test it somehow). remember that there is no air to air refueling in game, so these are more eye candy than operational birds - dont manuever aggressively. aggressive manuvering will cause a deep stall. its a huge pain to recover from as a player (firewall the throttle, set flaps to landing, yank stick back and hold). any AI wingmen wont make it trying to follow you *Wagner CD not included Credits BPAO (Olivier Anguille, RIP) - original model Dave- head of original released original project Dels- C-130 cockpit guruu- E8engine sound for the TF33s yakarov79- drogue basket model, original skin templates PeacePuma- research assist, tga work on FACH skin Menrva- data ini edits(mainly collision boxes) Wrench- tech advice, approval master extrodinaire daddyairplanes- research, ini edits, texture and tga work, new additions to templates TK- the overall game in all its modability ************************************************************* This is freeware; it CANNOT be distributed unless permissions are granted by myself. the E models are just about ready for the general public, im literally waiting to hear back from an Air National Guard Wing about their history. a standard nose art across their fleet, and i have 4 made, with 2 more known to exist but not what they are. if no word by next weekend then out of the paint barn they come meanwhile, after some RL business, modding goes on. the R needs some love too, although its not getting as much as the E did APU fixes original new -

an Impala helped get my Soldier out of trouble (ish) a long time ago back at Bragg so there we were taking a truck with water trailer back to get more water. suddenly the brakes locked up and we swapped ends, doing a 180 turn WITHIN the confines of a two lane road (no tire marks outside the lines). the trailer was a quarter full of water so the sudden shift caused the trailer to tip over as we came to a stop. but nobody hurt (although the other two Soldiers thought I got thrown when i hooped out as soon as we stopped to check the vehicle and surroundings) they tried saying my driver was speeding. i was able to say she wasnt because immediately before this happened i was looking at an Impala and pissed about the rims they had put on a classic car like that. turned out the trailer had an air leak (wasnt ours but the unit we were attached to at that moment) which drained the air tanks in the truck. once the tanks get empty, bam! truck automatically braked itself to a stop. - - - - - - - - - yeah i know long for an off topic bit. heres a plane
