on a series note, what am i missing on the Tank skins? texture named A-7_TANK, in each skin folder, saved as jpg like the aircraft ones.. hell, id think it would at least default to the stock skin with some green ontop.... disregard, got it to show in game, but as a bmp. evidently the tanks dont like jpg...... -

In theory ( and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong) you could adjust the hit boxes so they are on the outer edges of the hangar, with big non-collidable space in the center. I have been thinking of the opposite, taking a periscope that's on a few subs ( as the only, very small model) and expanding the hit boxes and radar return size so it's a viable, attackable object in game. Would give sub hunters something to do in game... with scripted missions so a P-3 isnt going after a regular convoy with anti sub torps. -

yeah well, remember the bit yesterday about well mapped models? im becoming convinced TK learned to map on these here. and i know its not the worst one out there. so many little panels out in left field or seams just slightly askew...... -

or release it as a 707-310 or -321 or such. the -3xx number was different for alot of airframes with Boeings customer codes for the original airframes -

oooooorrrr (and im just spitballin here) use this for real aircraft tga base liveries, El Al is on there for all eras that they flew big Boeings. if you want to use as a static, take the tga from the above, and adjust it onto the skin itself -

in Adobe (maya or max) its a transparent material. a blinn in maya. not sure if its texture in Blender (what im guessing toot is using) and yes you have to actively add it. you could just select the faces that are the windows, although it would be better for them to be seperate objects. if htey arent, consider detaching them from the nose somehow also, i suggest taking a look at a few completed aircraft in Mue's lodviewer to see how things are laid out in general. looking at the main objects and their child objects. it should help as you are setting up your own models -

most of us are reasonable. show us a problem, give details to get our eyes directly to the issue and we will fix it even if its a mod we wrapped along time ago. many dont have folks look at their work before release, and even those that do, stuff gets missed. i did redownload and take a peek due to this arguement though. plus Alconbury seemed a better place to set up a loading screen than Aviano. @Sundowner, got another airfield issue for you. I know its in Scotland and all, but pretty sure the hills shouldnt be overrunning the pavement did have an amusing hop from the grassy EOR onto the proper runway tho -

well it was meant to be humorous, obviously you didnt take as such but it does stand that there are several airfields. if its a noticable enough to take a screenie and post, then go back and see where you were. when i have an issue, i do try to help and mention where i was flying out of. since i havent flown in the UK terrain in years, i have obviously have no interest in seeing which of dozens it is. Sundowner worked this years ago; despite it being his terrain he most likely doesnt remember every airfield by sight. so to recap, if something bothers you enough to mention publicly, then at least give more details as well as the screenshot. terrains have alot more parts than aircraft or ground objects and giving both will help the modder to fix the issue. -

(puts on retired NCO cap) really? how can he unfuck the problem if you cant even give him directions to the problem?!?!?!? theres multiple airbases in the terrain, and its not like he's being paid for tech support on it. only slight defense is that it did take him almost 3 years to reply to the original problem.... (NCO cap back off, walk into the kitchen for more coffee) -
What Cat are A-4B cockpit textures in?
daddyairplanes replied to dtmdragon's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
i doubt that, i've never had issue with your English but your post was sufficient at "CAT001". all the rest and the pic distract from the actual information requested and while you did provide a list that had the information itself, some people like to do their own reading nothing wrong either way.
